  1. Wow, I want to go NOW
  2. Ok, thanks for the info Mark, I suppose they are allowed a bit of 'Artistic license' if it makes it more fun whilst playing the game.
  3. We can hope though, but I know what you mean...
  4. Yes it used to be broadcast from the studio based in this building. It was cheesy but was great fun at the time. I remember queueing many times for the classic Flying Fish listening to Thorpe Park Radio. :(Edit - Blimey I didn't realise how large the photo would come up, is there any way to resize it?
  5. I was a bit confused by this also.
  6. Nice report, looking forward to reading the rest. We went to Florida last year and it was my first time. We only did the Disney and Universal parks but had such a great time. Seeing your photos and reading your report brings back a lot of memories. Thanks!
  7. Thorpe Park Radio was the park’s own on-site radio station that played chart music and ride & show adverts to guests in the ride queues.Unfortunately this Thorpe Park classic was taken off the air at the end of the 1996 season.Does anybody else remember Thorpe Park Radio?
  8. Thanks, sorry but what does SPG mean?
  9. I must say as a reasonably new member I have been really impressed with the welcome I have received from other members. Ok I joined quite some time ago but have only just started posting recently.

I really enjoyed last weeks Season opener, the new aliens are a really creepy creation. Looking forward to tonight's episode.
  11. Wow Starry Sky Ripper looks really intense!
  12. I believe it opened as Phantom Fantasia in 1983 and was rethemed as Wicked Witches Haunt in 1994.
  13. Wow that sounds really good. What other rides are featured in the footage? Would be great if somebody did have the equipment.
  14. ^ Cool, it is exciting to know that bits of the theming are already starting to arrive at the park. Thanks
  15. Tidal Wave's theming was great when it first opened. I remember all of these working at one point. It would be great if somebody had some video footage of them, especially the nice warming fire effect. Also does the overflowing toilet still work?
  16. I have just had to download Google Earth to have a look at some of these great models. Well done to javs, Thrillseek3r and anybody else involved, thanks for all your hard work, the park is really starting to look great in 3D.
  17. I think the current marketing for the ride is very interesting and (hopefully) a great indication of things to come.I think one possibility for story of the trains could be a rescue/ salvage craft surveying the aftermath/ disaster area.
  18. I for one will be waiting to hear about any little updates people manage to discover
  19. Yes I saw the promo for the new series on TV last night. It would not normally be my kind of show but as it is at Thorpe....
  20. I believe there have been two mini/ crazy golf courses at the park, one during the 80s and then Jungle Zone Family Golf that opened in 1994. I think it was built where there used to be some slides coming down the side of the Dome and now Rush and Quantum stand in this area. It was a great little Jungle themed crazy golf course with lots of bamboo and Zebra print painted areas. I think it closed after the 2000 season.
  21. Yes I agree with Queue jumpers, queue smokers and Chavs. BUT one thing I really cannot stand about some of Thorpe Park’s modern guests is all the spitting! Please tell me I am not the only one that this really annoys.
  22. Thanks for sharing this website. The site looks quite old but they have some great photos on there. The one of the Tidal Wave theming being constructed is cool. Really I wish I had taken some good photos and video of the ride while the water tower and fire effect were still working.
  23. I am kind of divided on this one, art wise it is definitely a lot nicer to look at than Thorpe's 2010 map but it does look very busy/cluttered.

Very random Parent and Child episode of Takeshi's Castle on Challenge. I really should not channel hop at this time of the night.
