Fantastic reading back on that report Mer It was a great trip all day! Even if we had all the weather known to man happening! Also seeing Sidders face just as shock at Towers made me smile! I love bringing newbies to Alton! I can't wait to the next for the next one! SMILE, SMILE, SMILE... ALWAYS!

Saw right through the TTF news article, was rather good though! Also any pictures of The Smiler do not show the actual size of it, it is HUGE in person! Just the landscape of X-Sector make it look smaller than it actually is! Pretty much the same as Oblivion.

Some of the inversions are very tight and I think it was a two way thing between Merlin & Gerstlauer , remember Merlin are the same people they put a 1.4m height restriction on a dark ride, of course they'll put OTSRs on a ride that's inverts 14 times! I believe someone was saying how the first inversion is so tight that the upper body needed to be support by OTSRs to not cause stress on the body! Everyone would of loved lapbars, but it was very clear the word go, it wasn't going to have them!

The trains look AMAZING! Totally in love with the logo at the front, so nice that the train isn't all black or gray! Yay for colour! Can't say I'm surprised at OTSRs, I've been on Team OTSRs for ages, all you losers think they'll build a rollercoaster that mental and put lapbars on it? (Though that spiny pattern in the back of the seats will drive me crazy! Front seats for me I think!)

Alton Towers will be closed tomorrow (Sunday 24th), confirmed by their Twitter. This isn't a good start to the season for Towers! Or the lead up to the Easter Holidays! But the snow is unbearable up here, really hard to imagine how bad it is unless you're around or in the area! Roads are at an standstill and loads of places cut off, I hope this clears up fast! I can't see any progress happening on The Smiler in these conditions.

Just because Saw is rough, doesn't mean every single Gerstlauer built is rough, from what I've seen/heard, its actually fault on Thorpe's side (groundwork wise), not Gerstlauer's trains/track & other components, but yes I would like to see over-head lapbars rather than standard over head restraints, but who knows.

Well that's disappointing but understandable, It would be nice for them to put on services again, maybe another bus run just for visitors, especially for Uttoxeter as it is the closest rail link to Towers, but sometimes convenience can't always be on our side!

Certainly going to hard not to look down with that beauty close by! (Though The Smiler doesn't get into Oblivion's area as much as I thought it would.) Oblivion looks beautiful, Black is the new Black!

New map isn't really new but its nice they've kept with the 3 year map thing, would of looked odd having that map for 2 years then changing it, I'm shocked they've done the impossible task of fitting The Smiler in that already squashed map! But it looks nice from a poster form of view and I know Alton will do some finishing touching before opening day because normally The Sun is just a "preview" of the map, the finished article is normally more clear-ish.

Oh ANOTHER attraction for Thomas Land? I wonder when Drayton Manor is going to re-name its whole park into Thomas Land?

I also waved at you AstroDan but you also looked confused and baffled! Fantastic days I've had at Alton Towers, both Sunday's were lovely, 24th was so dead! So strange having re-rides on Nemesis! Was awfully cold on the 24th though. First time I've ate in Woodcutters aswell! Great service with lovely food and a really nice atmosphere inside, only downside is I wish the inside was a tiny bit bigger but will definitely be eating there again! Sonic is more violent that what I remember from last season but that might just be the weather! Once its warmed it I'm sure it will be okay. Seeing The Smiler track was strange aswell, doesn't block the view of Oblivion as much as people thought it would, was strange being on park and not hearing the loud thundering boom of Oblivion but I've heard it will be back booming on the 16th! The Moshi Monsters scared me abit.. strange looking things but I think Alton was onto a winner! Really worked for the park, I'd be surprised if this wasn't the busiest and biggest February half term ever! Nemesis was being as lush as usual, so damn forceful than what I remember, I actually can't ride it without screaming! Back row just pulled my face off, amazing. Air was a little bit rattly but I put that down to the weather, and I felt comfortable in them restraints! Normally I hate Air's restraints and puts me off the ride but it didn't feel so bad this time and walk on pretty much all Sunday 24th! Hex looks so much better, the new projector and other fixed effects really do have an affect on the ride, same again with all the rides at Alton that was open, putting 110% into them when they really didn't have too. I also got to explore the hotels for the first time in half term and they're so GOOD. I adore the hotels so much, the atmosphere in them is beyond perfection, so cosy and didn't wanna leave Splash, it was lovely sitting in the warmth watching the massive bucket of water splash down on the poor victims under it, could sit in there all day, I need to stay there ASAP! So yeah, thank you everyone who came, was my taxi, made jokes about the poor lady serving on the hot dog counter & more, lovely seeing everyone, meeting new faces and catching up with old faces! I personally do not like any of the line-up BUT alot of people I know & on Facebook/Twitter do! I think Alton Towers Live will be a big hit this year because most of the line up have been number one hits for the past year... alot of people know who they are! (Its even currently the top trend in the UK on Twitter!) but of course they can't please everyone, so they stuck to mainstream artists which is fair enough! But I LOVE The Smiler image on that promo for Alton Towers Live.

Ooo what do we have here... I'll pick out 4 highlights of the on-ride photos I have so far! My first on-ride photo I brought & my first ride on Air, yes that was also my first & only time I wore my glasses on a ride, yet later on the same day I refused to wear them on Sonic?!: From my first trip to Thorpe park, the four faces of pain thanks to SORE I mean Saw the ride: And last but no means least, Thirteen with sideburns and a trying to smile but forgot how forceful Thirteen drop is look!: And my most recent one, NEMESIS, first ride of 2013! Transformers Florida has gone up stupidly fast, like last time I checked an update on it, it was only framework and now the outside it pretty much finished, from breaking ground to completion is 9 months? Go Universal!
