You really really wouldn't enjoy survive inversions on a suspended (as opposed to an inverted) coaster!

If it ends up looking anything like that I'll eat Twirling Toadstall.

As the position will require you to deal with customers mostly in English I would think they would want you to demonstrate your English skills during the interview so it could not be in Italian. If you have written the above post without help I think your English should be fine! They'll want to see that are confident as much as anything. Sometimes an accent and quirky way with words can make you stand out from a crowd so just be yourself and see what happens. Good luck!

Hi Ho, Hi Ho... I don't really know what to think. It's charming, and how can you not love anything with that song in it, but as an actual coaster it seems bizarrely paced. I hope it rides better than it looked, Alvey seemed to think so and mentioned the swinging being more noticeable than expected. He didn't seem too excited by it at the end though, did he?

Great read, I'm glad the SLC never came off! I don't think the cause of the fire has ever been confirmed, rumours of the cigarette butt have always been about I've never seen it reported as fact and I've looked quite a bit. Would be interesting to know what actually happened, or if they even got to the bottom of it themselves. Fire investigations are often inconclusive, what with most of the evidence being on fire.

Errr? I don't think it was very popular to be honest. It certainly wasn't when I was there, and the LA times agrees I just don't think a standard off the shelf clone with low throughput is something we should aspire to for Thorpe's 'next big thing', and that is aside from my own opinion of them being dull, cumbersome, uncomfortable rattly piles of junk.

I had no idea the Chinese translation of Coca-Cola was an owls eyes staring it you? 可口可 <TwitTwoo

I personally hate boomerangs in all their guises. Pointless dull rides. Deja Vu was easily the worst coaster at 6FMM on my visit. We should be aiming higher than that, shouldn't we?

It was a bit like flying into the 'island like no other' image, and looking about a bit using cut ins of various old ads and an odd Angry Bird mock up.
-
Is it low throughput, or is it just insanely popular? I'd love one, can't believe the ToyStory didn't come with one initially either. I don't think it would even be that large an investment either, now the technology has already been developed it must be a lot cheaper than the original was.

Because it's blackcurrants. And because it's crap.
-
Now you've said it I'm thinking maybe it was like that actually.

It's been like that for a couple of years, with rope lighting draped over it that is never on any more.

And just in case you are asking if they check the photo because you were going to lend it to someone else, don't. They'll take it off them and you won't get it back!

This is fan made or something, yes?

They have been sending this stock reply when people have asked since a few days after it didn't open at the start of the season, nothing has changed. I suppose the longer it goes on the worse it looks for a return, but lets not write her off yet!

No they don't. They have an announcement they play saying something like 'Due to the weather conditions riders may currently find riding Stealth uncomfortable. If you would like to wait until the weather passes please stand aside and let others pass you'. Stealth remains open in all but the wildest rain.

When the science week display was up it included the woodie plans for the saw site. In the half hour or so I was there chatting to the host at least 5 or 6 people cooed over it asked "wow, when's that coming", everything I heard said about it was massively positive. Maybe that was just coincidence while I was there, if not you'd hope the general excitement for the plan was fed back to whoever needs to know.

Let's see if everyone survives the mammoth treck to blackpool first, eh?!

Banned for having a problem with active moderators.

Reads like it's a neighboring property, unless B+M's are made from my baked bean tins I put in my recycling box? Always wondered where that stuff ends up.

... Goes without saying really! 'Europes first wooden coaster at a place called Thorpe Park?' All these things are almost certainly true, but entirely guessable. If they are any way into the planning process (ie already at market research stage) I'm sure they'd have a narrower field than 6, although if they are going to the trouble of market research they may as well chuck some questions in about 'non-runners' just to get a feel for the future I suppose. I don't know about a pinch of salt, I'll take this with a bucket of the stuff.
