I find that alton towers rapids and flume do go for a bit long and I have got bored on both of them because they really do go though long bits of doing nothing as where thorpe is short and sweet no time for being bored, and the last few times I been on them they have been a lot more ruffer

It looks really good and I think its good that merlin are continuing to improve the swarm rather then just build it and leave it to rot

Hey everyone. I wanted to share my photos from winter wonderland yesterday Overall it was a very good day, there's lot to do there, but it is very expensive most rides costing £6, so did not manage to get on a lot, all the rides are very well themed for Christmas and the theming in general is amazing. I also went to the Zippo's Christmas Circus that lasted for just under a hour, it was very good and funny, it was a mix between a circus act and a panto definitely worth a visit for all ages. The observation wheel was not the greatest, it went around 3 times by the end it was a boring and there is only one side really worth looking out of, but I did manage to get some good photos and you get your choice of commentary or Christmas music. The Ice kingdom claimed to be 40 minutes of fun, but it is not very big and we were in and out in about 20 minutes but lots of photo opportunities. Food and drink I experienced from the carousel bar that is a slow moving small carousel inside a building with a food service and a bar, it came to £18 for two burgers and chips without any drinks. All the food and drink there was really expensive too. The Market was a bit of a let down, it was the same few stalls over and over again selling the same stuff. In case your not aware as I was not it all has a German theme to it so there its a few German rides and a lot of the stall and food is German stuff but its all really well themed and it make me laugh when I heard a German version of We no speak americano around parts of it Overall it was a good but very expensive day out, if you want to do everything you would need a lot of money, but it is a good afternoon out you couldn't spend all day there is not enough to do. I wouldn't be heading back there is a rush due to the cost I don't think it is good value for money but for one a once off visit give it a go.

just got back today from the pier, just wondering what are the big digital number screen used for on top of the ride op thing? most of them just said 6. It is £20 for 30 tokens now! that's so expensive

How Do Merlin And Thorpe Park Annual Passes Work?
Mr. Fish replied to Arrow's question in Quick Questions
The annual pass is just a photo id with a bar code that they will scan when you enter. They normally is a gate or a sign for annual pass holders! There is two type of ap, there is the standard that does not give you any parking discount but it does give you 20% off most thing in the park, or there is the premium pass that includes all car parking costs If you have the standard past just a little tip I learnt was if there main queue is busy, so to the advance pick up office that normally empty and they can give you car parking tickets too! -
I'm not saying its right, but it make you think your getting something for your money, like my girlfriend said to me when we first went to towers, £6 is not bad for parking seeing u have to get the monorail there, its all about making people think there getting something for there money
-
I can see why alton have to charge more because you get a monorail thrown it too, it fells like your getting something for your money so people dont moan about it as much
-
I dont mind paying the car parking charges I was just informing everyone lol, but I really do wish they would get parking machines! When you think about it, to go to my local cinema, if you go for a long film and park over four hours its £8!!!!!!!!!!! How much does towers charge you to park in the car park that dont need the monorail?
