  1. Screamscape have posted an interesting article about Raptor: Genetix. http://www.screamscape.com/html/gardaland.htm
  2. Macks new mega coaster 'The Storm' with a twist for Etnaland in 2013 is looking good and almost fully built. And this is the reason behind Macks sucess, the mighty blue track. Credit to MACK Rides FB page.
  3. Have to say all day yesterday they were releasing the train in the station as the other one was flying through the station inline. I actually heard a staff member saying what would happen if it reached the top of the lift hill before the other train was back in the station. 1260 is brilliant for a new ride at Thorpe and smashing the projected 1100pph. Keep it up Thorpe Park for the peak season
  4. I feel that X is in its last few seasons unfortunately and have a secret love for it as it changes everyday you go on it. Sometimes it is pitch black, sometimes fully lit. A good place to go to get out of the rain aswell.
  5. Just returned from Thorpe Park and was amazed at how quiet it was for a bank holiday monday. Unfortunately no photos but all the game stalls around the arena have been removed and Rumba Rapids queue line fence seems to be getting a lick of greyish paint (do Thorpe know the meaning of a closed season). The raised water effects on The Swarm are great even if they are a tad out of sync and once again the staff on it were working brilliantly with the train often leaving as the other train was in the inline through the station. Great day with a great ridecount. Swarm: 10 (6 in 1 hour) Colossus: 2 Nemesis Inferno: 2 Saw: 1 Stealth: 1 X:/NWO: 3 Samurai: 2 Rush: 2 Loggers Leap: 4 Rumba Rapids: 3 Depth Charge: 2 Strom Surge: 1 Overall a really good day and thanks for reading.
  6. New photos of Shambhala have been posted on PA Fans which show the water splash. It has been confirmed that the splash is artificial like Manta's so won't slow down the car. Theming is also going well. And because I love the cars. Plus there's a new testing video that shows the water splash in action.
  7. A testing video of Mammoth at Holiday World has been posted on youtube following the life of the test dummines on their first ride.
  8. Stressful times with exams in the coming months and to top it all of our headteacher has decided to 'step down'. Mr Balch is the only reason my school is still going and because of a standard ofsted report the board of governors have persuaded him to 'step down'. So now we have to deal with a supply head from a catholic school who is the strictest in the borough. If he tries to change our school from church of england to catholic I might kill him. To make things worst his name sounds like a type of cat food so I'm not going to be able to contain my laughter. Good luck Mr Kibble, your going to need it.
  9. A POV of Leviathan has been realeased by TPR.
  10. More tent destruction pictures. Courtsey of Theme UK.
  11. Time to move back on to Six Flags Great Americas new ride X Flight. The keyhole element has begun construction and we have testing with riders. And for any Mack lovers Manta has begun testing.
  12. My money's on them advertising SAW ALIVE as new or more terryfying than before. I do hope it's SWARM related though.
  13. In other news Skyrush has begun the pull-through testing stages. I spy wiring for trims. Credit to Keystone Thrills.
  14. The time has come. Unfortunately no video, yet. Credit to PAC community.
  15. A comment on this photo from Thorpe Park News says that the fire effects were working yesterday. No surprise but the member didn't take a photo so take this with a pinch of salt. As we know, they said Thorpe were planning on installing a tunnel on The Swarm.

Not sure if this is a general thing or just my laptop but I cannot access chat. I can enter the room but it doesn't load. All I am able to see is 'Please wait while we load the chatroom...' Is this a general problem and is there a solution.
  18. Some close ups of the lush gold and green trains. Credit to egiptologo on TPR.
  19. Thorpe Park have cancelled the planned reload event in April due to circumstances out of their control. From Thorpe Park's Facebook page.

Wow not even open during the summer holidays. I think we know what's leaving at the end of 2012

Now that is a great model. Wouldn't mind giving Merlin my money for that piece of art
  23. There doesn't seem to be any hang time on the first inversion which is one of the best things about The Swarm. Being on the 8th row will provide a great pull through the first drop though and exit to the first zero-g. I don't get why the drop on this seems less dominating than The Swarm at only 7 feet smaller in height. At least we know there's a bit of theming on the way so it's not a traditional Six Flags car park theme.
  24. They've still got to add the keyhole effect which will have to go through clearence tests. I think Six Flags just wanted to use their new toy straight away as it opens in 6 weeks. We'll see facades just with very little detail to us as we've been spoilt with The Swarm's trains.
  25. The last B&M wingrider to be built for 2012 has begun testing. Unfortunately it is only an image but hopefully we'll see a video soon. If you hadn't worked out, credit goes to Six Flags Great America's twitter.
