  1. He passed out in the Dungeons, someone Ban him!
  2. 3/ is the correct answer, Chessington Sam wins Not just have I not been to all burger kitchens, but I haven't been to any of them (though I got an ice cream once and a couple capsule refills (does that even count)) 2/ I have walked through Inferno's cave, it was during my first (and only) ride ERT I've done which I did with TPM in 2013 (that was great fun) 1/ No joke, my grandparents are pass holders (however unfortunately their passes will expire September and be renewed as they've generally stopped visiting now)
  3. Wow, those kids :< Anyways here we go, 1/ My grandparents are legoland pass holders 2/ I have walked through Inferno's cave 3/ I've eaten at every burger kitchen in UK merlin parks
  4. Well, that definitely shed some light
  5. So Dollywood announced today they will be opening another major coaster which will open in 2016. Titled Lightning Rod, this will be the first & fastest launched Wooden coaster in the world and will be built by RMC. Dollywood is slowly becoming the park I most want to visit in the U.S outside of Florida & Cali (probably joint third with Kings Island after Cedar Point & BG Williamsburg (though my time in the states likely won't occur for a while)).
  6. Well, this building has taught me one thing. I don't think it'll be a coaster
  7. 84%! That's a horrific loss. If Mako isn't successful next year, I dread to think the outcome of Sea World's forseable future. That was all started by blackfish.

    Efteling+Bob

So Bob was a bit of Bob I guess? Efteling though looks eftcellent, how was the pancake place btw (I hear it's fab)? Did you check out the fairytale forest? What did you think of the park's dark rides Droomvlucht, Fate Morgana and Villa Volta (does it beat Hex?) I'm excited when I get out here in November (hopefully the start of my creaking in to Europe more). What tips would you give when visiting? I think I'm a but more excited for the pancake shop over Baron, just a little bit.
  9. Unsure what's happening so far in October as its gonna be a busy time and am yet to receive my work schedule however should hopefully be able to do the 3rd, 18th, and 24th. Will likely be working on at least one of the Sunday's however as long as it's just morning I'll hopefully still make it. Saturday the 17th got plans but again as long as they don't surpass the morning. I've voted for both as I enjoy Fright Nights but have have always wanted to go to Tulleys (maybe someone would want to do an unofficial trip to the losing one the day before/after the official meet maybe. Please note I'll likely need a lift to Tulleys and if it falls on a work day or the 17th, it is unlikely I'll be able to make it
  10. I think Toadie's location is probably one the reasons why it receives high queues (much like Spinball, a Truckers & Storm Surge) not also helped by the fact park just can't cope with guests numbers its receiving its current state seeing the park's attendance surge in the last 5/10 years despite few major additions which will likely reach or exceed 2m by the end of the decade. Toadie's site could be home to a great medium sized family coaster along the lines of Juvelin or fire chaser express which would add a worth while addition, not to mention improve throughputs a little (heck remove peeking and the site then is even bigger).
  11. Interesting new marketing, looks this ride will have a heavy psychological theme to it, I look forward to how this develops.

    Youtube Videos

Some of theme park mates (most of whom are members here) produce a weekly video on their channel Talk Themeparks, who specialise in discussing about park news in the UK,Europe and beyond in a relaxed, informal and open style (which I have recently started joining in with). Would appreciate it if anyone could like, share & subscribe to their channel
  13. Ooh, heard about this, potentially exciting news if true, Blackpool is well due another major ride, rumour has it, the coaster will be a Mack launched and part of the ride is going where the go karts are currently positioned.
  14. After 18 years of service & existence at WDW, it will be game over for Disney Quest which will be closing for good in 2016 to make way for an NBA experience restaurant as Downtown Disney continues it's transformation in to Disney Springs which should be complete 2016/2017. Source-Themepark Tourist Whilst I never got to experience it (or WDW yet as a whole), Disney Quest is basically like a giant arcade, ish their park with lots of games and attractions with many themed or tied in to Disney rides and properties. The whole concept when it was created back in the 90's was to add more compact/localised Disney's to places that were noticeable distances around the world, but sadly never took off, one used to exist in Chicago but shut down years ago. Whilst aged beyond repair, it'll be a shame to see this place shut down. It reminds me a little of Sega World a bit.
  15. Out of interest, what's everyone thinking/planning to do Food-wise at the park? I've checked the main site & the main eatery is called the Oak Tree Restaurant which offers a wide selection of pub style food such as classics like fish & chips, steak pie plus burgers & more. They even do drinky drinks for those alcoholics . Menu http://www.oakwoodthemepark.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/Oak-Tree-Menu1.pdf Apart from that, I don't think there's much too offer, just a couple of fast food like places and an ice cream shop. I went to Dixie's Diner when I last went and the food was very very average (and quite expensive). http://www.oakwoodthemepark.co.uk/plan-your-visit/park-facilities/
  16. Don't do inversion counts anymore, it's all about creds (notably coasters, dark rides & parks as a whole). I didn't get a single inversion when I did Skyforce either because of the strong wind or that I'm crap at doing these things

    Scarefest

2 hours is a good length but £80 (at Pass rate) is too much! Should really be £60 at full rate max really.

    Toverland

Loverly pictures of the sky there, although I do wonder what that giant wooden structure thingy is in the distance though? How did Tover compare to the other parks on the trip? It's a place I'm thinking of visiting in the future (alongside another park) but I hear it's tricky to get to.
  19. For those interested, the video from my lift hill walk experience of Swarm is now live. On top of seeing what the experience entails & witnessing the stunning views, there's a live commentary about some of the technical aspects of the park as well, enjoy.

    Legoland

Yep both places charged 50p a map around 2007 time (during the end of the DIC days). I was a real sucker on my chessington visit then when I brought two maps for a pound (didn't become a MAP holder until 2010) and just after I bought them, it literally started to rain resulting in one of the maps getting very badly weather damaged
