Well if the new ride turns out to be anything like that picture, we may find ourselves rather disappointed. -
Roman Roaming: Highlights from Italy, Part 2
Matt 236 commented on BenC's blog entry in Theme Park Travels
Thanks for another highly interesting report Ben. Mirabilandia looks an impressive park with its rides such as Katun, ispeed snd shows, Al Piopi sounded insane yet amazing at the same time, especially with that giant butterfly coaster. Etna looks a loverly place as well. Shame a lot of these Italian parks are very difficult to get to (sounds like they make getting to Europa very easy). Where would you rate the park's from the whole trip in terms of favourites? -
The way Rattlesnakes gone this year, they might as well just get a new ride/coaster. Though it's an ok ride with half decent theming, it's arguable that it's throughput is too low for a park as busy as Chessington. Places like Pleasurewood Hills are fine as they receive a much smaller attendance (bench Marbles fitting there perfectly).

Well at least there was one in positive on the trip then. I've always found Chessington in the past to be a magical atmospheric place, but it does seem rather lacking this year for sone reason, whether that's because of removed theming, mixed operations and closed rides who knows. It feels for the first time, Lego & Thorpe have more atmosphere this year then Chessie. I'm going back for Halloween, but only to try out the new mazes plus night rides in addition to having never been then.

That's a shame, hopefully he wasn't in too much pain when he went. What a sad day for the zoo, strongly remember seeing a dominant male Lion on previous visits to the park, so that must've been him. Poor Ashok.

It looks nice, but it's not quite Baron! Layouts a bit meh tbh, even OTBH's layout's more inspiring.

Colossus really does have the worst trains at a UK merlin park and always seems to be the worst at dispatching at the park because of this. Would love to see them add some new lap bar style ones, even those of a similar style to Cinicitta World (sp) in Italy would be a big improvement. Ive always wondered whether it's possible to replace trains on an intamin coaster with Mack ones? If they could, that would be absolutely brilliant.

RE-uploaded part 1 of the TPM Disneyland Paris Vlog [following some sync problems on the previous version]. https://youtu.be/RQB4hiZJU0A I've also gone for more a sitcom opening/setting for this one which I hope this series of Vlogs will be one of the funniest yet.

Ok, flights & hotel now booked for Efteling, I'm going out lunchtime on friday the 6th and returning night time on Sunday the 8th November which will give me two days at the park. with park closings at 6pm and a 'lively' predicted busyness, what's the best thing to do in the evening? is there anywhere worth seeing in Eindhoven or Tilburg on the friday and would eating at the hotel [NH Waalwijk] be suggested for day one. Ticket wise thinking of going for the $44 euro one which offers free souvenir, paninni and 30 mins extra entry over the 34 euro one, is that a good idea? What's the best way to get prepared to see the Aquanora show? Also, is this true unlike most other major theme parks, the time the park closes is the actual time they stop running the rides [instead pf just closing the queue?] what's the best things to do at the start and end of days?

I do think restricting Premium holders until September and barring Standard Pass Holders hasn't done them any favours and could be one of the reasons why numbers haven't been as good as they expected.

The attention to detail and additions here are highly exciting for such a small park. Paul tons seem to be on their way to a winner there.

Amazing trip guys,raise your glasses

That theming looks lush!

This is excellent news, glad Blackpool pleasure beach are now in the black again. I just hope this season's been just as good or better so they can continue to stabilise.

You will be featured in the vlogs, prepare for enthusiasm. I hope so too, as there's many amazing parks out there in Europe. #MC16

Now we know what WC16 will be now -
Meh, seen these built before. Least they're reviews have been generally good though which is better than nothing.

Should be able to make that day (more than up for some face it alone action), I'll book/request it off at work

Generally everything at Chessington is broken except the hotels, most of the zoo and Wild Asia (sort of). Tombs,Falls,Vampire, skyways and even Rattlesnake are nearing retirement now (a thread for the first few) until they need replacing, which just leaves Bubbleworks, Scorpion, Fury and the mess that's Zufari in terms of main rides that are still ok. Tombs have a massive headache if it's still closed (especially being a Mack ride).

OMG SCAFFOLDING! Thirteen theme confirmed

Is an Amazing Adventures Of Spider Man fanatic as well

Asterisk is a park I really want to get too ASAP with its two great looking coasters, theming and more (not to mention being on the way to DLP). Those fillers rides look pretty decent and well themed and can't wait to see what this new coaster is for 2017.

Roman Roaming: Highlights from Italy, Part 1
Matt 236 commented on BenC's blog entry in Theme Park Travels
I never knew Italy was full of such little wonders. Gardaland is a park I've been wanting to visit for a while now as seems to have so much charm and love (2017 maybe). Did you try out the dark rides there and how was Mammut?
