TBH both rides are as bad as each in most ways however Toadies is the one I prefer of the 2 (especially as Truckers can get nearly 2 hours on a packed out day). However Toadies is most likely of the two to go as apparently the park want to build a coaster on the site.

Before Merlin we had an SLC, screamin squirrel & vekoma corkscrew as the leading rides Now they have a decent mine train coaster, the best Wing Rider in Europe (potentially) and a Krake style dive coaster on the way. Definitely an improved line up since takeover, but just a shame about the minimum of this ride has been applied, thirteen style marketing, Oblivion style logo and a near identical layout to Krake with white track. Efteling on the other hand put a lot more effort on the theming experience and originality of their rides overall (which can definitely be seen in their upcoming dive coaster).

In terms of coasters, I'd say Swarm, Stealth, Fish, X & Inferno stand a good chance of being open. Maybe not all 5 but I'm sure at least 2 of the big ones will be along with the fish and X

Sounds like you've had a fantastic year of Themepark adventures, which I can only envy seeing Blackpool & Towers bring my highlights so far. I think Chessington may have well been the best overall uk park this year somehow.

Happy brainiac show is returning to the park hearing of its success last year. Quite excited of the early season start and February half term (meaning there's just 2.5 months of the closed season left now) however hopefully they can pull this out of the bag compared to previous event years.

Ive eaten at most Merlin eateries and they've been pretty good. I think pizza pasta at thorpe will be a good move ImO plus more indoor seating too is s good point. Fried Chicken places at Merlin parks are surprisingly good actually, went to the Chessington one this year.
