  1. Did an inferno ride on the back row in the rain whilst dark. Quite possibly the best ride I've had on this beast this year. For once it was almost at Nemesis style force.
  2. Here's my report of. my trip to a Fright Nights Studio 13 Whilst I prefer the Asylum, this maze has quite dome original features to it and is a decent replacement. Liked the introduction scenes and scares here. Chainsaw is the same but oh well. Cabin Still my favourite maze at Thorpe which has some improvements, the maze is longer and has more scary features, plus I found the control room (though nothing happened). Shame the tunnel didn't spin and the intro wasn't as impressive with the flashing lights. Blair Witch Being so we hat of a disapointment last time, this Walkthrough is much better thus year, with a better pace, more tension and overall feel of a story. My Bloody Valentine It's alright, probably the weaker of the mazes this year, the story intro is no longer there and it didn't seem to give as much of a Chase. Saw Alive Didn't do this as it kept breaking down (why are attractions named Saw always breaking) Event was surprisingly good, pretty much all the rides were open, little queues on most rides and the park looks good at night (only second to Blackpool). My only major criticism is they needed more scare actors as I didn't really any when I was on park. Also night rode the following/ Inferno X Colossus Saw Rumba Samurai Storm Surge (yes and never again) Maze ratings 1- Cabin 8/10 2/ Studio 13 7/10 Blair Witch 7/10 MBV 6/10
  3. I fear the uk won't see another (proper) decent ride investment may not be until 2017, and that depends if Thorpe getting another coaster happens.
  4. Yeah, this project is very exciting and will hopefully be a success and reopen next year without problems. So far this is the thing I'm most excited about next year in the uk, considering there's been no word of anything new at Thorpe, a Blackpool & Oakwood (yet) plus Towers, Lego and a chessie won't be getting anything worthwhile either.
  5. Banned because I got the pun
  6. Despite being fairly basic, it looks a good logo for the park, fits well and features two prominent items there, one being the scenic and the other being the theatre.
  7. The Shard Edit-coaster dude just best me damn it!

    This Or That

    Manta Gerstlauer or Intamin?
  9. Rumours and debates suggest we will actually see the return of the original theme of the ride which existed until the ride was updated in 2005 instead of another sequel retheme. From what I'm aware it involved the sun/moon storyline, however I'm not really sure as I haven't done the ride in either form (or visited the park as a whole).

    This Or That

Mystery Of Hocus Pocus (theme tune for the winning) However haven't done either properly yet but this year I'll hopefully get to finally try them both. Oziris or Black Mamba?
  11. In regards to attendance of parks in Europe, Disneyland park is the most visited themepark in Europe (6th in the world) whilst the Studios is now the 3rd most visited (Europe). The park took quite a drop in attendance last year (somewhere around 5%) where for the first time ever, Europa park became the 2nd most visited European park. However with the recent addition of the Ratatouiee ride, I can see this years gate figures being on the rise where studios may well retain it's 2nd most visited park status again. Let's hope this loan/extra funding gives the love, investment and attendance figures it deserves as it does seem to get the mouse's share of investment at the best of times compared to the other parks and it still amazes how despite being the most visited Themepark in Europe, it still has major debt/financial issues 22 years later from opening. I think the park could greatly benefit from some Superhero attractiones (something of which will sort of happen in the future with the studios retheme) along with a Frozen ride/attraction, I know there opening a ride in Epcot WDW, but it would make sense to add one in Paris considering the films based in Norway and the series is still surprisingly popular nearly a year on. Euro Disney won't be going anywhere for a while yet, I hope.
