With UK Health and Safety I'm sure everything has been considered, it's most likely just the angle of the camera which makes it look much closer to the track than it really is.

Nemesis is my opinion is better due to the themeing and just feel of the ride. Inferno is still an awesome ride, especially at the front row

Surely making something like this a permanent "ride" should have been obvious it was never go stay busy. Firstly the film franchise is now over, secondly people only do it once its not like you want to do it every visit. I did the maze once over multiple visits over 2 years. Lastly I was never sure what people covered in blood jumping out at you like zombies had to do with the Saw movies, it just seemed very confused as to what it was supposed to be.

Making a zero tolerance policy is the only way to go, any messing about (intentionally) you you will be removed from the park. At first this will cause a lot of problems but after a while it will sink in to people and problem solved.

Agreed, its a perfect ride to get yourself in the mood for the bigger rides. I also enjoy this ride just after lunch, prepares the stomach for the bigger ones Also, I hate the re straights on this ride, I get super anxious when they ask you to put your arms up and head back, worried its gonna bash my head then lock there - wish they would just put a normal style re straight there

I haven't been since the Swarm opened however, I always start off with Stealth then head anti clockwise back around the park. Reason for this is simple as most people do the complete opposite

Take a quell before you go on it (a travel sickness pill!), it's dark, it goes backwards and you can't see much. It's not very fast and it throws you around pretty bad.But hey its a old ride and worth a ride at least, but after a few rides on Stealth etc you won't get much out of this ride in my opinion.

If only they fixed or replaced the annoying restraint bars, either too lose or it takes all of your strength to click it in that one more to make the ride just that much better.Regardless it's a fantastic ride and happy birthday Colossus!

This reminds of a time we was on stealth, I was on the front row and at the end of the ride when we hit the brake run there was this loud smashing noise from what sounded like behind me, next thing I know is threes the remains of a mobile phone in the space where your feet are, in about 10 different pieces. It smashed into the guys head behind me as it flew forward. So moral of the story, the rules are there for a reason, I would imagine that guys day was almost ruined because someone else decided to try and record the ride with there phone

I remember when I was looking at the website before my first visit to thorpe, I was looking at the ride list and Slammer was the one that looked proper scary to me. When we arrived at the park the entrance seemed quite hidden away and there was no queue (it was a hot, busy day), overall it was quite a disappointment. I was expecting it to be a main thrill ride, instead it just seems a side piece. Overall I agree with you guys I can't see it lasting much longer with the constant downtime and it doesn't seem very popular, which is a shame

Your print at home tickets will have barcode on them that can be scanned at the turnstiles, there just a bigger version of an actual ticket

I think at the gates that chart music is the best choice, it will get people hyped and ready. I remember when I went last year and they were booming out the chart music, it was a hot sunny day, and the sound of the rides in the background - awesome. I do agree though that in the park the ride music really adds to the effect and is worth every second
