Think the idea here is to add more of a thrill and an idea of suspense to the rides, for example sending Colossus around for a second go every 6th ride say, or a more intense Samurai cycle, well before it breaks anyway. Good idea but perhaps an operation nightmare. -
You should watch it, the PM f**ked a big, and then the story broke 4 years later about the PM really getting down with a pig, back in the uni days.

You may say this but IP's do drive traffic towards the park, the standard of execution of the IP however may not be up to par.

Could it not be argued that this a good movie for the park, becoming more of a TV / Shows themed attractions park.

Dubai is a lease operated by Merlin = Making money. Japan is improving folds year on year, just had a slow start, with the Olympics this year, I'm sure it will continue to improve. Meanwhile Thorpe still makes profit for Merlin, but just isn't the priority as of now, maybe the new owners will see a different incentive that lies within Thorpe. It will all just take time.

Perhaps it's just currently not profitable for Merlin to invest in Thorpe, in comparison to the new markets of Legoland resorts in Asia.

Alton Towers finally starting to stand up to the resort status. I also love how people will say OctoberFest will fail, as people need to drive to AT. With over 500, ballpark figure don't quote me, rooms people who stay over may want something to do in the evenings. With late night riding this is an excellent way to extend the attendance in the generally quiet month of September. In my opinion a cheaper to run scare fest, whilst extending the popularity of the Halloween event period, just with the offering of beer and lederhosen rather than scares. This is a clear moneymaker, so go to AT and have a few bevvy's this September.

Personally I don't think pestering Thorpe park with private messages is the best way to try and get them to reveal their secretes.
I thought storm Dennis wasn't allowed into Europe post brexit.

Looks good. I really like how passionate John is about his job. Also loving the easter eggs. Only concerns from me are the look of lack of legroom and the ride vehicle itself, the manufacturer isn't speaking like its been smooth sailing.
In a recent talk with Merlin's CFO, she said that even the Wickerman at Alton Towers hadn't succeeded financially. Yes families go and enjoy the ride, but its still seen as a one and done. Remember the enthusiast market is still very much a niche, and so would the millions spent on an RMC payoff? Probably not, hence the need for a hotel and secondary attraction first to make it a resort. Investments at the end of the day are a risk, just like Derren Brown.
Just remember that the dollar used to be 2 to the pound.
