Looks good. I really like how passionate John is about his job. Also loving the easter eggs. Only concerns from me are the look of lack of legroom and the ride vehicle itself, the manufacturer isn't speaking like its been smooth sailing.

In a recent talk with Merlin's CFO, she said that even the Wickerman at Alton Towers hadn't succeeded financially. Yes families go and enjoy the ride, but its still seen as a one and done. Remember the enthusiast market is still very much a niche, and so would the millions spent on an RMC payoff? Probably not, hence the need for a hotel and secondary attraction first to make it a resort. Investments at the end of the day are a risk, just like Derren Brown.

Alton has the family market. Families = ££££££££ Thorpe has the teen + annual pass + enthusiast market = Not wanting to spend money. Alton Towers is also a household name whereas Thorpe perhaps not everyone knows the brand therefore ofc they will favour Alton

Just remember that the dollar used to be 2 to the pound.

Who is this person and why does he have so many posts.....

So whats everyone's guesses then, interested to see if you can get it from this pic?
-
I guess it will just be as a result of feedback / KPI reporting. I'm pretty sure most with a standard ticket would suggest that their main downside was not being able to repeat their favourite mazes again.

I think me and @Marc found the best way to do it when we went. Get there at opening, did all attractions / shows and then buy a £5 fast track for the Hayride which looked to have a 60min+ wait, the others all took 20mins max. With a capacity of 6000, queues move at a respectable speed to get everything done in one night with time to spare to soak up the atmosphere.

Hearing rumors that Thorpe have changed the beyond vertical drop on Saw into a Spiral turn to promote the new Saw film Spiral in cinemas May.

Lets hope its like the Two rivers car park. That system seems to work well.

It's good but it lacks a Nemesis Inferno.

Look at Disney, everything is done through an app. Apps are the future of themeparks from ordering food to park maps.

When are they bringing out the vapes?

Not really a fan of this. I think the small cubes to sell would be fine, however selling bottles of the stuff, who's to say these specifically made scents don't end up at other attractions. Seems like a quick cash grab.

Overlooking London, this will hit Merlin hard too.

£8 for a beer at the o2 is extortionate but I still pay it. Just find it strange that this is a Thorpe park fan forum but all everyone seems to do nowadays is moan.
-
However you also had a 20% MAP discount....... £9.60 fair for a themepark in line with stadium /event pricing. Next thing you know people will be demanding a Tesco on park for their £3 meal deals.

For those unaware of the reference: Wikipedia: Chiapas is a southern Mexican state bordering Guatemala. Its mountainous highlands and dense rainforest are dotted with Mayan archaeological sites and Spanish colonial towns.

But thats not the agenda of the average money saving map holder is it? What are you having for lunch? Hot dogs in flasks.
