  1. The slogan of 'The Obstacle Course that BITES back' makes even more sense now too

Thorpe have just confirmed on Twitter that Rush will be closed for the rest of the season for maintainance, quite disappointing really, was hoping to get some rides in over FN.
  3. @Martin.C I also visited today and couldn't agree more with all your comments. Rode twice today and it a far superior experience when I rode during technical rehearsals. They really need to sort the waiting in the smoke, it completely kills the pace, everyone just gets confused and ruins the end of the ride. And there's no excuse for not playing the music outside, without it the atmosphere is just dull.
  4. Definitely agree with you TPSou. First section of VR is far superior the the second half. Seeing as one of the selling points is 'questioning your perception of reality', it's extremely obvious what is virtual as I believe there is too much reliance on the headsets. As for the initial VR, it seems that the actors are the only difference. I spoke to a lot of people and there doesn't seem to be anything else. Hoping there's some other options that they'll only start using once it's fully open.
  5. Managed to ride it 3 times today. Absolutely incredible, Thorpe have done themselves proud. Looking forward to seeing the thing fully opened and what changes they'll have made! They need to sort out the baggage zone though, it was chaos.
  6. Gutted. Really hoping they open it up later for more technical rehearsals.

  8. Ahhh I thought it had to be 7:30 in the morning, thanks
  9. Got the last clue, just need to be able to wake up early enough now so I can get the very first clue! Looking forward to riding and see what we've got in store and how well executed this will be. If done right, it'll be the dark ride we've all been waiting for. If not, it'll be a massive flop, I'm holding out hope for a cracking attraction!
  10. Definitely looking like it could be a train station. Sticking with my original thoughts, I'm still thinking the ride could potentially be called Mind Gap.
  11. Thorpe just tweeted this alongside: QUESTION YOUR REALITY Monday. 9AM. #MINDSWANTED http://www.mindswanted.co.uk Possibility of some more information?!
  12. The building itself is not large enough to fit a ride system like that, those arms are massive and taller than you think when you include their base size; as amazing as it would be to have an Oceaneering ride here in the UK though

  14. It’s almost definitely going to have a train theme, that’s for sure. There’s clues all over the website: The image of the 5 people; represent a railway line ‘Derail’ your mind ‘Mind Gap’, referring to a station announcement “mind the gap between the train and platform edge” I’m also thinking that ‘Mind Gap’ could quite potentially be the name of the attraction also. Ride system is more than likely going to be a 4D tram-style attraction or perhaps something similar to the Hogwarts Express at Universal, minus the moving train of course.

  18. Went on Zufari the other week; I was not impressed. The weather was beautiful and the number of animals was minimal. Here's a POV I filmed: The overall attractions just felt to be lacking, here's some potential improvements: -shelter the queue! In the blazing sun it's really hard to find shade -remove the Picsolve booth, I'm pretty sure less than 10% of people actually buy the photo, especially as nearly half the people in my group had their eyes shut on the photo! -do something about the pre-show and loading area! The design is dreadful! People cutting in after exiting the pre-show building and everyone was crammed up with the two previous groups who had still not boarded a vehicle yet -Please do something, anything to the warehouse, sorry, cave at the end. It does not add to the ride experience at all, especially as the voice in the vehicle cannot be heard above the noise of the motor Overall, it was Zufari: Ride into Disappointment for me. Hopefully Chessington will be seeking ways to improve the ride!
