Storm Surge
I queued 5 mins yesterday, but we did get there for 09:45

Summer Nights
Well Tidal is very popular in this weather, so that is an added bonus.

1st time visiting on Sunday - any tips?
Storm Surge dead? wasn't when I went on it yesterday

Logger's Leap
Staff were very friendly and chatty yesterday when I was on there. In fact all Thorpe staff were happy and chatty. Must be the sun shine.

The Smiler
I went on the Smiler twice today, first time, the queue moved very slowly, the second time the queue moved at twice the speed. What was different? It was after hours and there was no Fast Track in operation, so this easily shows what a negative impact Fast Track has on the normal queue. Anyway for all of those who like the way Saw throws you around will be happy to know The Smiler is now doing this on loop 11? ( I think) it is just as powerful as Saw's first drop.

Logger's Leap
I have said this before and I will say it again, many people don't know where Loggers leap is. Today I got asked by many people where exactly it is as if you are at Saw or Colossus, there is no signs, you can't see the ride, The answer is a very simple one, but a huge sign on the side of the station building. As for the future, it all depends on what Thorpe have planned, most people will agree they wouldn't loose any sleep if the Rocky Express went, but we never know, Thorpe may have plans for CCR to return at some point and if it does then the current theme works very well, is CCR is never to return and they get rid of Rocky, then there is a lot of land they can build on and it would be easy to have a Th13teen sized ride in that area. Or a Spinner *cough* spinball *cough*

Vortex
Does anyone know why Vortex is currently in the sick bay? It looks like they were working on it all day running cables or something.

Summer Nights
Ryan, can I let you keep my niece for the 3 hours as all she wants to do at the moment is ride X! This is excellent news, TBH you shouldn't need to pay to get in, but most people will be happy to pay £5 than £16.

X
Took the kids on there today (4 times in total) and I have to say since my first ride earlier in the year things have improved a lot. 1 Negative was lack of smoke On the positive side the queue has improved: with the blue X now flashing works We have music down most of the corridor More trains makes the queue go much faster than the two earlier in the year Removal of the brake runs does indeed make it better Turning up the music makes you feel like your going into a nightclub, its great as you hear the music in the queue and in the station, but now as you start to go up the lift hill the music gets louder and louder The lights seem to have a different sequence as it is not as bright in there This is never going to keep the thrill seekers happy, but for me Thorpe seem to have turned this one around (excuse the pun), so for families this does work, the kids loved it "It is like going to a disco" hence 4 rides today and I quote "X is now my favourite ride, it was The Flying Fish" well the kids can't be wrong.

SAW: The Ride
What they need to do is put a refill station in there, as getting your drinks refilled is a nightmare as most places refuse to fill your drinks up.
-
SAW: The Ride
I don't like it at all and also at The Swarm. If anything it makes me feel cramped in, I refuse to go into the shop and walk round, but nearly every guest who see's this thinks "Why the hell is this blocked off, it's a stupid idea"

Summer Nights
TBH I can't really see people heading for X or the Fish, most people will want The Swarm, Inferno, Saw or Stealth
-
Summer Nights
The problem is people don't seem to care how much these things cost, Merlin keep upping the price of everything and people still pay it...
- X

Slammer
So what has been more reliable this year, Slammer or Samurai....
-
Summer Nights
I have already paid for my Annual pass, so I now have to pay Extra for Fright Nights, Extra for Summer Nights.... any other hidden charges..... *cough* car park *cough* Great idea, but spoilt by charging. £16 for 3 hours is a bit much. If you plan your day, you can easily get 2X Stealth, 1 X nemesis, 1 X Saw and Colossus all in the first 30 minutes of the day by turning up when the park opens. I am all for late opening, but at any extra cost to pass holders is a little bit hard to swallow.

Crash Pad Extension
For such a dramatic change and scale-up, Thorpe must see some value with the Crash Pad. As for the 2015/2016/2017 coaster, this is very disappointing news for all people, this could be a big reason for people not to renew annual passes or visit as there is nothing new. ON the bright side there are lots of locations for flat rides, which have been marked in the MTDP and this doesn't mean that we don't get a family coaster or an indoor dark ride or something.

Scorpion Express
It is not perfect, but I've been 7 times this year and had a good time on all visits. I think we just have to get over the fact they are doing the work and accept it for what it is. Things will and are improving. When I went to Chessington as a child, the park was completely different to what it is now. I remember the Vampire, Bubbleworks opening and it was amazing. If anything they have significantly improved the Zoo, Zufari is right for their target audience. The Sealife centre could be a lot better IMO. As for rides, I don't like what they have done to Dragon falls and RMT, but most people who go there still enjoy what rides they do go on. The main problem I have is that they are doing up the RMT during the open season and not doing Dragon falls for a long time. It is a shame RR had the problem a few weeks ago. I still plan to go back several times this year and I realisticly expect RMT to be re-opened in 2014.

Rameses Revenge
As soon as they were interviewed on Sky News, their surname says it all Cashin or Ca$h-in, looks like they are trying to milk it for everything they can get.... I would have been happy with some Fast Tracks.

2013 Changes
The bag searches don't bother me at all, if they want to search, they have nothing to find. Only people who have things to hide should be worried. The only thing is the delay if your on a mission to be the first on a ride.

Stealth
Stealth is a complex machine, it may not look like any work is being done on the track side, but there could be working taking place inside the motor room which is at the opposite end to the station...

Park Operations
Good news, it is good to see Thorpe / Merlin giving guests lots of options for annual passes, once you announce this on Facebook, I can see the park being very busy.
- The Swarm
-
Summer Nights
Well any charge would mean non attendance from me.
-
Summer Nights
Will The Flying Fish be included in this too? Would pass holders have to pay an event fee or get in free would be the question many people may be wondering.
