  1. It's 2D. Lead vocalist/keyboard player of Gorillaz. Keep up with the times, boy!
  2. 1/10. I'd rather money was spent on heavy theming than a huge unthemed rollercoaster tbh.
  3. I'll do Face It Alone this year if it's on a Saturday.
  4. ...or phase through the barrier if the laws of physics were that crazy.
  5. I know who you mean. Reminds me of Tim Curry tbh. Maybe it's him?
  6. Agree with you there. It's only a finale if you're there longer than a few seconds...but I personally wouldn't call sitting in front of a snake, constantly twisting from side to side and hissing for half a minute a finale. The least they can do is at least add more dramatic effects to go with that, such as dynamic lighting and smoke effects maybe? It has to be as if you're actually battling this huge snake.
  7. Cheers everyone who attended for another brilliant meet! Was great seeing everyone again, mostly because I haven't really been able to attend many meets this year.
  8. Whatever the IP is it needs to be something to fit in with the idea of Transylvania being a peaceful European village. Bubbleworks fitted in perfectly back in the day as it was a wacky fizzy pop factory.
  9. I'm gutted, shocked and sickened at the same time to hear of this. As someone who at least rode the original ride once in 2003, I can definitely say I'm not going to see Bubbleworks go without shedding a tear... But even so, it still sounds promising how not only it's receiving a complete retheme but also how the ride system could possibly be remaining. Really disappointed though that once again we have to put up with an IP for the theme. Professor Burp's Bubbleworks as we know was a completely original theme and that only provided a little bit of the magic poured into the whole ride. And Benin couldn't be more correct when saying all the magic the ride had died in 2005. Not to mention it was the main (and only) evidence that Transylvania wasn't all dark and scary - it was a quaint European village with a bright atmosphere, leaving the darkness lying behind the archway leading to Vampire. Saying that, I've got a horrible feeling the IP will be something using the darker approach Vampire has, ultimately causing Transylvania to be recognised as a village of fear. Chessington have clearly but potentially hinted this with the Burger Kitchen using this theme. But then again, this has only just been announced. For now I am having complete trust in Chessington for they have promised us a new ride filled with the amount of magic and happiness the original ride boasted. All we can do now is speculate... RIP Bubbleworks: 1990-2016
  10. Seems to have a crippling obsession with Star Wars
  11. Fellow mortals. If you are reading this, it means I have literally just returned from a preposterous trek within the vicinity of the most dangerous place on Earth...Skull Island. ...but of course for the most technically-minded (and gullible) of readers, this is only my report from my recent trip to Orlando. No sooner than I arrived had I had an unexpected encounter with a mysterious creature. One of Skull Island's deadly inhabitants? Anyway, the call to adventure was nigh. But in order to get to Skull Island I had other adventures to attend to... ...such as requesting some backup at Skull Island from a childhood superhero (but in all seriousness, The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman is quite spectacular). ...until finally...I FOUND IT! I knew I had struck gold and now it BECKONED me! ...Kong himself in particular No other soul had DARED venture into this unforgiving realm...hence this very conveniently placed sign. In case you haven't already guessed, Skull Island is HUGE! Almost as huge as this rather innocent looking castle next door. I heard Kong can fight a pack of dinosaurs. Does this include dragons??? Anyway, to cap this all off, here's my review on Skull Island: Reign of Kong ...This gets a 9/10 from me. Spectacular ride experience, incredible amounts of detail along with a pretty decent queueing experience. Definitely worth the queue time. But that's not all! I leave you with my total ride count. Islands of Adventure: The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman: x5 Dr Doom's Fear Fall: x2 Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls: x1 Jurassic Park River Adventure: x3 Forbidden Journey: x4 Flight of the Hippogriff: x1 Dragon Challenge: x2 (Chinese Fireball: x1, Hungarian Horntail: x1) Hogwarts Express: x1 Poseidon's Fury: x1 Skull Island: Reign of Kong: x2 Universal Studios: Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit: x2 Revenge of The Mummy: x2 Transformers: The Ride: x2 The Simpsons Ride: x2 Men in Black: Alien Attack: x1 Escape from Gringotts: x2
  12. Uses upper case way too often. No hard feelings - this was also me in my early days on this site. What a hypocrite.
  13. Is a raging alcoholic by day...and a raging alcoholic by night.
  14. Appreciates Vampire a little too much for my liking...
  15. Oddly enough I was at Islands of Adventure today and it's impossible to tell at the mo if any work is being done on Hulk, unless of course the focus is inside the building. Also Kong was closed today, although the technical rehearsal notice was still outside the entrance. Other than that I had a great day. Felt great as always riding Spiderman and let's just say nothing survived Ripsaw Falls in terms of dryness. Speaking of Ripsaw Falls actually the throughput was absolutely dreadful. The queue was advertised as 60 minutes and it was just an absolute joke moving a few metres through the queue every 10 minutes...
  16. Why in God's name would you say Nemesis Sub-Terra rather than Nemesis?? Let alone Inferno! Appalled </3
  17. Are you a qualified advertiser or something??
  18. This was just taken from Chessington's video of the ride...hence the screaming and sounds of the ride in the background.
  19. 10/10. Dedicated game player *ba-dum-tss*
