Oh yess! And then then when I got older, me and my brother would stand there and try and make the witch laugh, and we did a good job of it! Once on a day it was dead we were just in there having a conversation with her about her job! Taking it you used to see Santa at Christmas as well

That's great! I know it's quite hard to tell but what was the Speed like on them, compared to Tuk tuk?
-
Well if they had a period of no testing, and now they are doing the same sort of tests again, they probably had a problem and had to fit another part. Can't wait until it opens again :D Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk

Shark hotel update, starting to look quite good now in my opinion. This photo is from the company that are making this shark. You can see there Instagram below Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk

Wooo! That's good news! Hopefully after a lot of testing, we will see Slammer open again! To be honest, after the testing every day stopping and no work continuing on Slammer, I thought that they had given up with her.

How they didn't spot this does worry me hahaa

I've probably seen you at one point then haha, I live about 10 minutes from Drusillas and pretty much went there every weekend from the age of 4! I loved this place as a child. Glad to see they are finally using up that area seeing as when I went there, there was nothing but a little bouncy castle for that whole area.

Photo update - (Photo from TPG facebook) Looks like the roofs structure is complete or is almost complete. (Photo from TPG facebook) I believe that's one of the HB leisure games they're adding themeing to.

Taking it Detonator is now closed?

I don't think operators have any control on the cycle of Vortex at all, seeing as a current operator at Thorpe Park either posted on here, or in the chat that on Vortex they just click one button and the computer does the rest
-
Thorpe would never get one of these, not just because it's similar to Vortex but the throughput would be diabolical. There's only 20 seats and that ride cycle is 4 mins, and a shorter one wouldn't be that good on that sort of ride. Looks like a great ride though

Really really good to hear, I did think that they might as well carry on trying to get it going, seeing how much they've spent on it in recent years. Another problem must of came up though, seeing as it was being tested daily and then it just suddenly stopped. Maybe they are waiting for another part, and this takes a long time as they get 'specially made'.
-
It probably does the same amount of swings each time, but then the more lower swings there are, the shorter the cycle will be I guess.

Banned for always getting stuck on Detty

The only flying coaster I've ever ridden is Air, and I find that quite slow and boring if I'm honest, but that look's great!

I had a great couple of rides last month, no juddering and go up and above 90 degrees very quickly, it was also a longer cycle Saw a video about a week ago it looked like it was getting bad again, so it's good to hear it's still running well About the ride experience not being the same every time, I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that it depends how much the operator spins it at the beginning, before they make it start actually spinning. While I was in the que, the operator was making it spin for a lot longer before it started spinning, and it looked like it was spinning pretty quick. Once I rode it, the operator had changed and he pretty much made it start swinging straight away, and we were at the top every time? Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk

I'm hoping that they scrap the You're next, it was just people with masks on walking around really. Found the roaming actors in previous years a lot better. I personally think that the asylum will go, mainly because of the issues with it last year and I think they will get another lions-gate themed maze. The scare zone was dreadful in my opinion, so hopefully some improvements to that will be made. About my bloody valentine being pitch black, I only found that some parts of the maze was pitch black. I liked that though, especially when you're at the front because it's hard to find your way around it. You also have no idea who or what is around you, which makes it good in my opinion. I know it isn't going to happen, but I really hope that fast tracks for mazes will be limited a lot more. On my bloody valentine a ridiculous amount of Fast track was let in compared to the amount in the normal que, and the normal que was 90mins. I really liked Cabin in the woods, but on my first time going on it I found it really confusing at the beginning. You have to like que again for like 10 mins once you are already in the maze and other people around me was also confused. Also, on the second time I went on it they were letting far to many people in at once. When we went in there was like already 10 people in the first room, which spoiled it really. I really liked the announcements/theme music on all of the rides, I liked it how it was the same on all of the rides and I hope they stick to the same ones this year. Talking of theme music I wish that all of the mazes theme music is played a lot louder, much like the asylums. There is such a good atmosphere created in the asylum que line and wish this could happen in all the other ques.

How do you have them then? Were they around in the past or have you worked for merlin?
-
I agree, bearing in mind fairs can wack them up over night. To be fair, they have only just started constructing it, hence why they have also blocked off the walkway between Tidal Wave and Stealth.
-
Bumper cars construction update - (Photo from TPG facebook) You can sort of see where the que is going to be now, going round the back of the dodgems. I can't really tell from the picture but it looks like an extension que going out towards the left? Can imagine this getting very big ques throughout the day, especially with the amount of fast track they will probably let through. Can't wait to see what it will look like when it's done though!

What fair is this? Sounds awesome!

I don't know which ones you have but there are 3 here - http://archive.imbenjam.in/musicofmerlin/media/thorpe/amitycove/tidalwave/wwtp/

I'm not saying your wrong, because I agree they should have a banner or a page on their website with more about availability on rides etc... but if the park is dead, and it says at their entrance and across the park that the ride will close at that time I don't really see the problem with it because people will then ride it before 3 O clock.
-
Surprised that even though they've just made a new website they still haven't got a system to show which rides are and aren't available at that time. Hopefully we will see something like this soon, and maybe que times seeing as both Alton Towers and Chessington have them.
-
I don't see the problem with it really as long as they warned everyone it was going to shut, it was dead and was only closed for 2 hours.
