The train wobbles so much I sometimes think it may fall off the track! I'm sure a re-route is highly unlikely, as it would be very costly, time-consuming, and probably subject to planning acceptance. But if it did ever did happen, an idea would be to build a second station near the park entrance near Fury, therefore the ride would cover another area of the park.

I wish people would stop believing that Loggers' tunnel has gone for good!
-
I see Webb groundworks are still on park working directly behind Runaway Mine Train. Unsure as to what they're doing, though.
-
Falls has opened earlier than originally said then. As for Runaway, what are they actually replacing? I can't see anything missing, any progressing work at all!

I've listened to 2 editions of the 10pm to midnight show on Radio 1 this week. I'm really getting into this. Phil and Alice are fantastically entertaining, the banter is great, and they come up with some quality tunes! I used to think "get off the air" when I heard Phil fill in on a Sunday morning slot sometimes, but now I regret that!

Me? Never.

I'm so taunted by the face they're making Finding Dory!

^ Agreed. This is too fairground-orientated. It would suit somewhere like Adventure Island @ Southend much better! No, definitely not. In some ways, I think in light of reading this, I now actually want a topspin at Thorpe Park! Don't forget that Thorpe removed a a very similar ride, Calgary Stampede, in late 2003 to make way for Samurai. This idea is a step backwards.

Well excuse me for not having common enthusiast knowledge! When it comes to foreign parks, I'm a little rusty, and I've not really had a chance to try other theme parks in the world!

Nothing on YouTube. Some interesting ideas there. I like the oriental garden queueline, that does need to be made more interesting. Now theming the station around a giant temple or pagoda, I thought it already was? If it's not, what is it now because I can't think of any other way to describe it! Rocks on lift hill...meh. Nooo way! People know what I think of that idea, but as for entering a dragon mouth at the top of the second lift hill, I really cannot understand the logic behind this. A good idea to a certain degree, but why would I want to go in a building, only to emerge from the other end to the drop immediately outside?! Remember this is a family ride which youngsters ride too, so too much indoor interaction and too many dragons may frighten them! Your idea of a dragon mouth at the top of the second lift hill leads me to my next point - too many dragons. Considering that we already have an excellently themed one after the first little lift and drop, too many dragons could ruin this ride. If you were a designer your idea of a dragon mouth at the top of the second lift hill could be overlooked, refused by them, and don't forget that planning permission would be needed by the park, which they may be refused by the council. If it was accepted and constructed, the idea of demolishing the current dragon tunnel could be put forward, and I know which dragon I'd rather have. A couple of years ago, they banners put up around the top of the ride - a rather piss-poor attempt by the park which makes the top section look tacky. It was only to stop people looking to the left and noting stored stuff on the ground below, especially this sign which was removed from the entrance many years ago, and stored alongside many other bits and pieces not required! No doubt this Juicy Pop Drop sponsor will stay, I'm sure Chessington need all the sponsorship they can get to modify this ride! This is all happening at a time when, down the road at Thorpe, rides such as Loggers Leap and Rumba Rapids are crying out for some TLC. Yes, they're all old, and the Bayon faces may have been falling apart, but the one thing Merlin have overlooked is the fact that Loggers and Rumba as a whole need some work doing to them, rather than Falls which, for what I can see, is undergoing not very many changes!

Which rides are they then, and where? Yes, you're right to an extent, but there are rides which have got the public talking. Stealth, with it's height and speed. Th13teen, with it's in-the-dark drop. Saw, with it's theme and drop. I've seen it all before, kids and adults acting like 16 year-olds discovering Facebook. Think of it this way, if they don't get them talking, then why does this topic go through umpteen pages of speculation a month? We're all at it, guilty, and in the minority. Today I recieved a reminder in the post, reminding me to renew my pass. It mentions about The Smiler opening in summer 2013. Now May is still spring, as summer starts on 21st June. This may give reason as to why they have yet so far to go until completion!

Today I recieved a reminder in the post, reminding me to renew my pass. Keep up Merlin, I did it not long ago! A couple of interesting points I would like to raise; Firstly, I see Merlin Business Support is registered at Silverglade Business Park, Leatherhead Road, Chessington, KT9 2QL. It's the small business park near the BP garage, and I've always known Tussauds and Merlin occupied premises there, but what exactly does the Business Support do? Merlin's main office is in Poole, has anyone Google Street View'd their office? Tiny place! Secondly, and this is something I will also post in The Smiler topic, it mentions about The Smiler opening in summer 2013. Now May is still spring, as summer starts on 21st June. This may give reason as to why they have yet so far to go until completion!

Are you talking about the queue loop or loading music, or both? This is interesting though, as Slammer's raising music is quite a well-known or famous tune. And it seems there is a lot of swapping about tunes over the parks, something that gets up my nose (Depth Charge with Flume music, Carousel with old Towers Street music, to name a couple of examples).

Peaj, I never realised you were those sizes! I hope you manage to achieve losing some weight. Always remember quality over quantity. I'm sure you're a quality guy, you seem like it. I'll guess I'll find out when I attend my first meet. As for the food...well I've never been one to constantly live off junk food, but the past 6 months or-so of my life have involved eating more junk food than I've ever had before. Burgers especially, I've never had so many in a 10-day period! It's something I can control and will cut out, despite my goal to only have about 2 burgers a month at the very maximum. I've also eaten more kebabs than I would've liked to since last summer, and my new year goal was to cut down on them. It's working...gradually. Eating like that hasn't affected my weight or any other stats at all though. Since mid-2009 I've been hovering between 9 and 91/2 stone, a weight that is alarmingly below the average for a guy of my age, and a weight that I'm not really happy with. I've been heavier in my life, upto about 10 stone, and the only reason I can think I've slipped so low is due to the amount of walking I do generally. Since mid-2009 the amount of walking I do has stayed the same, and I've maintained a balanced diet, so it's no wonder I've stayed the same weight. I drink every so often, not every night or weekend, and the lack of drink hasn't helped me either to put the pounds back on. I should really get on the beers more often! Around 2005 I did go to the gym to exercise and keep fit - that lasted about a year. But in some ways, that's the last thing I want to do, because I'll be heading in the opposite direction that I want to be!

Worse than that, I've heard it's claimed a few lives!

This should be renamed "Dreams about theme parks"

Instagaram'd?

The Finale lights have been like that since the beginning of the last season!
-
Yeah, I can see that happening. Can you imagine the uproar from families, especially as it's a family theme park? That's what I heard. My mate got one from there, and when we went to Thorpe Park the other week he drove us, and tried to scan his pass at the car park barrier on the way out, and it was having none of it! Now, considering I only renewed mine days ago, it would be interesting to see if mine scans the next time I go.
-
Well surpisingly, no! With it's winch house, cable, and catch-car system, I thought that after a rollback it would take longer to reset Stealth. Usually more technical rides = more technical resetting. Obviously not the case here. But I'm sure it used to take longer to reset back in it's early days compared to now.
-
Haven't you heard, James? The offloading process is upside down. They expect you to jump out of the seat once the restraint is released. And they don't provide mattresses for a soft landing.

As a regular theme park visitor for 9 years now, I've had many dreams. Usually nothing adds up and the layout is always different Anyone else had a crazy or normal dream about a park or ride or attraction?
-
You're the person in the car behind, blasting his horn! Well I've renewed mine at Chessington, and I hope there's no endless problems this year. I hope it's OK when I go to to Alton Towers too. Surely the designs on the passes can't differ from each park? I've noticed the design has been modified this year.
