  1. They look like they may just be supporting the roof. To stop pillars going through the middle of the ride. Leaves the room nice and open.
  2. Well my pass has run out and I have no intention of returning. Good bye reserve and ride. I don't have to worry about you ruining my day again.
  3. The name valravn is a bird that dives vertically for its prey. Hence the odd name. The ride looks great in my opinion. Has all the things I think a dive coaster should have. May have to arrange a return visit to the point.
  4. Not just priority passes are given out. For you non annual pass holders they give out come back for £x each vouchers with priority passes bolted on the side. Opening at 9:30 is just not do-able. Aim for 10. Very few people will miss the 30 minutes of everything closed. RnR is causing horrific estimates on queue times again, as always. Another problem that should have been fixed in its 3 year trial. Most of the effects are broken all year round. I haven't seen the water splash by the fire engine for ages. I don't expect them to be fixed anytime soon either. Too busy spending time and money on samurai.
  5. Supposedly the layout has been leaked and someone has made a version of it in no limits 2.
  6. That answers that argument from before, I guess the blue circle was an eye.
  7. Nice to see all the problems RnR had at the start have since been resolved, oh wait. Same old problems same old view point on it.
  8. Whilst on the plans it looks like 5 entrances there is only 3 if you follow the dotted lines. There is a more detailed plan of the queue line somewhere which named each one.
  9. The one at 1:05 I have seen in use multiple times. The others I have only ever seen once a long while ago and I was starting to question myself on if I just made it up when I was younger.
  10. People don't like sitting next to other people so often you end up with a few sets of 4 with only 3 people or sometimes even a selfish 2 sit in the middle creating 2 empty seats. However they shouldn't add a single rider queue. I'm certain 98% of the time it slows down loading. Very few exceptions like samurai where it works.
  11. Vortex always ends up with lots of single rider spaces.
  12. Nick Varney said in a q&a that paramount park had design issues such as too many hotel rooms. I'll try and find it for you. I think it was nemesis @20
  13. Hotel space is fine. Just not when they knock upcoming projects on lager amounts of hotel space when they themselves add more and more. The fact it costs a fortune and I would prefer the money be spent on the park so it actually has some flat rides.
  14. More money grabbing hotel space. They have a go at paramount park for vast amounts of hotel rooms and ever since they have just been ramming in more and more places to stay every year. Nice to see some investment I guess.
  15. So cedar point are going to announce Vulravn their brown/grey dive coaster with blue supports on the 18/08/15. Pictures of the track have already appeared and the name was registered a while back. It would seem the leak a while ago was correct. (Can't link the pictures due to being on mobile)
  16. The frame could go up in just a few days if they are speedy. It doesn't take long for a simple steel structure like this should be.
  17. Unique flat rides are not really a thing that exists unless it's a dismal failure like the skyswat. Flat rides are not meant to be world firsts. The best flat rides are the refined models not the brand new ones. Swap out samurai for a flat ride and the park is fine. They kept slammer working so they will get a good few years out of the rest of them. Samurai however has no reason to be kept and lots of reasons to be removed. Its time has come to be removed. However weather it will be removed is a completely different question.
  18. Well the developers changed again since that trailer. So this game has had 3 developers so far. However this bunch seems to want to stay. I have very low expectations for this game.
  19. Presumably they take them off so they can carry out sufficient maintenance on them so that the engineers only have 1 train to do at 10 rather than 2. Also the fact 2 trains often needs more staff so to save on staff 1 train is used.
  20. If it is a coaster of some kind I expect footers and track before the building is done so we will find out some details at some point. There is no notable footer locations on the current concrete then again they could just be added later despite it being non conventional.
  21. You can use it to compare to itself of which both have a downwards trend. While the parks are normally quite at the beginning of summer they are never this quite. I went to Thorpe on Sunday and longest queue I waited in was one cycle on slammer and that was because the airgates were closed. There was no one at all. The weather was a factor but it still should have had more people. 30-40 minute queues is what they should be getting but instead it's 15-30 minutes. It's the same story at Alton. Attendance is down significantly and while I expect it to pick up it won't hit the normal summer levels.
  22. Didn't think they had that much space or money. Will be interesting to see what it is considering they are advertising 2017 already.
  23. It's a common complaint about Europa. All my friends who went in the summer said that the queues were very long.
  24. Apart from samurai closed and tidal wave for a few hours everything was going good once it opened. Stealth, vortex and nemesis inferno opened late but apart from that it was all good. 2 trains on everything even though it probably was not needed. Time to replace samurai I think would be my only negative/suggestion to improve the day. Otherwise jolly good show.
