  1. Fascinating, I never knew that the 446 bus could take you to thorpe park. I always nag my wife for caramel hob nobs but we're trying to save for the new merlin pass so we can play unlimited extra-ordinary golf. Lovely t-shirt, DMT is a personal favourite of mine. Stay safe!

    Lots of love,

  2. Superman was extremely disappointing. Fantastic first drop, but thereafter it's an intamin big one, down to the colours..

Wicked Cyclone however, vomits, poops, pisses and ****s all over everything I've ridden. Extremely intense, amazing fun, unique and a decent length, this ride is utterly incredible. The rush on my legs lasted for about 4 hours after I got off. If all RMCs are like this, they are surely winners and the UK needs one desperately.

The joker 4D thingy looked even worse in person but was honestly really good fun. The rest of the park was very mundane and bland, but the good operations meant rerides were easily available, including 4 turns on back row wicked cyclone. Honestly so so fun.

  3. Really into my little gem, Mothica recently, who makes like indie EDM, which is really chilled, slow, and has a good mix of sounds. But really recently Ive got thirsty for really oldschool dubstep for whatever reason. Something really humbling though, finding out one of the old school leaders of the genre lived down the road from me, and started the whole scene in a shop on one of my local highstreets.

  4. Unrealistic how? The movies have always been gloriously over the top, this one just looks better combed for me. From the trailer anyway, it looks less... cultlike? More hollywood-y, like insidious 3 was for that series.

The traps look very samey which I think is a shame. Three different pulley traps which are basically the same just in different locations? I hope there's a reason for that. The sand trap looks sick though.

  5. Have people forgotten how massively towers can alter the layouts of rides from the MTDP to when it's being genuinely constructed? Like seriously, we were literally trolled by the smiler. Have you forgotten that all? Heights, banking, and even some elements can all be altered when being constructed. Whilst the concept does look lack luster there are already signs on the construction site that elements will be different to what we previously could expect..

  6. THIS. COMMENT. MAKES. ME. HAPPY.

It's so true, Th13teen is one of the most complete ride experiences there are in the UK, which takes advantage of the technology we have now to make the ride different. I love it so much <3

  7. That temple better have that rockwork continued up to it.. It's so close to looking cool but it looks hideous on a set of scaffolding. As well as that, the medusa effect still looks quite poor, and the room itself looks rather bare for now, and, the train housing just looks a bit.. suckish? I hope improvements continued to be made to this ride because it looks like great fun, but it's missing finishing touches in a fair few places

  8. They aren't legally allowed to make a new water ride on the loggers site without containing the lake and making it a controlled water source (new EU laws say that bodies of water such as thorpe's lakes can no longer be used for water rides). a redo of the current ride wouldn't be too far fetched, with dragon falls having received one within the last 5 years or so.. I'm just surprised they haven't got on with it yet considering that was completed over 1 off season. They've left the ride far too long for what I'd imagine a full refurbishments cost would be and I think it'd be much smarter to just go with a new ride.

  9. Can I echo the last 2 comments.

Visited today, and will openly admit Tripsdrill is up there as one of the most charming parks I've visited. So down to earth, relaxed, and fun, it's perfect.

    Very german.

Karacho is fab. Very forceful, very intense, very fun! the lapbars are awesome.

Mammut is the smoothest, most quiet woodie I've ridden.

The bob thing is so intense, and very fun as well.

They have a new sky fly, it's not quite as fun as Blackpool's and the planes are a fair bit heavier but oh man these rides are so fun and it's a fantastic addition to the park.

Karacho burger's are so damn good, I'd go as far to say the best 'fast' food I've had at a theme park. The burgers are prepared in front of you in a gourmet style, very quickly and very cheaply, and taste great. Sort of food quality you'd expect from a hotel restaurant for a 3rd of the price, and prepared efficiently. Please insert every park in the world here take a page out of Tripsdrill's book.

So green, so airy, so spacious and so quiet. The park is such a perfect little place, and the backdrop is so breathtaking pictures simply do not do it justice. It's a very laid back place with small park ops; no ott staffing or H&S, rides without the need for bar checks, you just go. Rides which need bar checks supply the sufficient amount of staff to execute roles needed properly. And the amount of chats I had throughout the day with staff members... So, so good. If you ever go on the caterpillar ride, say hi to Gustov (not actually his name) for me. Absolute geezer, sent us round a few extra times, running down the platform screaming at us with joy every time we went passed. I loved his enthusiasm so much, absolute hero.

If you are ever visiting Europa, Holiday Park, or Phantasia don't forget about this little gem. It's well worth the visit (and the creds!) and shows you how a family park can be ran properly. I'll probably post some pictures or a little video at some point soon just to show you how cheery this place is.

Cant wait for the rumoured Q&A video to go online where John Wardley admits he hates the layout and left the project.
