    Legoland

Can I just ask to what point to Legoland enforce the age rules? '"Our policy [is] not to permit entry to groups of adults, adult couples, or lone adults, regardless of circumstances, who are not accompanied by a child or children under the age of 16".' I have a cousin from Australia whos been looking to go since she heard of it, but she is 19. I'm 17. Will we be turned away, or are they not so much by the book? (it'll probably be just us 2)
  3. those head rests look comfy af.
  4. Exactly. I'm not going to go Oh my that tornado room was really fun! (looks up) Damn, I feel absolutely horrible now. No. Especially the general public. You talk about people with grumpy faces, you'd be surprised at how many of those were probably resting faces. the queue time is clearly seen as well, and our batcher was even calling it out every 5 minutes. Anyway, the queue was definitely worth the experience. We had at least 10 minutes in there, and you knew you were in there a while but it didnt feel like you got dragged along. So I'd much rather wait longer for this, and know my experience is longer, and I still find it fun, then wait the same for a 50 second ride.

    Slammer

Around about then. Yesterday it was making funny noises and there were engineers working on it, however none of the main cables on the towers seemed to be in place
  6. From my own experience magic passes act as a standard ticket for the day. You have to buy all the extras. Even then, you may want to check what dates it's valid, as I know for some special events, you can't use them.
  7. There was a lost city badge? (can I has pics?) There are some very eager adults out there who try and pick up as many pop badges as they can. The graph up there also shows 5 out of 7 12 year olds are tall enough to ride stealth, some even tall enough by 8 years old. I reckon this is going to be a trial. If they see people flock to fish n chips eager to get the pop badge but throw away the meal, they're gonna get more. If they have a quiet week as usual with the odd enthusiast coming in to get one, then they're probably not going to see it through. I feel very achieved with my 2008 lego pop badge, vampire logo, and 'rare' hocus pocus glow in the dark one. But at the end of the day they are just pieces of plastic that are designed for the younger merlin audience, without all the potential accidents of pin badges.
  8. I really enjoyed I'm a Celebrity, and it's something I'd happily do again. (today was my first go) I visited today with Celia Mae, Scarycoasterboy and Phill, and I couldn't help but admire the potential and presentation of the maze. To begin with, it was so long! I found it extremely lengthy, in a good way, there was alot to do compared to what I was expecting. The queue wasn't too bad. We joined at around 10 30 ish and it wasn't more then 20 minutes or so. From a design point of view, it's fantastic how much they crammed into such a small complex. The design unfolds beautifully and really maximizes the space they had to use. Our actor was very fun. She was very interactive and was a good guide and directed us around the maze very well, whilst explaining everything. The theming was terrific. From the clever use of ropes to the misty rains, from the tornado bag thingys (and in particular I loved the rock work and use of shrubs). I've seen alot of you moan that some of the walls are just painted rather then heavily decorated, and that the roof hasn't been covered. So what? It doesn't take away from your experience at all, unless you've got a broken neck and can only look up, or have a fear of walls. It was a great, interactive maze and wasn't something you just pointed and laughed at. All our trials worked as far as I'm aware (apart from a couple, seemingly un-necessary buttons, but this may be because our actor helped it flow so well) and I can completely agree with J.S217. It was just a bit of fun. I fully feel sorry for people who had a rushed or broken up experience, I seriously enjoyed this and wouldn't hesitate to visit it again if it's queue wasn't too long. But Hey. thats the same with most things.
  9. Last year I visited the park once a week from the 13th of June. I can successfully say it was most quiet 2 weeks before my school broke up (last week of June) however I saw queues that were over 80 minutes long. This was Rushes queue. As you can see most people are between 16-20. This is 11 AM. Yeah. It's likely to be less busy at weekends, but if you do go on a weekday go tuesday or thursday. Everyone goes on mondays or fridays.
  10. The lack of cheeky piri piri in your life is disturbing/ #2mainstream4u
  11. We've all had, or heard of a cheeky nando's experience. Notoriously Londoner is the cheekiest of the cheeky when it comes to cheeky nandos, but others of us too have had cheeky nandos every once in a while. I once had a cheeky nandos, I went with a couple friends and we all sat round a half chicken. I ordered it with medium cheeky piri piri sauce on it and I asked for a cheeky extra hot flag in it. As I was given the chicken it grabbed my crotch and went 'oooooh cheeky'. Good chicken. Share your cheeky nandos experiences here!!

Why did Jimmy drop his ice cream? He was hit by a bus.
  13. I guess it's different levels of management against one another's word then. odd.
  14. They very much have taken that into account. Where are your sources? I visited a forum at town hall in London 3 weeks ago and they very much expressed that the company as a whole were hit by the Olympics in the UK. They specifically said that whilst they were significantly surprised by the Olympics taking customers, so they were definitely aware of it. Everything done in that year was considered a disappointment in the UK. I talked to other business owners who attended the forum and all of them agreed that London was hit pretty hard by the Olympics. The only reason why the swarm was a disappointment was because they built something of a large significance on the wrong year, and they owned up to that. Although, unfortunately this was then continued with the fact they said it could've been better if they used an IP. But please don't talk out of your backside. Know stuff before you post stuff.

  16. I know, from my own experience, that the disability funds need to be looked at. My older brother is disabled. He NEEDS a car to do simple journeys as he's not able to walk more then 200m without practically feinting. What he doesn't need is the £200 monthly allowance that goes straight into his account. Fortunately he's on the mobility scheme, so he gets a car. However it's very distressing to hear of these poor people Ian was talking about, when families like mine are well off and still getting cash poured into their pockets. My brother bought a pair of SKIS last month with his disability allowance. He uses about £50 of it monthly for petrol. Otherwise, he's spent it all for his own benefit of leisure. He's saving up for a mac, a PS4 and a TV. Not a wheelchair, a better bed or adaptions for his car, like he should be. I completely agree that people like the situation Ian was talking about diserve benefits. Everyone should be reviewed, and reviewed properly though, because like here, benefits can be cut without making a fatal difference. Tbh I'm dusgusted by my brothers behaviour with his money when there are others out there with similar conditions just much worse off. Taking advantage of the system and all. Not cool.
  17. Got bored. Thought this was funny but don't get too offended. Seems miliband needed a quiet sit down with a double bacon cheese burger after his failure in the pre poll statistics...
  18. 95% of my sets are available at shyguysworld's CS list or CSDepot. There are 3 groups of paths I've used in this, shiggs paths, dutchers floors and mobys paths. as for them being functional, some of them are. The thinner curved ones aren't and not all the half tile ones either but other then that yes, they are functional.
  19. Some of the points you have raised LC aren't necessarily bad depending on tour perspective. The new development on the beach front could be very beneficial for Brighton. The town is already in decline and relies on its own residents internally for alot of its business but the developments the greens have done my attract a new and larger crowd for brighton.
