  1. I have rarely seen you defend any park and for the most of your posts all you do is moan and critique merlin about how they are not as good as other parks.. Then you say this? Once you go to a place like Disney, or Phantasia, or any other of these gloriously themed parks, you'll see that annual passes for merlin can have the money used spent elsewhere. Disney is the reason I have a passion for theme parks, despite the fact I had visited chessington and legoland years before. Phantasialand is probably what shaped my passion for immersive experiences over ride experiences, not thorpe park or towers. Don't get me wrong I love visiting them, but I have been truly inspired by ones found elsewhere. Single trips can literally change your life. You won't know that until you try.
  2. This looks mental. I'm surprised at the lack of inversions... Are there even any visible ones yet?

    Plopsaland

WHY ARE THE SHOES AND DOORS SO BIG THOUGH
  4. OH MY DAYS I'M DYING. You look like your taking one big dump. Damn.
  5. ngl I too pull a funny face whilst getting launched on stealth. (I'm so sorry but it had to be done)
  6. Your hand always seems to buckle whilst holding the camera James. you should get a stabilizer!! Here is what I do mostly on my youtube. I have like 5 channels now though its getting silly billy chilly hilly.
  7. Banned, whether or not you drank the milk from the ride exit shop.
  8. Most people really don't care about park open hours, so long as it's a 'reasonable' length of time. You can look yourself, when you visit the park there is always a guest asking a member of staff when the park closes and they're usually shocked when it's as late as they say. And even then, people tend to plan to leave around half 3- 4, so there isn't a constant demand for closures as a large proportion of guests leave at least an hour before close.
  9. Just confirmed that I will be visiting disney on 3 seperate occasions before christmas. Weird, seeing as I havent been there since I was 10 or something.
  10. Its probably alot cheaper to convert the genuine woodies into RMCs because they dont have the hassle of paying for supports and terrain forming, for alot fo the time its just throw away the track, maybe add a couple supports here and there and throw on some new track.
  11. Wasnt it retracked very recently aswell?
  12. I really want to come but its money dependent. Maybe please!
  13. I'd like to see something done with the indoor dark parts of winjas but I do actually think it's one of the best, if not the best spinner out there, and it definitely makes great use of its trick tracks. As a duelling coaster it doesn't work, however seperately they are 2 really fantastic rides.
  14. I have: Halloween hocus pocus 2014 vampire bubble works dragon falls 2008 doc lightning legoland scorpion express stealth hocus pocus bat I would like some of the glow in the dark lego ones, the angry birds one and the Thorpe Park my first coater one. hopefully I'll be able to pick them up on my next visits. For the most part I agree with scb in that they can be tacky and not visually pleasing, personally I much prefer pins on my lanyard, however these small collection of pop badges are exceptions to others!
  15. Because theres a disney less then 300 miles from you, with a haunted mansion!!!!!!!!!!!!111!11!!!1!?
  16. It would be interesting to see something along those lines installed, but I'd really love to see a maurer or something airtimey installed. People say they have pushed steel to its limited but I am yet to see a coaster at thorpe that has more then a handful of seconds of ejector or air time. A lap bar ride of a significant height/length would be great, beit wood or steel, I'd seriously love to see something done where you can get a good amount of funny stomach feeling on a ride. My main fear is that merlin may be too scared to let an airtime ride actually have exactly that, and rather then using a single ratchet restraint they'd use something like new texas giant where you get a lot less air time then the likes of boulder dash as you are held tightly in place rather then free to be thrown up and down as much as the ride dictates.
  17. To be fair dungeons effects were mostly fixed upon my last visit, it was good to really see them working on the log flume
  18. I've had plenty of time to reconsider my options. Obviously I'm still skeptical as we probably all our about our top 10s, but here: COASTERS: Balder Dash - Air timey woosh wow RITA - Now hush. I still love this ride and after recent visits it has resparked my passion for this common outsider. Revenge of the Mummy - Because it was fun and I remember the look on my brothers face and it was just brill and stuff. WINJAS FEAR FORCE WWOOOOOO - At the time of my last list I sort of forgot about the international parks I'd been to in Europe. But Fear force is genuinely my favourite non inverting coasters together, however seperately one side is massively better then the other (I Can't remember which though). The trick tracks always amazed me and it was a really good experience. Big thunder mountainuru - Tunnels Th13teen - No idea how this snuck up here, I've ridden it so much recently though I've only come to enjoy it and appreciate it more and more. Oblivion - until 2 weeks ago this was a coaster I'd never ridden. I'm sure its still just the whole new ride shock, but I've revisited again since and it still managed to freak me out, something quite rare these days with rides. Grand National - yaey duelling with tight corners Nemesis - Like 13 only really been able to appreciate this more recently. I'm scraping the barrel from here. I really want to visit Europa, Mirilibanda, Phantasia (again), PA and gardaland in the near future, to hopefully shuffle up this list a little.
  19. It's just very very unrelated to the subject matter and comes off a bit very oddly. Had you said thank goodness Towers, or a theme park company didn't share his opinion, it would;ve made alot more sense and may have had some impact on the conversation. PS Most rides have generators that can last for between 3-5 hours.

    Rita

If you come from the right direction you get a nice view of the park, and you can see the likes of rita, th13teen and oblivion in the trees. All these rides have elements of them painted a different colour to comply with the planning permission. Anyone know why Rita is running limited capacity at the mo? Demand was high on tuesday (60 minute queue) but they were only using 1 train for the whole day whilst other park operations where fantastic.
