Interesting. After watching the advert a couple times through, I saw people genuinely moved by it in our English class (we were studying Charlie Brooker, a Gaurdian writer at the time) and had to analyse it in a way we wouldn't necessarily side with, and if we wanted to elaborate further, blow it hugely out of proportion. (potentially, depending on your view) But, looks like the man did it himself.

    no?
  5. Yes, cameras on track rides at thorpe are an absolute no, unless you want to desperately risk getting banned. I have a GoPro too, with wrist and chest mounts, and find it frustrating that articles more secure then clothes aren't allowed on rides, but those are the rules.
  6. I 100% agree. We've had this discussion before, blah de blah, but at the end of the day: 1. Six flags should have used all the parts gerst gave them for the train 2. Gerst should have made them mandatory etc, etc..
  7. Yes, the one in hollywoods tallest point is a mid course air time hill? The building can't be much taller then 30 ft. (Just researched it, and the track peaks at about 30ft.) We're looking at a 28 ft building, of course considering the fact that there is the possibility of digging down a little. a 30ft height is reasonable to suspect therefore, making a ride layout, at least, possibly having the chance of having the fun, punchful ride that is the squashed revenge of the mummy, hollywood.

Where'd Dara go? D: Nice to see 2 friendly faces in the driving seat (kind of) now. Not that Dara was bad or anything. 2 Good candidates I mean. Oh for gods sake. *cries*

I don't visit Burger King because the one in Amity area go my order wrong 3 times and over charged me. I found Universals food to be well priced and edible, their meatball sandwich with fries or whatever was only $6. Compounce got it even cheaper, a pasta pot being like $4.20

Bar 360 is actually really good quality food and is as good as a local restaurant I think. It's just a bit disjointed from the areas you'll likely be in the park during the day, and humans being humans will go for the easiest option to get to, which is normally the closest one. Replacing one of the burger kings would be a wise idea.

THURSDAY - Anything Goes I have always liked this song, even made a couple projects in RCT3 inspired by it, using a vekoma motorbike xD Good message.. Don't entirely agree with their view though.

Fortunately the only times I've visited Phantasia have been mid term days in Germany, so the park has always been empty. Also, Sure, there are a few questions asked, less answered, but it doesn't take much to join the dots. Anyway, What's happening about the whole brands thing? I mean I saw Ricky's Comment, but so is Burger King, KFC and Pizza Hut staying, or what is moving..?

What if you genuinely believe user is the best candidate for multiple options?

I was referring to Talocan, Josh. The ride's queue was 10 minutes, the plot is that you have been absorbed by the God Tlalocan, and are waiting for your fate. (Tlalocan is the God, or city of those who died via drowning or lightning, which relates with the effects) The ride is based I believe in an interrupted building that uncovers and ancient temple like structure. The mayan/aztec theme also relates to the surrounding mexican area. The ride is both appealing with story from the entrance to the exit, and during ride, aswell as being a great show for spectators. It covers pretty much everything you could want from a flat. Pretty much none of the flats at thorpe have a well intertwined and fitting theme in them. A couple of them have some logo's, colours, and audio slapped on 'em and they're rated good to go. A good ride, in my opinion, needs to be more then just cattle pen queuing, jumping on a ride, and wondering off. It needs to be an immersive, dramatic experience, that you're stuck in the middle of from the entrance of the queue to the end, and leaves you begging to go again. You get that from some thrills at thorpe, but the theming, at least for flats, is quite poor across the park.

Talocan is a great experience, but you have to be immune to many things, including: Lot' of smoke. Thick smoke. Impossible to breath for a good amount of time during the ride. Lot's of foreign noise, blasted loudly through speakers situated at some points just a couple metres in front of you. Fire. Oh wait. More spins then Rameses Half the seating, is poor seating. The experience on the back is pretty dire to that of the front. And then, of course, to pull that off, what we call a good, topspin, you'll need: An interactive queue line An indoor queue line A well managed queue line An Interesting queue line A plotful queue line. A short, queue line. A huge shell to cover half the ride in 'theming' A customised soundtrack Lots of effects for an 'immersive' experience Characters portrayed throughout the journey through the queue line and ride experience Interlocking themes Good maintenance Oh wait, we're talking about thorpe. The only thing they could do there is the 9th one, and it'd only work every 2 cycles. I love topspins but it just wouldn't work at Thorpe.

Haha, that's why it's a guilty pleasure. I used to be a die hard punk rock fan, but that part mostly died in me 4 or 5 years ago. I don't agree with alot of the lyrics, find some of the mosh sections bad, but I still think the song is good
  20. Inferno xd Anyway, Whilst I don't at all expect it to be an SFX coaster, (after interviews with Wardley revealed that Big ride developments can take up to 5 years to produce) here is a new video of all the options on a Dynamic attractions SFX coaster, along with an interesting interview afterwards. (Just to get some hopes up maybe xD)
