After exchanging messages with pluk I noticed that when you receive a message you get 2 types of notifications at the top of the screen. 1 Under the bell icon and 1 under the message icon. It seems a bit redundant to get notified twice when getting a message though it's obviously not a glaring issue

If that was a legit event I doubt the name would start with broadcasting themselves as the UK's DISNEYLAND before saying they are Paramount Park. Also those weird lines in the event title aren't very professional but then again neither is an open facebook event
Also what year is that 3rd of January date suggesting?
Last I heard things were not looking good for this park at all. They aren't even definitely happening let alone in a position to organise an opening party!
It also neglects to mention the BBC connection which I would have thought they would want everyone to know.
EDIT: Just found the event page.

That Sun article is hilariously stupid. It proclaims that Derren Brown's Ghost Train is a 'show' and that all the 'tickets' are sold out already! Guess none of us will get to experience this one of a kind 'show'!

Just got one of the emails regarding the 12p tickets myself. So they are definitely staggered rather than going to everyone at once. Glad they decided to do this especially since they didn't have to.

The Ghost Train shop is great. We went over to the screen with Derren Brown on it, my dad says "You want some baldy?" As a joke and he lunges at the screen as if he's trying to scare him! WTF how did they do that???

As part of the deal for the new ride Derren has to maintain a live feed presence on screen at all times and was therefore just reacting to what your dad was saying. See if you can catch him eating around lunch time

It's one of my favourite little jokes at the park!
Though I suppose photo development is becoming a slightly dated reference nowadays. -
Playing Uno on Rumba is exactly the kind of thing me and my friends aspire to do in ride photos!
If we ever actually do a decent photo that's kinda funny we'll post it here. We dressed as the characters from the Back to the Future last year to celebrate the anniversary but we never got a decent photo of us on a ride :/ -

That's disappointing
I hope Loggers doesn't suffer the same fate. Only got to ride The Flume around 3 times. Definitely not enough and now I won't get to try it again....Still, they say they have plans for replacements so I look forward to that

Is it just me or did some posts I saw earlier go walkabouts? Glad they did as they were very spoilerific! Didn't look at them for too long to save me from spoilers!

I'm done with reading this thread now and possibly these forums for a while mainly for 2 reasons.
Reason 1 - I don't want to know anymore about the ride from here on out.
Reason 2 - There is far too much unwarranted negativity from too many people in this thread. I suggest anyone who thinks they might enjoy the ride stays away from this thread since it's getting a little too toxic with no real reason. Even if the ride does turn out badly I don't want to go into it having been soured by the select few. You may say that it would be better to go in not expecting much and being surprised but I respectfully disagree with that.

The point of this ride is to go on without knowing what to expect though! If they show it all off in videos then it ruins the whole idea that Derren wanted of people going in without being told what to expect. I for one am looking forward to this ride and have been for a while regardless of whatever marketing there has been.
Sidenote, no mention of VR explicitly anywhere on the site so I think that's probably not true though unless they are hiding it.
I think the use of the behind the scenes stuff in that trailer was to show how much effort and different types of work have gone into the ride. Plus they need to show something without actually showing us what happens on the ride so it's the perfect fit.

It's also just been pointed out to me how badly written the article is, there are a lot of grammatical issues and they even spell Galactica wrong! Doesn't necessarily mean it's not real but food for thought right?

That still begs the question as to why they've posted this 2 days before the official reveal though?
Especially when they've been so careful in keeping everything hidden until tomorrow. Derren especially according to the article itself!

Did we lose some posts in this topic or something? I'm not seeing any past Thursday morning and I'm certain there was conversation since then....
EDIT : Nevermind, posting seems to have fixed it for me. I could only see up to page 89 before but am now seeing the ones after. Not sure if it's something worth looking into though!
