I was bored, so I decided to rank all of the B&Ms I've ridden. Some of these opinions may be controversial... 1. Shambhala 2. Nitro 3. Manta 4. Mako 5. Sheikra 6. Montu 7. OzIris 8. Kraken 9. Nemesis 10. Bizarro 11. Dragon Khan 12. The Swarm 13. Chinese Fireball 14. Oblivion 15. Galactica 16. Nemesis Inferno 17. Green Lantern 18. Kumba 19. Hungarian Horntail - Silver Star (not on the list for reasons I explained in my last top 15)

I've never had to queue for Oblivion, Am I just lucky or something? (I've only been to AT 3 times and one of those times I only used the SR line)

If anyone is interested (I certainly was), Ferrari Land does have an Express Pass (details about prices,etc. are not given on the website). From what PA told me, there is one pass that lets you access each ride once (obviously through the express queue). The price is €30. Seeing as there are only about 6 rides, I'll probably just stick with not buying one (if I go this year).

Wait till you ride Nemesis AT (have you ridden it yet?) or Manta, those are B&M's with force, which is why everyone loves them Speaking of Nemesis, I have yet to get a front and back row ride on it. Probably why I haven't put it too high up on my list.

I think we should move this discussion into the "fear on a ride" topic or whatever it is called. Colossus is not at all worthy enough to be mentioned in a topic about B&M.

I would say do Swarm first (my regular motto is Stealth first, but judging by your situation that seems unlikely). The Swarm is the definition of a ride that is not as scary than it looks. It's quite smooth, graceful, fun and you feel very secure due to the huge harness (it's the same vest restraint style used on Galactica). Plus, after riding Swarm, you'll naturally feel more confident with riding other major coasters at the park. I've known some people who were fine on Swarm but were freaked out by Dragon's Fury, most people on this forum will agree that Dragon's Fury is way more intense than the Swarm. With this ride, even if it is slightly nerve racking (that is understandable) you will love it and it won't be nearly as scary as you expected.

That layout is probably the most creative layout a Dive Coaster could probably feature at this day and age. But about Kanonen, is it going to be Relocated or are they just scapping it? I really think that it would be a great fit for many other parks in Europe due to it's compact nature.

Speak to someone about it I guess? Like a parent or friend. Or if it gets too serious to a point it's ruining your life, see a doctor. This sounds like insomnia to me.

Sorry for the double post once again... But the new Ferrari Land is more or less open (I think there was some sort of press day today or something) with Red Force now operating. So the European height record can now be taken from Shambhala!

Done and done! I think the amount of people that have probably cringed at me in some shape or form is alarming

With that, it's one thing if it's a ride at your home park or at a park your spending more than 1 day at. You know you'll be able to ride it again so it's annoying but not too big a deal. But it is the ultimate trigger, if it is at a park that you'll probably visit about 2 or 3 times in your life. This happened to me when I waited 1hr for Superman The Ultimate Flight at SFGAdv which then closed because of a power outage. They had to manually get people out of their seats on the final brake run. That still annoys me to this day. That's ONE less cred!

Being an enthusiast, there are a hell of a lot of "things" that trigger us. For example, things that trigger me: When a ride has assigned seating and they don't let you wait for the front/back (I know it's a policy and it improves throughputs so they have to, but surely if you're willing to wait longer you deserve the front/back). People holding up the queue leaving a 10 metre gap and taking 5 minutes to notice. Whenever Colossus runs on one train. GP friends who have been to Busch Gardens saying that Sheikra goes "inwards" on the drop (the amount of times I hear that, it drives me crazy). Anyone generally saying something about a ride which I know for a fact is incorrect (such as "The Swarm is 128ft tall"). People saying how they were stuck on a roller coaster half-way down the drop. So this topic is a place to post the theme park related things that trigger you. This shall be interesting...

@ThemeParkCrafter Is your neck still in place (granted you've ridden Saw)

To be fair, some of the milestones at Cedar IJABVOTAHAHOC Point did come sometime before that of Thorpe's so if anything, it should be Thorpe "I'm just a smaller version of Cedar Point and I'm not good enough to compete" Park.

I would say head back definitely. Saw is rough in a different way to something like Colossus. Colossus is rough in the way that you get uncontrollable headbanging (so having your head forwards would be better then). However with Saw, it's rough in the sense of breaking your neck kind of, so rather than being forced side to side you're really being forced forwards and backwards. If you have your head forwards expect your neck to strain quite a lot but if you keep it back, you'll hopefully be able to enjoy the ride. And generally from what I've noticed, it's smoother in the back row and on the inside seats.

The queue for ROTD was moving surprisingly quickly yesterday. Have they done something to upgrade the capacity?

Yep, I now consider DBGT:ROTD to be a solid average ride.

I tried ROTD out today and I was honestly dissapointed. Going from the 2nd VR section, I found it to be dull and uneventful. Of course it's better than the old 2nd VR section but still it just didn't deliver and from my point of view, wasn't actually scarier. Then the ending... Overall, it is better than the old ghost train. But it just doesn't really have much of a scare factor which I'm not too impressed. I'll just stick with a 5/10.

It was open this morning (on one train) but then closed at about 12:30 ish, there were multiple test runs going on throughout the day but it didn't actually reopen. I expect the same might happen on Wednesday.

Is it me? Or is Stealth turning into an actual Intamin Accelerator? (I'm saying this because Intamin Accelerators always break down, whereas Stealth used to have a surprisingly small amount of downtime for an Intamin Accelerator.)

But Thorpe Park isn't really supposed to be a completely family oriented park. It'll all come down to visitors, and I guarantee that they'd get more visitors with another big roller coaster.

A friend has got in with me before, but from what I remember on those days the annual pass holders were let in the same time as the GP so it wasn't really too big a deal.

I think gimmicks work well granted the actual gimmick makes the coaster a great coaster. For example, Shambhala (yes I know, I can't go 10 seconds without bringing this up) was known as Europes highest roller coaster (tallest technically). And as far as I'm concerned, there aren't really any issues with the gimmick. The height is one of the best aspects of the coaster. On the other hand, a gimmick such as "the worlds first 14 looping roller coaster" doesn't necessarily make the coaster a great coaster, it's simply just numbers and maybe aesthetics. I personally enjoy the smiler but I have heard of some people to dislike it. But knowing Thorpe Park, they are without a doubt going to attempt a gimmick. Let's just hope it's a good one
