  1. Sorry I thought he meant glitches in the vr video while it was running.
  2. They really have got a problem if it was glitching today, glitching is a symptom of overheating, and today wasn't exactly hot, infact it was so cold and a lack of sun that my greenhouse turned itself off for the first time since March, and all it needs is an hour of sun a day to recharge the lipo.
  3. That RAP system/description is universal, as you say what may be applicable to one user, may not be another. I have a friend who is 42, he can queue no problem, as long as there are maybe five people in it, so SRQ is ideal, he could also queue for 5 hours if needed, as long as everybody is quiet. He suffers from sensory overload so SRQ and RAP is a great combination, if the queue isn't long he'll do that, if it is he'll use the RAP. He would cope fine in a breakdown. My nephew on the other hand cannot even cope with something as simple as keeping his trousers up, he would probably have a heart attack in a breakdown (he's 10). Both are treated the same and need a "responsible adult" with them when using the RAP. So as you say it's a guide they stick to, if Sam is capable of using the SRQ instead of having to suffer the dirty looks of judgemental chavs by going down the exit and using his RAP, I don't see a problem with him doing that, management on the other hand....
  4. Needing RAP could be for any number of reasons, it's a RAP requirement that an adult rides with them, not the person themselves (if the RAP user is an adult they still need another adult with them) so if a RAP person is able to queue for 5 minutes in the SRQ surely it's better for them to do that than it is go up the exit and clogings up that way. Please don't come back with the classic "well if you can do an SRQ then you can do the main queue", the two are not the remotest bit comparable, especially at Chessie where their expert operations can easily turn a 10 minute main queue into an hour in the blink of an eye.
  5. I don't remember there being any last year but the place was rammed, we only stayed for an hour because the RAP queue was so long the park would have closed before we got to the front of it so we only did trick or treat wood and left. Have they been date stamping you RAP pass? Last time we went the silly dove in the office tried to stamp the date on it, black ink on navy blue card doesn't show up and she kept trying over and over, to the point where our card now looks like a 3 year old has been using it to wipe their nose.

    Scarefest

OK so my son has decided he'd like to go to Scarefest this year (he's 12) but will decide at the time if he wants to do the mazes, he's more interested in the atmosphere and rides, so as MAP holders, do we need to pre-book anything? Is it considered just a regular day? The reason I ask is my wife had seen a notice on Facebook saying don't turn up if you don't have a pre-booked ticket, so she doesn't want to do a potential four hour drive if there's a chance we won't get in (we plan on going to Warwick Castle too during the trip). I guess the same applies to the fireworks too?
  7. Perhaps now Merlin will learn and stick to tried and tested attractions, they could have had two Smiler's for the same cost, yes? Oh and Archive, you really need to consider a username change to Annoyed, not that I disagree with anything you've said, just it would be more relevant
  8. I still think Chessingtons's state is directly linked to it's ownership by Merlin, if you own something then how you maintain it is your decision, you don't have that when you lease something, where it's dictated to you.
  9. Ah that explains their paranoia later in the evening then. Regarding weather, don't take much notice of forecasts until Wednesday/Thursday, they couldn't predict a drunk in a pub most of the time, for instance all last week they were showing heavy rain over Thorpe for Friday, and Saturday to Monday solid rain here, it's presently clear blue sky 19C outside and hasn't rained since 1.30pm yesterday. I have raintoday.co.uk bookmarked on my phone and just check it before heading out, they show you the previous two hours rainfall and it's extremely easy to predict yourself where the rain is going to go, far more accurate than the professionals (we were at Warwick Castle a couple of weeks ago and it started to rain, people were packing up and leaving but the radar showed it was just a 15 minute shower, rest of the day was clear, and it was).
  10. It was 90 mins all night, I was kind of hoping it wouldn't be open at all so that we got a third night lol There was a big queue at guest services when we left at just after 10.
  11. Which ride didn't they check the restraints on tonight? Overall I found the staff to be fairly pleasant tonight, the guy operating Slammer had a particularly wicked sense of humour too along with his "puff fairy assistants", if anything it was the stupidity of some of the patrons that surprised me.
  12. I can't remember the specifics but do remember they got into trouble over Cobra. Maybe one of the locals can confirm?
  13. Probably just a materials dumping ground. I though as part of their "settlement" with the local council to get the retrospective planning consent for Cobra was an agreement never to build on that field?
  14. They're taking over, kill them with fire, or perhaps not. We do seem to have suffered a rather large increase in spiders this year, perhaps it was the mild winter followed by a reasonably good summer didn't kill as many off, I must have evicted at least 30 this week alone, and a friend posted a photo of one she found in her kitchen on FB that was a good 8 inches across.
  15. They obviously didn't watch the documentary judging by some of the "facts" stated here.

    Injuries

Ouch, sounds painful. Just a useless update on my finger, it's all healed, not even a scar, but one thing I did discover was the usefulness of superglue and teabags to hold the nail together, at one point just moving my finger was enough to have me doubled up in agony, but I remembered my mum putting my dads finger back together many years ago with a teabag and glue, so I cut up a teabag to the shape of the nail and then glued it over the two pieces, instant relief, might be useful to someone else one day.

    Services Day

I thought those dates were the ultimate firework thing?
  18. I'll give you that, but BPB has more rides, they may break your back and leave you in traction for three months, but they've got a far better selection than Chessie.
  19. I doubt the hits from our little community make much difference, we're not their target audience. Having said that, someone does need to explain to them the definition of 'hanging upside down'.
  20. Nothing to say they nicked it, at Warwick Castle they use a lot of Two Steps from Hell music, and anybody can use that as long as you pay them, I've even heard the same track used by ESPN.
  21. Hmm hadn't thought of that but yeah they did let all the RAP queue in together and cleared out Joe Public before letting us on.
