  1. Somehow that wouldn't surprise me...
  2. There was also a video showing pretty much the same thing on their snapchat story this morning Sounded like there was still lots of construction going on!
  3. Unfortunately I won't be there as that's the day I'm coming home from Holland
  4. Well it's either that, or I'll be running national atc cross country (which I somehow managed to qualify as a reserve for last week...) on the Saturday and then walking the remaining 28 miles on the Sunday
  5. Hi everyone! So the date for this meet as per the poll will be Sunday the 28th of February! Hope to see you there!
  6. I won't be attending in afraid, I will be walking 50 miles that weekend
  7. I just got a mental image of Derren being on the screens in the queue like the creepy guy on Oblivion...
  8. Probably reasonably considering it's an ice rink and there's no lower age limit...
  9. Sup nerds! Happy to announce my first meet and TPM's February meet! The date is now set for the 28th of February 2016! I know it's short notice but I've heard a few people saying they would be interested in either aspect of this event so we'll see how it goes The idea is to go swimming at the Guildford Spectrum water park in the afternoon, go out for a meal, and then return to the Spectrum for one of their famous Ice Xtreme Ice Discos! Okay so the plan for the day! Meet on the Guildford Spectrum stairs at 15:00 to get ready for our swimming session ideally at 15:30. The swimming session will be £6.90 for adults and £5.20 for under 16's, it lasts for 90 minutes and the pool looks really cool and has a few decent water slides to enjoy. Then we will head out to get something to eat, probably at the Beefeater next door. Finally we will go back to the Spectrum for the start of the ice disco which begins at 20:30, and ends at 23:00 on a Saturday and 22:30 on the Sunday, so the ending time for this meet depends on which date is chosen! The price for the disco is £5.90 if we go on a Saturday and £5.60 if we go on Sunday plus £2 skate hire. Depending on which activities most people are doing we will also fit the Group Photo in somewhere! I'll hand out my number for everyone on the day so if anyone is running late, coming late, or gets split up anywhere they can contact me Anyone is welcome to come, even if you've never posted on the forum or been to a meet before. It's nice to see people in a relaxed atmosphere outside of the theme parks that we are usually in! Feel free to PM me if you want any more information or are unsure about anything Please post here or PM me to say if you're coming to the meet and I'll update the list here so we all know! You are welcome to bring a guest with you but please let us know their names so they aren't known as +1! 10. I dislike it when (like right now!) My flatmates throw parties in the kitchen next door while I'm (obviously) working really hard to get this assignment finished
  11. I know, and I agree that it's out of order. But you aren't going to solve that here. Once again, just ignoring him would solve that problem, after a while of you not reacting to it, he would stop.
  12. I agree, it doesn't. But if you forgive and forget, or accept that some people will have an opinion of you and unfortunately you can't change that, you can work around it and try and be the better person Maybe you should follow the advice you gave to toofpikk and ignore him? Then you can get on with your forum life without having to worry about him. As with anyone, when they see you aren't getting worked up about it and aren't causing a massive scene and fuss, they'll stop bothering you.
  13. Maybe he just wanted to forget and put it behind you? Or maybe he just wasn't in the mood to sort anything out this morning. Though obviously I'm not aware of the situation so don't know. And maybe you should just leave it all for now then and see what happens from it.We should all try and be a bit more 'forgive-and-forget'-ing... EDIT: Just remember that when you bring something up on forum you bring it up in front of 2000-odd members that all get notified of a post as there's a new unread thing, and any members of the public that Google maybe Derren Brown or something and get sucked in to the rest of the forum, maybe wanting to see the most recent post thinking it's more ride news. A public place is no place to sort a disagreement.
  14. I agree with that point, but some things should be dealt with either privately or with a community outside the one the issue has occurred in. Bringing it up here could just seem like you are trying to antagonise the other person more or any of the others you say have been out of order to you.I would say (in my opinion) a personal issue with any individual(s) that have access here shouldn't be brought up here, only with the people involved and any that can take direct action

Just saying it has been said by a few people now that they are redo-ing the rust effect on top of the white colour. The white is NOT the final effect.
  16. I have this glorious image to scroll across as I go through my home screens... SMILE. ALWAYS.
  17. Coming from the guy with "The London Dungeon" in his avatar and signature...

Pretty sure they repainted Oblivion at some point?

Nemesis is indeed being repainted: (credit to TowersCentral on facebook) It looks so white!
  20. So I went to renew my annual pass today and they were giving away free pop badges with every pass (got one with my standard and saw a family buying premiums getting one each)... Got told they were limited edition so are they just there for the duration of the sale? Or until the ride opens...? Looks good! I wonder how many they've made...
  21. Ha! If any teacher had suggested buying students iPads to the parents of kids at my old secondary (this was only three years ago), they would have had an army of benefit mums at their door using MarkC's argument that some kids could afford it but most couldn't leading to a divide and huge bullying. Phones were banned completely, if found given back at the end of the day and if found again during that week given back at the end of the week. I learned fine, and it was one of the most awful state schools in the area. We had one room of apple macs for the media students that the school advertised at every opportunity as they had been an investment by a huge media company and we were crazily lucky to have any. I really don't understand this reliance on technology schools are developing, I don't really see how a tablet will help a student learn better, it will just cause distraction as kids find ways of playing games in lessons.
  22. I think with the track comment he was saying that the track shown in that promotional picture is clearly a Verkoma track, not a B&M one. It is the standard track they use for these kind of images and have used it many times in the past (despite no longer having a coaster of this type on site). However if some people in the public know it's an Air retheme and others have just heard 'new attraction' from the papers, this poster may lead them all to believe it is a new coaster type thing with the VR, as the poster is clearly not Air. B&M track is very distinctive, even to the public
