Chessington General Discussion
It basically doesn't, I haven't seen the gate open since it was put in

Chessington General Discussion
No, these post it notes are meant to stop single riders going in the disabled queue and vice versa. Despite the fact the gate is open anyway and you queue at the top of the stairs.

The Six Flags Thread
Six Flags have bought 5 parks in the US: Wet n' Wild Splashtown and Phoenix, Darien Lake, Frontier City and White Water Bay. http://investors.sixflags.com/news-and-events/press-releases/2018/05-22-2018-210951050 EDIT This puts them at 25 parks, my God.

Phantasialand
That's really nice, I've never been but Phantasialand seems like it could be my favourite park when I get there. also, is that background music from Thorpe? Sounds like it to me. Would make sense with the IMAScore link.

Jobs At Chessington
How old do you have to be to get a job at Chessie? I've heard 16 for a ride host, which is only a year away for me, but I'm not sure.

2018 General Discussion
Genuine question, why? Surely you get more value for money when you get to go to all the parks and the midway attractions rather than just Thorpe? Why not just get a Thorpe one if you only use it there?

Tiger Rock
Had the pleasure of seeing the Tiger Talk today. Was really interesting to see the tigers up close and how they train them - they use a whistle like thing on the end of a long stick, so the tiger has to follow the whistle and blow into it to get his or her food. A couple of times they made her stand up and my god, those things are much bigger than they look. They also spoke a bit about Wildfire at Kolmarden - they explained how the tigers wouldn't be bothered by the noise of the log flume, because they were situated by the main drop of the ride back in Sweden, so they're used to it by now.

I guess that makes sense, hopefully they make an effect like the train is rising from a pit of fire.

Alton Towers General Discussion
This saga has more twists and turns than any given rollercoaster in England. It's really starting to drag on a bit now. Someone had their camera out on the Rapids, who cares, wouldn't be the first time and it sure as hell won't be the last. Time for Alton to focus on more important things than pathetically arguing with a semi-famous-ish YouTuber over whether he should have taken a photo on the Rapids, despite the fact it's in the past and they can do nothing to change it now.

Alton Towers General Discussion
Hmm. If this is true and they were given permission, Merlin really need to sort this out. There seems to be a real disconnect between their rules on social media/website and their rules at all of their parks. I was told not long ago on Twitter GoPros are no longer allowed at Chessington, only to see someone ask if they can take their mounted GoPro on Dragons Fury and the answer was yes.

14 replies... ugh I bet each and every one of them is attacking AT for daring to reinforce their rules at the expense of Lord Sanbrooke...

The Blue Barnacle (Previously Black Buccaneer)
People on Facebook are saying multiple staff members and even management have said it was meant to be done in March, but they haven't been able to because they need a crane to carry it out, and they can't get one in while people are in the park. Some have even said staff members have said it isn't coming back. Chessington actually acknowledged the conversation and just said to keep an eye on social media. (Someone did also say that it has been removed permanently for that new water coaster we saw, so take the above with a pinch of salt of course)

As much as I absolutely love that colour, it still irks me a bit that the ride is called Fenix and it's not red.
