  1. I bet you also hate the castle thing at the side of Vampire's lift hill, something they didn't have to do and is alot better than just staring at a chain link fence, but "ugh cheap!"
  2. It's a little advertisement in a corner, which I walked past about three times and didn't notice. If the actual maze looked like that, then fair enough, but all it is is an advert. It's not like they're going to spend thousands on something as small as this, which will only be there for about two months max.
  3. One of my clearest memories from Florida 6 years ago is the "2 hour" delay at Heathrow which then became a "2 1/2 hour delay" which then turned into a 4 hour delay which then became a 6 hour delay which then became a 9 hour delay. The most boring 9 hours of my life.
  4. Here's the website https://www.chessington.com/halloween/creepy-caves.aspx Judging from that, this door will be the entrance which would make sense as it leads straight into a staircase. The website includes an interesting sounding storyline, £6 sounds a hell of a lot though. New for 2017 and with a 'three bat rating’, Creepy Caves Unearthed is our scariest attraction yet. No one knows why the famous reptile and creepy crawly exhibit in the Zoo closed its doors at the end of 2016… until now.
  5. "Creepy Caves: Unearthed" So we can gather from the promo picture and the logo itll have some sort of zombie thing going on. EDIT This has also popped up by the old fire exit. All thats visible construction wise is the bridge by the crocodiles (?) deconstruted in the exit.
  6. Like, 95% of people who wear their pass around their necks do it to show off. "Ooh, I've got a Merlin Pass, look at me, I got in for free! I get a discount! It's a premium pass, that costs money too!" Plus they want staff to treat them like kings and queens as they walk around. And trust me, every one of them has moaned about something insignificant on Facebook.
  7. And the only evidence you need is that facebook group of theirs. My mum is a part of it and there isn't a day they're not moaning about either something perfectly normal, a rule they don't like or something out of the parks control.
  8. Don't you say that about everything Merlin do?

    Legoland

An acrobat has been injured in the pirate show. http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/pirate-injured-and-taken-to-hospital-after-accident-at-legoland-1-8671026
  10. THORPE PARK somethingsomethingsomething - Part of it appears to be blurred out which is interesting.
  11. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned or not but I'm sure Fury's weight limit has been raised, like alot. We've been allowed on all together every time, until last time, even though my mums been on a diet, my sister weighs as much as a paper bag, I haven't put much weight on (however not lost that much) and my dad can't have put that much weight on.

    Th13teen

I love thirteen as a coaster, but last time I didn't go on and I don't know about next time. The thing is that noise at the drop, I think it's an air cannon or something. It's FAR too loud for me and on the first ride it made me jump so much I was shaking for a good hour after. Blocking my ears doesn't help much but even then I can't hold on for the drop.
  13. Black Buccaneer is absolutely awful operations-wise. They don't know what they're doing. Loading the boat literally takes longer than the ride itself. They get people in from the disabled queue, get them on the ride, get a group from the normal queue, get them on the ride, arrange them weirdly, get another group on the ride, make sure an over 16 is on the end, repeat. It's ridiculous. I hate these new announcements. I prefer "The Vampire is Taking Flight" over "You're in for a Fright" but you can just tell they were recorded by an operator with a spare hour during the winter.
  14. Looks good, well the concept art anyway, bit odd that 'Dragon' Falls goes through tiger.

    Legoland

Ninjago is my new favourite dark ride. Here's my much more detailed blog post:
  16. So I've abandoned the other blog, because it's embarrassing . "Monthly". Today we visited LEGOLAND, to check out Ninjago and this post will be mainly about that. Firstly, though, OMG PIRATE FALLS. It was like having a bucket of water tipped over you from every angle. I didn't dry off properly until it was time to go home. I've actually got a cold on it every time I've been on it since last year. Also new smell pods in the Dragon (I think). The kitchen smells heavily like food, unless it was coming from the restaurant but I'd never smelt it before today. Anyway, Ninjago. There will be spoilers. Be aware. This ride is amazeballs. So amazeballs it may well be my favourite dark ride out there. Subject to change once I get to Europe. Lets start with the queue. We used the RAP so I didn't experience the full queue, but the part I did experience was very quick moving (the trains move very quickly through the station), the videos that play are reminiscent of those weird news show cartoons, you know the sort (warning, very strange banner photo is quite NSFW), and it's very hot but it was quite well themed. You're given the 3D glasses (which I wasn't keen on as I don't really like 3D) and once seated the incredibly clunky lap bar which hosts the sensors and some sort of air conditioning which blows onto your arm. I think there are speakers in front of you too. So the ride starts and you are doing this training, the "shooting" system is quite frustrating, but what makes this ride amazing is that didn't affect my enjoyment at all. All of a sudden you're out of training and fighting some bad guys, it's quite confusing, but it may have been explained. Everyone was making alot of noise so I couldn't hear very well. At one point you're flying over lava and the room goes hot, then the room goes icy and you're blasted with air. It gets really immersive, when you fall on the screen it feels like you're actually falling, all of the effects match what's going on on the screen. There's a really nice smoke/mist effect, and some nice strobes too. At one point you go through what appears to be a mine, there's rockwork everywhere and wooden supports holding it up, as well as barrels, dynamite, and strangely fireworks. This was one of my favourite parts of the ride as this is where most of the physical theming is. The ride comes to an end and you see the ninjas celebrating before it's time to exit. You see the onride photo, which I didn't even know was taken, and then exit into the (very cramped) shop. The ride is almost perfect imo. The story could be a bit clearer and there's a bit of exposed warehouse from the front, but as others have said, when you come off you don't care about the score and you'd rather talk about the ride. At first, I wasn't keen. I thought it was too loud and too much going on, too realistic as it were. But once I got used to it, it instantly became my favourite ride at LEGOLAND. If you haven't already, get down there NOW! This >>>>>>>>> Gruffalo. 9.5/10 from me.
  17. They're talking about the accident (still) on Channel 5

    Logger's Leap

It's either the social media guys or the management but someone at Thorpe is bipolar.
  19. I forgot to mention Galactica on my last visit, we were waiting in the station for about half an hour because the ride wouldn't start with people on. People were taken off the ride and it dispatched fine, but once they got back on it wouldn't start and the technical problem announcement played again. Eventually they added a third train and everything was fine again. Does anyone know what happened?
  20. Lets just hope nobody has their hands up at that point
  21. What is this sign called in game? I can't find it anywhere. I'm talking about the big board in the background.
  22. The Gruffalo is a book for five year olds and below. Why would you make it almost pitch black with massive props that are definetly going to scare the target market? Its a decent ride but for who its designed for its a literal nightmare.
