  1. I bet Merlin just went onto Paint and filled the page black and called this "marketing"
  2. Looks like Thorpe's marketing budgets get smaller every year..

I don't feel like most female artists choose to dress sl*tty. I feel most female artists are sexaulised by the industry, with the kinda sit there and look pretty approach towards most female artists. But then I feel it works the same to men a bit, bands like One Direction are made purely for infatuation to young girls. if One Direction where a group of middle age misfits they would be irrelevant. I feel like Adele is a gem not just to females artists. But to a whole industry..
  4. Whats so bad about a Derren Brown theme? I think it isn't a bad theme at all (miles better than IACs concept).
  5. Isn't that that the whole park's theme?
  6. Anyway they could add a family friendly maze, there are going in that direction a little. The Back To Future Maze would never happen though.
  7. Well at least it would be scarier than Containment...
  8. Back To The The Future-the maze.

I meant that the American style scare zones and the Towers old scare zones had theming. In IMO scare zones like any other attraction need theming. American Style zones are probably miles better.
  11. I think maze tickets are way better than the 5£ extra charge+ ridicoulous ques. As I feel like the attractions as it is isn't good enough... They need to add mazes, or add maze tickets, or pull a Universal and make it free flowing.
  12. I disagree I feel like thorpe give you 5-6 4 minute mazes, where Alton give you 2-3 10 minutes mazes. And I feel like in other years Alton have beated Thorpe a couple of times. IMO coS and The Sanctuary are examples of that.
  13. It also means the mazes don't need to rush through people.. cough* MBV cough* but I also feel feel like maze tickets do need to be reduced at Thorpe, the only reason I think there expensive at the Towers is because of the length of them all..

I agree with you a little, but sadly there's gonna be someone somewhere who will do it and get away with it nethertheless..
  15. IMO maze tickets would benefit the mazes overall, and it also prevent masses of queing happening.. Thats my problem with FN. almost every time someone goes to Thorpe they need to buy fastrack to prevent queing for 3 hours! I think they should make 1-2 mazes ticketed, and make the other 3 free. And TBH I find free mazes more money grabbing anyway, they probably make more money from maze fastrack than maze tickets..
  16. I think maze tickets should be introduced, it feels like the lineup suffers due them being non ticketed. For me they should focus on a few mazes instead of having 5 mazes, it feels like we get more length and more quality for less mazes.
  17. As much as I love film, I really don't think it would work. The Babadook is more of psyological depression film than any thing else. It would take one hell of a imagination and a budget to do a Babadook maze, and what would the actors be? I feel like the main focus of the film is far apart from a horror maze. IMO The Babadook should be left from being destroyed by Merlin..
  18. I guess he blurts out so many "claims" he is bound to get one right..
  19. I actually would actually prefer a year round maze to this, at least a year round maze will be good year round. Our British weather will mean this will be unpopular until the summer,(even then its hit and miss when it is hot).

Its good fun yeah, but for me it was not scary at all. It would of been miles better if there was a panic to escape, but for me there wasn't.

I guess it is a better use of 10£ than Containment..
  22. But where would Asylum go?

    Couldn't be more on topic...
  24. JoshuaA replied to JoshC.'s topic in Alton Towers
So looking at the scare zones I don't think Alton can pull of the "American Style" scare zone. It just looks cheap, it looks like a area with 4 actors with no theming and some smoke machines.. Even the American zones have theming, hopefully they sort the scare zones out..

The pre show will be a dealer, then your move onto the trippy bit. Untill you make a friendly stop into prison.
