  1. My opinion 8. The Volt: Corridors are too wide for the gimmick to work, not a lot of actors. 7. Haunted House: Creepy, short but fun. 6. Hellements: Alright, greatly presented, just don't like the gimmick. 5. The Colony: Most themed of the mazes, just not too scary. 4. Haunted Hayride: Random, fun and scary! 3. Nightshade Circus: Really clever, love the ending. 2. The Cellar: Themed really well, and the actors are very jumpy. 1. Chop Shop: I'm really afraid of chainsaws, near the end it was a chainsaw frenzy. I found it manic with blood, chainsaws, and strobes.
  2. Tulleys farm is one of the best scream parks in the UK, and this year Tulleys has expanded to 8 attractions! Here's my review, sorry not many photos, but I was having so much fun I forgot. The Nightshade Circus: Nightshade replaces Twisted from last year, it is very similar in some ways. But also very different, the maze was full of curtians. With loads of other things too..including VERY uneven floors, a spinning tunnel, and a bag squish section (I call it the fanny). Another change is the ending, there was a clown on the floor, who got up and had a noisy power tool! The Colony: I hated The Tunnel last year, The Colony is way better in a way, it weaves in and out of darkness and tribe(ish) sections. At one point there is even a teepee! The ending was decent, not the best maze but still good. Haunted Hayride: Haunted Hayride is infamous for its scares and laughs. This year its changed quite a lot, with it being very different from last year. With new scenes including Sweeney Tod, a girl with a chainsaw friendly boyfriend. Haunted Hayride for me will never get old, great attraction, Hellements: Hellements is very mixed, some people will find it very scary, some people will find it meh. Hellements overall is done very well, with water, fire, wind. Its very good with special effects. I guess it adds a unique addition to the lineup, ok gimmick, beautifully presented. Haunted House: Haunted House is similar to last year, not many actors but very eerie. It is beautifully themed, with a great facade. The actors it does have are very lively. But sadly its a little short, but a fun little attraction. The Cellar: The Cellar is excatly like last year, amazing. The Cellar is just mad, actors are mad, scream and jump at you. They are loads of actors too, they are almost everywhere, most of the time they surround you. The Cellar is really themed, dark and very scary. The Chop Shop: Wow, The Chop shop was great, it was mad. The Chop Shop is like a chainsaw frenzy, with 6 (I counted) actors with chainsaws near the end. It is very manic with blood everywhere, loads of strobes and actors with chainsaws. The Chop Shop is awesome, best maze of the night. The Volt: Hmm, The Volt was wierd for me, it fell a little bit flat. There were shock pads, but it was light enough and wide enough for them to be useless. They weren't many actors, it was short. Could be a lot better. Roamers: They were loads of roamers, from chainsaws, too popcorn girls. I saw the mummy, dracula, and loads of more roamers. The roamers are way better than Thorpes IMO. Overall I had a good time, Tulleys was great this year.

    The Flume

A nice filler? more like a big waste of space..
  4. I disagree,I find PMBO dull and a little boring. I find Infusion awful, due to how rough it is. If those last two rides where great, PBP would be my favorite theme park. I love the woodies,Valhalla, Ice Blast (even though it is meh compared to other clones).
  5. Tulleys IMO is way better, the mazes at tulleys are very different to Thorpes. There longer, and the actors in mazes such as the Cellar are way more jumpier, but some mazes Tulleys aren't as scary as some of Thorpes. IMO Thorpe's a little scarier overall, but for me Tulleys is 10 times more fun.
  6. For me, Haunted Hayride is the most fun. Twisted is also really fun, due how confusing it is! Haunted House isn't the most fun, but it is very eerie. And look out for the roamers, they IMO are 10 times better thans Thorpes roamers.
  7. I'm going tomorrow too,see you there! The lineup: The Volt Haunted Hayride Chop Shop Haunted House Nightshade Circus The Colony Hellements The Cellar
  8. I guess your just way too basic..
  9. Nah, there's stiff competition from the likes of Chessington.
  10. Budget cuts,Spoon is right. Merlin and there budget cuts. I guess it isn't to bad of a loss, for me though Thorpe is going to be flooded with ques due to a plethora of rides closed..
  11. Yeah how offensive... I'm never going on the forum again!

    Scarefest

For me a age restriction should be enforced, but like 12 and older can enter the mazes. Anyway called guest services, and they said it will be fine. hopefully just a marketing scam, like the Th13teen age limit thingy.

    Scarefest

Thorpe don't have a age restriction, its a recommendation.Alton in previous years has been a recommendation too. This is the first time they have gone all out on a age restriction.

    Scarefest

Thorpe's maze are WAY better. TBH I've had more scares watching the X Factor than the Scarefest mazes! TOTT is boring and dull, I thought the Sanctuary was one of the worst mazes I did last year. Scary tales being tiny didn't help it replacing one of the UK's best mazes, and Zombies was meh.

    Scarefest

TBH I might just try "pretend" to look older, I am very tall, hopefully they don't ask for ID. Who the hell carries ID at a blimming theme park!

    Scarefest

I'm 13 and love the mazes, they are one of my favorite things to do at a theme park. Sadly I have already booked the mazes, so now I'm gonna get a refund, I'm really disapointed. I have booked a hotel, so I might go off to screamfest burton.. For me the mazes are something I love, anyway a age restriction suprises me, wouldn't Merlin loose out on some money by restricting to 15+ ?
  17. Tulleys Farm's new maze has electric shocks in it, actually it would of really made Saw Alive a little better. But then again I don't think Merlin could keep the effects working for long though, Scorpion Express anybody. Here's mine Saw Alive: 1/5, terrible. S13: 2/5, meh. Cabin: 4/5, fun, but the ending.. MBV 4/5 , intense and claustophobic, just very short. Asylum: 5/5, great maze, great ending, BWP (2013) 1/5, terrible BWP (2014) 4/5, long, and a good ending.
  18. Universal have way bigger budgets to play around with than merlin do, anyway HHN's mazes are not in groups and suffer from that greatly. Merlin just simply can't invest millions if pounds into a event which is less than a month long, even if they would like to,they don't have the budget for it.

    Injuries

I went rafting and hit my bum on a rock, now I look like this.
  20. Yes, but the budget at HHN is probably 100 times bigger than FN. You can't compare one of the UKs best to one of the WORLDs best.
  21. No it isn't like this is a forum with different opinions, everybody has to the like the same thing or they are mentally unstable!
  22. I came in like a wrecking ball, I just wanted knock Storm Surge down,And then tear Colossus down!

  23. But haven't thorpe gave something new every year? Thorpe have changed the lineup quite a lot in the last 3 years IMO.
  24. IMO the reason Saw is bad is because it dosen't go near being like the film, its just jump scares! If they replicated some torture scenes and put loads of gore in it, it would be a unique to the lineup. Also Saws lighting is way too dark, half the time you can't even see the great theming..
  25. Happy birthday to Jordan Luke. have fun while your still allowed on here!
