That’s probably it and as you say it’s just worded wrong. Although there is no use of the word unlimited either. Something has to pay for the new mazes. But in seriousness it could be they’ve listened and implemented changes to fastrack so it’s not oversold. Nobody really knows until the first week. ^what Baron said

With the ultimate + mazes they’ve added But if you’ve got unlimited riding like non fright nights ultimate then you don’t get timeslots as you go on things when you want.

The ultimate fastrack + mazes, that appears not to be unlimited rides fastrack unlike the non fright nights ultimate fastrack - is that normal or a new change?

Feared Five fastrack £44 Ultimate Fastrack + Maze £125

So Thorpe are doing backstage tours of the mazes but it appears only for VIP annual pass holders (unless announced elsewhere for others) https://www.merlinannualpass.co.uk/vip/golden-experience-tickets/thorpe-park-resort-the-backstage-tours
  6. Genuine question The weather policy for operating rides, is this Merlin now sticking fully to the ride manufacturers recommendations or is it a far more aggressive approach by Merlin that exceeds the recommendations?

That’s interesting about them overspending, Slammer had what 4 staff most the time. The budget for staff and its maintenance would have been of use for the “Lifeguards”. Unless of course slammers closure was made centrally / not planned to open anyway and then the budget removed as it wasn’t needed. Great at post though

Makes perfect sense given the extra staffing costs since Drayton. Resources clearly can be put to better use elsewhere for rest of season.

There’s only one other attraction closed ( I’m a celeb) so it’s not as bad as your making out

I bet that 30 min wait is down to other Qbot users joint the queue before their time is up. Some hosts seem to hold the whole queue up and wait for that persons Qbot / mobile to be scannable which is unfair on the others who have joined at the right time. And then of course you get others who don’t understand instead of waiting the 59min wait in the Qbot line you could be using those 59mins to queue up for something else and then come to Qbot ride when time is up.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4858716/Grandfather-paid-320-grandchildren-Legoland.html#article-4858716 Man not happy that he didn’t buy park entry tickets and thought buying Qbot got him into the park. What’s amusing is Legoland claim the 6 rides they did get on is more than most visitors get in a day, that’s what £570 gets you.
  12. Any sign of what the “world's first attraction” is / was that’s supposed to open this summer?

I guess this page is out of date (they have just launched the site) but it says VIP holders can do backstage and face it alone https://www.merlinannualpass.co.uk/vip/your-vip-handbook/thorpe-park-resort
  14. It wasn’t separated this morning, we were able to walk past the bag search queue entrance and walk directly up the left hand side and could access the toilets and turnstiles. Maybe someone had moved a fence panel but it did seem slightly easy to bypass the security checks. Edit it to add pic, red line was the route. Thanks
  15. Am I being dim or is the latest “Security Check” layout totally flawed. If you turn left to go up to the toilets you bypass all the checks and can go straight in via the turnstiles with no waiting at all.
  16. Though it is Daily Mail it’s good the hideous pricing is being picked up on in the press http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4806148/Merlin-charges-SEVEN-times-UK-sites.html
  17. Thorpe Park are following Towers by hosting a Exclusive VIP pass event
  18. I can understand the VIP holders wearing them as they apparently get offered random things but standard and premium only get discounts with them so not needed but then Merlin love people wearing them as they are spreading the brands and people love being in the club apparently
  19. https://en-gb.facebook.com/VIPmerlinannualpass/posts/868394383326057 Doesn’t seem to be going down well with “normal” passholders
  20. That’s the exact post...
  21. The post states it relates to Chessington. https://www.facebook.com/pg/VIPmerlinannualpass/posts/?ref=page_internal
  22. Actually depends on type of pass you have, standard / premium = no but VIP pass guaranteed entry all year round providing you’ve booked via the VIP booking site.
  23. It was previously restricted and you had to meet the criteria to be considered. These days as you say it’s anyone and everyone who can get in
  24. Really not good enough. Thorpe make big deal about new rides for kids, family decides to visit but then gets alienated due to rotation of rides. Family decides not to visit again. Hopefully it’s just a silly decision and removed for the holidays. If budgets are that tight then the whole question of why both new rides were brought in needs to be asked. One step forward two back
  25. Ringo replied to L7123456's topic in The Past
But it’s got you talking about Fright Nights...job done - these “”leaks” are just to build up the chatter inbetween the lull of no info and full info. Thorpe have form for “accidentally” posting things as a PR exercise
