Equally, how many people in that queue have ridden it before to know how awful it is? It's the same as spinball at towers, people queue because its so bloody visable and one of the first rides on park. Doesn't have good throughputs, and doesn't get great scores. It just is busy because of location pretty much.

The 'Definitely 100% Totally Going to Happen' London Resort
Fred replied to Liam T's topic in UK Attractions
Dark Rides. I want dark rides. That's if this place actually happens. -
They could do, but will be too late to do that now in the process. They don't need to resubmit any plans, as long as anything they build isn't gonna encroach treeline.
-
Ditto that comment - even if you're not that into the history, you'll soon realise you are. It is utterly fantastic to watch, got a good bit on pleasure beach as well!

Just to add to the justified reasons, seeing as I was the one who mentioned the awful immersive experience - Yes, the swarm is amazeballs, it is exactly what we want in a coaster and in a theme, even if it now looks like it's been put in entirely the wrong park (two immersive rides, albeit one littered with advertising now, in a park full of styled stuff). However, if you're gonna just blast the entire theme and immersion to put Nintendo adverts around the place, don't expect not to be criticised . To be fair, with ride downtime.. there's only so much that can be just shrugged off as not the parks fault, however there must be a problem with the engineering dept, whether its budgets, its lack of ability to conduct preventative maintenance, or they have awful timetables with their maintenance enabling the rides to run at reduced capacity, affecting guests. Something which needs to be continually pointed out, if it continually happens, to ensure that someone tries to sort it. Same goes with new rides, it depends on how you deal with the original faults as to how the park moves forwards.

Hiding slammers signage made sense though, as its out of the way and not having signage means people won't walk up to it to find its shut. Samurai, on the other hand, is staring straight at you when you're walking past Colossus/saw/noodle bar... so there's no point in removing said signage.

Can I change my username to Hot-Stuff?
-
So they gain product knowledge so they can inform the guests should they ask/mention about accomodation? Pretty normal if you ask me? Thorpe doing something right for a change?
-
Well, in all recent installations, adverts don't appear on queueline tvs.. they're something they're pretty much stuck with from the Tussauds era - and at least they don't have sound on them anymore. Apart from thorpe, but that's because thorpe is bloody useless at anything nearing immersive experiences.
-
With merlin being obsessed with queueline tvs to engage audience and add extra stories, I really hope SW7 has stuff about ministry of joy etc..
-
Doubt SW7 will be named during scarefest, they usually leave naming until the winter period.
-
Reminds me of that minute long video they played in towers street monorail in February 2011.
-
I miss being able to see the queueline easily, and realising it was a good half hour. Screw you plants.
-
Media policy! I'll have you if it doesn't open, you know that?
-
Clocks go back the first weekend of their halloween event, so it'll be dark by 530ish most of the event. There'll be an entire one ride or so of night time riding (sounds so similar to my visit to oakwood a couple of weeks back!).
-
Has the queueline got audio again?

When visiting, I realised... the entire launch way has huge fencing either side underneath the launch track - the only bits guests physically go under it is near the station and the tyre entrance, both are covered appropriately. The only part of the launch not covered is the section to sunken garden, which is fenced off. Rita on the other hand, has nothing like this whatsoever.

Shouldn't have to be vouchers which can be related to benefits, but more like Morrisons Gift Vouchers or something similar? I dislike that everyone is scared to offend/upset a very very tiny minority to stop the majority abusing the system. Same with everything in walks of life, any other country and this wouldn't happen. Least we have a benefits system.

Love Chessington, absolutely adore the place. Being able to just stay on fury countless times, on a friday, and being able to just relax and have fun is fantastic. Monkey Swinger 5 times, my friends found their new favourite ride! Yes, the place is falling apart a bit, but hopefully they'll get those areas sorted eventually. The Zufari is coming along thick and fast and that has high prospects. I think staying in the hotel also completely changes your feelings about the place. The ride opening is awful though, even though there's no guests it is a bit messed up (some rides opening at 11, some at midday, HPH at 1pm.. Tomb Blaster shown at entrance to be open 10-5, bit weird considering thats the parks opening hours). Really have to concentrate on staying in a particular area until the others open to not get distracted. Both Rameses and Dragon Falls were shown as not operating at the entrance, however the park had full availability yesterday.

I like seeing peoples first visits to a new park - OMGWTFBBQ that park is amazing/cant do no wrong/10 out of 10 for coasters/best thing about it is its size. We need to get Liam on park often, then see how his reports change
-
Does he? He had a seat saved and he was on it continually when I visited. Edit: Someone beat me to it, damn!
-
Wow. They need to really sort out fastrack operations on days like this. Towers is selling fastrack on these days, however they're selling no screams (Nemesis, Oblivion and Air packages), so you can only buy seperate rides. Air has 16 allocated per hour, for example. It's a disgrace that thorpe doesn't communicate or act in anyones benefit over this.

How Many Times Have You Been To Thorpe Park This Year
Fred replied to Emma1980's question in Quick Questions
Today is my... fourth visit this year. Compared to a massive zero last year, this is bordering on ridiculous. -
Have they not made any changes then, unlike rita which has a temporary tunnel and cannot queue under launch track, until they make a permenant structure this winter?
-
Yay construction at chessington! This has been.. well.. ages. Liking the rocks. If only they could blast deep down with explosives, could get some mighty rocks to decorate your entire park, and maybe find a good ride in the process.
