  1. Never say that until you've ridden more then one of the 2012 lot. Shambhala looks class though, nice length.
  2. Happy 20th Birthday to the worlds first B&M inverted rollercoaster.
  3. Thanks to Port Aventuras official website.

    Car Parking

Can you not tell I'm jesting you in case TPGG decides I'm being unnecessarily rude again. To be honest, when they introduced the charge, It was obvious they were just going to raise it by a pound every year. So whereas if they had just thrown it at £4 straight away, people would be up in arms, by raising it a little at a time it seems reasonable. When comparing it to say European theme park car park charges or Football, it seems okay, it's obvious to me that it shall continue to rise for the next few seasons..

When you compare it to going to the moon, it is also reasonable. #pointlesscomparisons (Love you Marc)
  6. Thanks to theme Park Review. That is one fit looking rollercoaster

    Legoland

Just shows you that Chessington is the best UK park don't it.
  9. It looks excellent. What it looks in physical elements it makes up for in a very well designed layout. I liked the guys frankness, people are too quick to call things slow on the internet based on a POV. XFlight looks brill.

This little 33% increase you mean. Wasn't it £2 at the end of last year? So it's actually risen by 100% in less then a year?
  11. According to people who work at the park, gate figures are clocking in around the 250-750 mark. Which to put into perspective is, if everyone went and rode Dragon Falls first thing, would only equate to a 30/45 minute queue. The thing is right, at the beginning of the year when Alton were saying they were going to close an hour earlier, people were rightly up in arms about the opening hours and one of the things suggested was closing Chessington completely because its gate figures equate to essentially nothing, barely breaking even and having masses of rides just sitting there waiting for people to arrive. It has been like this for years, I can remember sitting at Dragons Fury and having the first rider turn up at the ride at 10:30m, half an hour after park opening (the ride then broke down with the car stuck at the top of the lift, whey!). My worry will always be, if closing Mystic East and WIld Asia doesn't cut out enough money then whats next? Close Forbidden Kingdom and Mexicana until 12? Make Truckers/Carousel and Sea Dragons/Griffins dual operator? It's not beyond them because they did this consistently in 2007.
  12. Okay, despite the fact I initially thought this was a really ugly coaster, I think in testing it looks brilliant. Full of speed and air time and the colours don't look so gaudy now that it's got a train rushing round it. Good job Intamin.
  13. Thanks to Facebook. Sky Rush is go go go!
  14. I do wonder why the park even opens at this time of year.
  15. Ah. now we're truely back in the old days of Tussauds. All we need is duel operator on Trucks/Carousel and Griffins/Sea Dragons and it will be 2007 all over again.
  16. Nice. All it would need to do to better iSpeed is to have similar restraints to Skyrush and then it would be amazing.
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4v6Vegk8Ud8&feature=player_embedded Seriously can't believe that the park that gave us Katun and iSpeed have followed up with this embarressingly bad looking ride. Especially as they already have a hopkins splash ride in the park this just looks shocking.
  18. Looks okay to me, probably because its bathed in light that it looks a bit dire.

I was just using it to show that Merlin do theme their B&M's. Funny you say that actually, I was talking to Marc about this on facebook and we both said how unthemed it looks compared to the others.

Ignoring TPGG's ridiculous post for a second, I'm just pointing out to you Marc that I was actually kidding. The tounge in cheek nature of my post was just aimed at the fact that Gerstlauer seemed to have attained this reputation of being cheap, which they aren't. Yes they are cheaper then a B&M, but then Gerstlauer are more like Volkswagons in terms of the product. Besides, as rides like Storm Surge has proven, cheapness doesn't automatically mean there is a higher budget for theming.
