  1. As has been pointed out, Saw opened on a warm Saturday and it's queue's were impacted by Stealth, Slammer, Rumba and Loggers all being closed . Unless Thorpe cock it up royally, most rides should be ready to go.For reference, Stealth opened in 2006 on a Wednesday, with one train and its maximum queue length was about 15 minutes.
  2. It won't get even a 2 hour queue on opening day. I say that because as long as it opens on time and has both trains going, I'd say a maximum of an hour wait.. if that.
  3. It's amazing how many operator error deaths happen on Intamin rides and yet you rarely hear of operator error deaths on Mack or Gerstlauer rides. It's almost like Intamin are just very unlucky or something
  4. Bless those people. Sure Storm Surge is the closest thing to unrivalled crap at Thorpe, but it's so easily ignored as a ride it's barely worth talking about.

    Music

That's good but was there any music?
  6. Reminds me of Cheetah Hunts tree figure of eight but, you know, actually exciting and visually interesting.
  7. I seem to remember you not letting me have an outside seat on one or two of our rides, Mr outer seat hogger you.
  8. Thing is though, according to movie world, if a plane crashes, I expect it to blow up and be burnt. If a creature rips a roof of a building, it doesn't automatically set itself on fire. Thorpe's story for The Swarm will allow itself certain rules and considering how beautifully church like that station is (It's genuinely the best station floor I've ever seen), I don't mind if it looks this way.
  9. The flooring, the colours of the fences.I'm running out of nice things to say about this coaster.
  10. Love the way that Marc just stood there and let you knock him over.
  11. Ah I like this idea then. I went to the ZSL Midnight disco last year and it was a lot of fun getting drunk at the zoo with only other adults around. Whilst alcohol and rides sound like a bad idea (and is actually against the parks own rules), I've been to a lot of funfairs, particularly a German one at Oktoberfest which was a lot of fun. Makes sense for Thorpe to go down that tangent, to experiment a bit more with their target audiences.
  12. I'm not dissecting, I'm just going to throw a few things out there in regard to whats being said.Point A. I'd be intrigued by the Easter and Summer events. Hopefully they aren't more BMX'ers racing around a ball and are actually something a bit different. I feel the arena is under-used though, opening it for about 10 weeks a year doesn't really represent a good use of a space that is in the dead centre of the park.Point B and kind of C. Thats fine, in fact the majority of posters don't mind the music across the entrance and the bridge because the park advertises itself as a matey, we're pikeys and hang out in the park all night' kind of thing. It's the playing in Neptunes Kingdom and Flying Fish which is a bit fishy because they are the two areas that really don't key up with Kiss FM. I know you aren't going to be giving away any details about what the park has planned. But again, I'm intrigued.Point D. What did Chessington do to please enthusiasts?
  13. Wing-Riders have old style locking systems with the Air style vests. Gives you an essence of freedom and it isn't overly complicated.
  14. Post from the past reply. I love Manta. So beautiful and lovely. That queueline.
  15. What Topshop are you going into Pluk? All mine play music that even I would call obscure. Oh Tpkabz. Where do I start. For instance, the 900 seat arena which is rarely used or the view from the turnstiles which equates to just about seeing Vortex swinging through the metal barriers or how about sun scream which is about as effective as a snow plough in the Sahara desert.
  16. So anyone at Disney for this years leap day? The park plans to open for 24 hours. So much Disney.

    Troubleshooting

Not sure why, but it is now unlocked for your posting pleasure
  18. There will be downtime in its first few days, but the park will probably be expecting this as generally when a rides new it will have a few minor issues. Unless Thorpe have shovelled out money to ride operators, flown them all to Gardaland and got them trained on Raptor, then for most, The Swarm will be completely brand new. But that's okay, Inferno had a few small issues in its first few days of operation. Hence why it is a very good move for Thorpe to be opening on a weekday. Saw was a catastrophic mistake and the park is being very wise.
