  1. First time you made the "we deserve special treatment" comment it was kinda funny, now it just seems smug. And the reasons you listed are exactly the reasons the parks added the ride access pass in the first place. The old system was ridiculous with disabled riders waltzing onto every single ride, getting ride counts into the 40's whilst the guests in the queue line were lucky to get on 5 rides in the whole day because the disabled guests and their carers didn't know when to stop...I do agree however that Zodiac should be taken off the list. Seems an odd choice ride to put on there anyway. What rides are on the card out of interest..

Pfft, whatever Jack, you are the past and you know it. As the winner of the best admin/mod of 2010 I wish him the best of luck and hope he enjoys the power of the banhammer.

As the mods/admins don't seem to be able to organize this, shall we have a chat session on Monday evenings at say 7?
  4. I think thats one of your best posts Outfit. Chessington is stupidly under-rated and such a fantastic place to visit.
  5. 14 hours for staff..So assuming the staff can get to work on time and that the rides are all running and ready to go and that the enginners don't mind starting at 2 in the morning, thats a fantabulous idea. I'm sure Merlin wouldn't mind throwing money straight in the bin.
  6. Judging by target audience them, only idiots and traveller teenagers should go to Thorpe.
  7. Marc really isn't the right person to call on anything these days.
  8. Who said your wrong exactly? You can have that opinion but the idea of going somewhere and just riding rides all day is actually quite horrific... Do you not attempt to take in the atmosphere of a place, enjoy the themes, take a wonder.I don't know if you've been to Alton but the gardens there are spectactular and the truth is, without those wonderful gardens Alton Towers might not even exist. So yes you may like to stomp from ride to ride (which is tedious) but most people like to take a break in their day and actually explore their surroundings..
  9. See this is the thing. I doubt Wild Asia's budget for the rest of its theming was 'big' as you put it. What they did is use the money well and emphasised certain parts such as the trollies, and the shop facades. Kobra itself isn't exactly themed amazingly but what Wild Asia has is a consistent style. I think the same of Mutiny Bay, in particular Battle Galleons which if you actually go through the queue line is fantastically themed, easily Merlin's best UK effort. What I'm concerned with on Krake is that all the imagary and desciption of the ride is hugely themed detail. The car goes into the mouth of the Kraken, then emerging through a pirate ship as it goes into the immelman. With Krake, if there's any moments like Saw or Th13teen where it drifts for a while through trees or wanders aimlessly towards the end then for me, the ride loses its appeal. As Heide have sold this as a big story event, if it fails to deliver in any area, I'll personally be dissapointed as when they announced it last year, the imagary they conjured up was fantastic.

    Video Games.

Currently playing Crash bandicoot 3 and Pokemon Gold/SilverI don't own a Wii, PS3 or Xbox 360 so I'm relying on older games. And none of them have guns in (unless you count Crash's applezooka) They don't make games like they used to
  11. Me neither, always loved TTF for the discussion on parks that aren't Merlin ones.Welcome people to TPM.
  12. Hmm.. Actually feeling a bit less impressed with Krake now. KRAKE (and its short layoutNot that the project has no merit just with the layout being so incredibly short, a hell of a lot is now riding on the theming. And with Merlin it can either be outstanding (Wild Asia) or to basic (Saw/Th13teen).I'm hoping they pull out the stops on this.
  13. I love the colour scheme of Cheetah Hunt but that is ugly as sin. Happens straight after the station launch and looks hideous...And finally anotehr B&M has sprung up, this time 'Hair Riser' in China.
  14. God, thats unbelievably closed minded. I'd recommend never going to Alton Towers (or any other theme park in the Uk or Europe) hun, your world may be rocked..
  15. Oh absolutely, he was very funny. And just like Fawlty Towers it was best the Admin team killed the humour while it was good, instead of descending into 'My family' levels of boredom and tediousness. Garry Williams will remain a legend for the rest of time.As for Hex, I'm going to stand by my guns here... I think it truely was the best ride Tussauds ever added to any of its parks. Even now, and even knowing that the ride itself isn't in the towers, I can never tell when you leave the towers and enter a metal box. The transitioin is seemless and the attraction itself is fantastic. It's only negative is in the batching area where the speech starts, there's no warning so people either talk through it or ignore it.
  16. So its decided. 100 photographers all photoing Rich skating.Fantastic.
  17. I'm tempted to come now, but I won't be skating. I'll be official photographer if I do go.
  18. Fury:- "lol who needs a transfer track anyway"

    Slammer

You seem to be stalking a banned troll.
  21. I don't think it does and whilst Merlin is a big company its the European side that are getting the good stuff this year. They still seem stuck on what to actually do with Chessington tbh.
