I genuinely think this looks like a poor mans Starry Eyed Ripper. That coaster is a revelation whereas this one could do a lot more considering its size and length.

Late reply. Isn't this because the difference Thorpe busy and say, Alton busy are very different scales. Thorpe just copes very badly with busy days particularly with quite a lot of breakdowns and ride closures and with its relatively small size even the quieter rides like Quantum have long queues. Alton just doesn't have this problem.

It's easily done what with their one train operations and hour long queues..

Unfortunately some of us can't just fly off somewhere on a whim. When I went was the most appropriate time for my partner and I to go. Doesn't make us inefficient planners, particularly when two of the rides weren't scheduled to be closed when we initially booked the trip.

California Disney always has far more rides closed then Paris or Florida. During my time there, Pirates, it's a small World, Alice in Wonderland, Nemo and Friends and Grizzly were all closed. This is only being reported because of the massive Star Wars investment and the fact that Fantastmic won't be on for a year.

I feel like you're looking for things to complain about frankly. If the media decide to say it's a new rollercoaster then that isn't Alton Towers problem and frankly Galatica for all intents and purposes will be completely unique and different to Air. Before I did VR on Alpen Express I was extremely cynical but I came off of that very happy and satisfied with the experience. It breathed new life into an old ride. The public are still hooked on the Smiler crash, for the majority Galatica will be a new experience. And that is all that matters and what Galatica will be sold on. Why do you worry about what the public think. Worry about what you think more then disliking how its been reported.

Pegasus is getting VR this season. Woo, I hope the implementation (word of the day) is as good as Alpen Express's. Europa have made the right move, putting the VR on the quieter coasters.

I'm more concerned about the implementation then the VR itself. If I want to ride Air without it then how does that work if the headsets are mounted to the crafts themselves. If that means that two trains will have them installed and one doesn't, what happens on quiet days when only two trains are in use. Will one station be VR, the other without and if thats the case, what happens on quiet days when only one station is in use? Or will Towers be forced to always run both stations which means that budget cuts will kill other rides instead. VR has destroyed the throughput on Alpen Express at Europa, so I'm really intrigued as to what its going to do at Towers.

Hilarious. Any other nuggets on there like Fury and Rattlesnake only running even numbered cars during off peak season? Rameses will be going the way of Ripsaw come the end of the season, mark my words.
