Yeah makes sense, definitely seems like they're trying to reduce the amount of launches for one reason or another

its a interesting quirk of Stealth and a few other coasters like it.

The magnetic brake fins have a couple of brake pads on them so in the event of a rollback the train will stop on the launch track so the train can advance the moment the launch fins are up rather than once the train has cleared the top hat which allows for the ride to operate as quickly as possible.

Stealth had a couple of hiccups yesterday but was generally on very good form, and with the extended hours.

For this strange period of Fright Nights, and only after twilight, there is an additional smoke effect on Stealth above the plant room, and it has coloured lights. The best observation is from the front row, as nobody at the station can see it, and those in other rows are somewhat shielded by the seating.

I love that they've gone through the effort of adding that, timed with the launch.

Smoke effects add so much during fright nights. I quite like the one they've added on Colossus earlier in the season too.

Watching SWARM running round wih the led's on still makes me wish Stealth's headlights were real !

Having seen all their lighting always made me imagine stealth with at least some lights.

having said all that, Stealth often has a start light bulb out so, realistically, they would never cope.

The 12pm openings seem to have been scrapped.

Opened at 10am yesterday, and the message has now been removed from the availability page.

Sadly, engineers were working with Stealth today, after apparently, again replacing the cable on Wednesday. They could not open the ride all day.

Interesting they needed to do a cable replacement so close to end of season. That'll be why they're not having to open it later on now

Was running fine pretty much all day yesterday just a few short shutdowns. It did seem to really struggle on the last corner into the offload and was making quite a loud squeaking noise.

That squeaking noise was under discussion yesterday. There was a problem with a drive wheel at the loading platform. So hopeful that they sort things as I may only get one more visit this season.

Yeah, was certainly noticeable. Really struggling on that final corner.

Planned to be closed all day today too according to the app.

That's quite interesting. People were saying they could hear the screeching over the music in the plaza. I initially thought it was one of the trains that was the issue but today all the trains are in shed and stayed there.

We shall have to wait with baited breath, the engineers don't give much away.

Absolutely, hopefully it's nothing too serious and she will be back up and running soon. I have checked the website and Stealth hasn't been updated as unavailable and no planned closures either

Stealth is on the app as delayed opening today. Let's hope she opens.

Looks like things aren't looking good for Stealth. Last tested on Friday and nothing since. Perhaps the bad weather isn't helping the situation as I know they don't like to operate it in the rain

Obtained this image from somebody that's helped me. They have corded off the area by the crest and the launch bunker doors are open. This certainly doesn't look good.

Seriously? That's not good news considering last weeks replacement, and I 've recently been praising it up with suggestions that we still have a few years. Cable replacement is expensive, and they have be made.

I'm more concerned it's not just a cable replacement. Perhaps they've had to remove the cable to get to broken parts or investigate the issue further to see what is broken. If that's the case then I suspect they won't have any any spares to hand so they will have to order parts in.

However nothing has been put on the Thorpe Park website regarding any unplanned closures or even marked unavailable either so it's a crystal ball to whether this is a serious prolonged closure or it's something they can fix fairly quickly.
