March 27, 201114 yr comment_111892 Did anyone visit today? If yes, is Stealth closed (iPhone App says closed, Website has no mention of it being closed, only Samurai)
March 27, 201114 yr comment_111893 It was shut early on but opened late.Samurai still down, Inferno had problems, Tidal Wave got stuck and Surge had a few problems. 5 boats on the lift...
March 27, 201114 yr comment_111905 It was shut early on but opened late.Samurai still down, Inferno had problems, Tidal Wave got stuck and Surge had a few problems. 5 boats on the lift... Ta, fingers crossed they will all be working by the 4th! Although Samurai looks doubtful
March 28, 201114 yr comment_111922 Inferno / Tidal / Storm surge should all be fine, Samurai is being worked on too.
March 29, 201114 yr comment_111995 Went yesterday, everything is working other than Samurai.I think Stealth was having problems early on as it was only launching every 10 minutes for the first couple of hours (despite a 30 minute queue).. then normal service resumed.
April 13, 201114 yr comment_113260 yesterday saw alive was closed for obvious reasons :-)Slammer down all daySamurai down half the daywas abit gutted to be honestalong with vortex's issues and storm surge pond dipping (be advised with storm surge prepare old shoes) we were told to sit in a boat almost knee deep in water wasnt impressed it was above the seats going up the lift hill felt sorry for my mate who got a nice bum wash with that.
April 14, 201114 yr comment_113272 I am REALLY surprised they haven't got someone draining the boats constantly. Though I don't know the loading procedure, but surely they have time to remove at least a little bit of water from each boat?
April 14, 201114 yr comment_113281 What happened to the water vacuums people said hadn't arrived in time for AP day?
April 14, 201114 yr comment_113290 ^ Well then they need to sort something out because I didn't get wet at all on Storm Surge other than completely sodden feet... Not nice at all.
April 14, 201114 yr comment_113302 Its probably been worked out its just as quick to tip the boat..So they're choosing their own convenience over guest comfort? And you all wonder why people slam Thorpe so much.
April 14, 201114 yr comment_113304 So they're choosing their own convenience over guest comfort? And you all wonder why people slam Thorpe so much. Those hoovers are useless to be honest. It would take about 20 minutes to clean Sea Dragons with those sodding hoovers so in all honesty I'm not surprised they've gone for tipping the boats instead.
April 14, 201114 yr comment_113306 Why not have a plug hole in the bottom of the boats you can like open and let all the water out... Seems sensible...
April 14, 201114 yr comment_113307 So they're choosing their own convenience over guest comfort? And you all wonder why people slam Thorpe so much. Err... Their own convenience? You do realise that the longer they spend hovering boats the longer the queue would not move... So id say the quickest soloution is in the intrest of the guests just as much as the staff..
April 14, 201114 yr comment_113308 Why not have a plug hole in the bottom of the boats you can like open and let all the water out... Seems sensible...The undesiables may notice the plug during the ride and decide to open it when the boats floating back to the station. It would be a 21st century version of the Titanic.

April 14, 201114 yr comment_113313 Err... Their own convenience? You do realise that the longer they spend hovering boats the longer the queue would not move... So id say the quickest soloution is in the intrest of the guests just as much as the staff..Well to be fair, your wording was 'its just as quick to tip the boat'. Honestly, I would have no idea how this hoover system would work exactly but from your post all I know about it is that it takes the same amount of time as tipping it out. Mark9 has already corrected me but you are giving me totally different information here...
April 14, 201114 yr comment_113314 I'd rather wait that extra 10 minutes and not be sitting in a boat full of water to be honestBut they are getting rid of the water if they're tipping the boats.. are they not doing that anymore?
April 14, 201114 yr comment_113315 But they are getting rid of the water if they're tipping the boats.. are they not doing that anymore?Yes they are when they need doing. And dan my bad, id say its much quicker to tip them, the hover would need them to dismantle the boats, hover out and put them back togeather, tipping is a simple tip over and put the bits back in.
April 14, 201114 yr comment_113317 I only ever saw them tip the boats on AP day..I've got in a boat full of water and it wasn't nice
April 14, 201114 yr comment_113324 They were tipping them when I was last there on sunday too, they are tipped less often than they were on AP day though
April 14, 201114 yr comment_113326 The undesiables may notice the plug during the ride and decide to open it when the boats floating back to the station. It would be a 21st century version of the Titanic. Well if it's undesirables doing it, then I see no problem with letting them drown
