Has Anyone Had A Close Shave?

Matty22

Question

I went on the 20th July and was looking up at detonator taking a picture , then about 2m from me a man's coins flew out of his pocket and almost hit me on the head.(from the nemmie lift hill) I wondered whether I should tell anyone but didn't, and I got 2p out of it as well.I just wondered if anyone had experienced something like this

I went on Sunday and on Samurai a coin flew past my face just as we were rolling down the trees, I was pretty scared! took me a while to realise what it was, but after the ride my friend goes-'did you see that coin fall out that guys pocket?'So yeah, thats pretty much what happened on Sunday, apart from now the new queue board system is f****d up and we only just got our 21 ride count, which was lucky considering we were guessing all the queue times pretty much all day long.

On Slammer a few weeks ago, we had just started "Slamming" and an assault of coins dropped from in front towards me and my friend on the back row, could have been much worse if it had happened further on in the cycle. A few almost hit me in the eye/face. Worrying/annoying how people just don't think, Coins are a pretty obvious one I would have thought that you NEED to take out your pocket.

I had a fly in my eye once, but it wasn't on a ride... I think we were walking towards Rush. In 2006 I remember seeing a phone go flying from Stealth, nowhere near me but still made me fear for my life for a split second.Countless times I have had my man plums pulverised by the restraints on Colossus, not to mention leg cramp!! :) , as well as seeing many phones, shoes etc falling from it.It is also allot of fun to play "count the phones on the floor" while on Slammer :o

^^HAHAHAHAAA :o My brother lost a few pound coins on Vortex when the ride had finished, we were running around the platform trying to find them. We found three and some guy started to help us.And on X I was hit in the face by something. But it stunk! :)

My dad lost £10's worth of £1 coins on Stealth. Was really funny as the coins followed the train (just sorta floated) up to the top and then just dropped! Some of them showered the queue too!I've also had confetti released on Stealth while on the decent. Fun being in a cloud of paper. Also someone on the front let go of their phone and a person near the back of the train caught it. That was amusing. As for a really close shave. I was on Rush swing B and leaning on that fence 20 mins before the giant washer fell off on May 27th 2008. I feel lucky...

Last year I saw a pack of chavs hanging around near the Colossus inline twists, when the train went past they started launching stones or something at the riders :) Some bloke that had been standing across the path ran over and gave them a right ear bashing and a sort of mini-fight broke out (well it was more of a one way thing with one man taking on 3 spoiled little sh*ts) someone else came over and joined in. After a bit of pushing and shoving the 3 idiots soon scurried away. Didn't see the little brats for the rest of the day :o And I've also been standing in the Detonator queue when a half empty coke bottle plunged in to the bushes about 3 feet away! :o

What idiots!...they could've broken Colossus! But seriously, that is so stupid, I hate chavs with a passion. I had a pack of them behind me in the Saw stairwell. They were swearing at the shotgun whenever it went off and when the video started they were like "f*ck you Jigsaw! you little b*tch!" etc. The member of staff dealt with it well though, he just told them to watch their language or they would be escorted from the queue-line....scum of the earth.

The worst place for chavs is the indoor queue for X:\NWO. For some reason they get all excited and rowdy when they are put together in a dark damp smelly area. And if 2 herds come in to contact then god help anyone else in the queue line. They start emitting some strange sounds at an incredible volume, words that aren't strictly words, 'brap' for instance. I mean what on god's earth is 'brap' supposed to mean? Some sort of mating call perhaps? I wouldn't mind if they kept their pre-riding rituals to themselves, but their blatant disregard for any other human being means that anyone standing near them has to put up with their poor behaviour and ridiculous language until they reach the font of the queue, and even then they risk being on the same train as them. And don't get me started on the flaming queue jumpers.
