zalittleguy
What do you guys think is the best coaster of each of these types? Inverted coaster Suspended coaster Water ride stand up coaster Flying coaster floorless coaster Eurofighter coaster giga/mega coaster Any type of launched coaster Wing rider coaster Drop tower Any sort of boomerang coaster Woodan coaster Your favorite type of coaster I'm just interested on which rides will score high, and which rides will not. I would probably go with: Oz'lris Big bad wolf Pilgrim's plunge Riddler's revenge Tatsu Kracken Takabisha Millenium force Formula rossa Gatekeeper Lex luthor Aftershock El toro Wooden, eurofighter, and wing rider. TPJames
Inverted- Nemesis, alton towers Suspended-vampire, chessington(only one I've been on) Water ride- Valhalla,Blackpool Stand up, shockwave, Drayton manor Flying- manta, seaworld Orlando Floor less,Kraken, seaworld orlando(only one I've been on) Eurofighter- saw the ride+the curse of Novgorod(I love them both but Novgorod is kinda a copy of saw with the speaking puppet inside the building!) Giga- big one, blackpool(only one I've been on) Launch-stealth, thorpe park Wingrider- the swarm, thorpe park Drop tower- detonator, thorpe park(the most intense drop tower I have been on however I was tempted to put scream, heide park up there!) Boomerang- the boomerang at freziet park, giezelwind(only one I've ridden) Wooden- Colossus, heide park To be honest I haven't really been on the big coasters out of Europe so this is just out of what I've been on and that's not particularly much
Benin
Eurofighter- saw the ride+the curse of Novgorod(I love them both but Novgorod is kinda a copy of saw with the speaking puppet inside the building!) It is a copy, aside from the launch, indoor lift hill, theme, layout, etc... Fluch is nowhere near the awfulness of Saw... Funny how they opened the same year too... Benin
I know there are some weirdos people who like Saw... But my thing was more saying that they were a copy... Indoor drop aside (which is also on Mystery Mine, so they both copied that one), there is very little to no similarity between the two... Least you can actually hear the ghost/animatronics on Fluch eh? Sidders
TPJames
Least you can actually hear the ghost/animatronics on Fluch eh? I suppose on fluch it is louder but I can hear the sound in saw perfectly well! Also fluch's sound is in German so it is harder to understand
A-Kid
Of what I have ridden: â– Inverted coaster (Raptor, Nemesis, Inferno, Sliver Bullet, Batman): Nemesis â– Suspended coaster (Draggin' Iron, Vampire, Ninja) : Ninja â– Water ride (Loads) : Splash Mountain â– Stand up coaster (Mantits, Riddler, Shockwave) : Riddler's Revenge â– Flying coaster (Tatsu, Air) : Tatsu, though being bigger didn't particularly add anything other than on the Pretzel. Good ride though. â– Floorless coaster : I have only Scream. It wasn't anything that great. â– Eurofighter coaster (Speed, Rage, Sore): Rage â– Giga/mega coaster (Silver Star, Magnum, MilF, Pepsi Max) : MilF â– Any type of launched coaster (Rita, Dragster, Blue Fire, Maverick, WT, Stealth, Pony, Montezooma's Revenge, etc) : Maverick â– Wing rider coaster : Swarm â– Drop tower: Tower of Terror > Every other. â– Any sort of boomerang coaster : That boomerang at Knotts. â– Woodan coaster (Ravine Flyer 2, Apocalypse, Wodan, Megafobia, Ghostrider, Mean/Blue Streak, Blackpool lot etc) : Ravine Flyer 2/Wodan. â– Your favorite type of coaster : Intamin Sitdowns with T-Bars or Wood. pluk
Inverted coaster - Nemesis, maybe OzIris if you ask me another day. Suspended coaster - Would be original Vampire, but as it doesn't exist any more - Ninja. Water ride - Valhalla, or Bilge Rat Barges for an out and out water ride. stand up coaster - Riddlers Revenge, as far as I remember I've only ridden that and ShockWave. Flying coaster - Air, a much better feeling than the bigger boys. Floorless coaster - Kraken, followed by 'the ultimate carpark coaster' at 6FMM which would be a lot better if it wasn't for its setting. Eurofighter coaster - Saw, I'm sure many others are better though, and SW7 should be too. Also love Rage, underrated due to location. giga/mega coaster - Goliath, for the greying out. Any type of launched coaster - Stealth, clearly because I haven't ridden the big boys. Xcelerator might be better but it doesn't stick out in my mind for some reason Wing rider coaster - Might be a cheat, but X2. The swarm is the only other I've ridden, Gatekeeper looks like it will be the best. Drop tower - Detenator for the actual drop, Apocalypse for the variety, Supreme Scream for sheer height and fun. Can't choose. Any sort of boomerang coaster - DeJaVu, but I pretty much hate boomerangs. Woodan coaster - Zeus Your favorite type of coaster - Woodan

No one apart from Alton themselves in the planning document noise report.... the same type and manufacturer as SAW - The Ride at Thorpe Park. It might be a new version of a Eurofighter, but it is a Eurofighter!
