General Theme Park Discussion

  1. Are other British Theme Parks going down the drain?Alton: The place is supposed to be number 1 and they cant even get half the things they want right. The Flume, Enterprise and Submission are crap, Gloomy Wood and Katanga Canyon haven't seen development in ages. Adventure Land is crap and UG Land have major theme clashes. Oblivion, Nemesis and AIR are the only things they got right.I love Alton Towers, so this is heartbreaking that they had effin locals being so damn out of order - don't they realise that they are keeping the local town from going bust.Other Merlin Parks:CWoA: No new ride or coaster since 2004 - 6 years (assuming 2010 is our year) But I love the 2009 deve…

Well heres a place to discuss the wonderful fairs we have!Earlier this evening was at a fair, didnt have that much but 2 rides stood out, firstly the orbiter was a totally amazing very fun and very forcfull! But secondly a Fabbri Top Spin, I thought this totaly amazing, especially compared to ripsaw/ramesis! Whist the fabbri one is smaller it is alot more comfortable and intense, I can honestly say for 99% of the ride I was not touching the seat, totally awesome!

I was thinking of all the rides I've been on in the last year... and thought I'd put them in an easy to read list... you can do the same if you wish. 1.Nemesis (1994)- Probably the biggest and most successful rollercoaster we will ever see in this country. It defies description and following the B&M rule its the fastest its ever been, cutting through its pit in less then 60 seconds. If you think Inferno is a decent ride, I hope you go to Alton to be blown away. A true raw adrenaline experience. 2.Dragons Fury (2004) Ten years later Tussauds struck gold with this Maurer Sohne spinning coaster. Despite troubles with reliability this is a proper family coaster prov…

A fire on an Enterprise last Friday, the same version as Zodiac. A video is underneath, but I really reccomend you to think through watching the video, as it is extremly distressing.

I vote For Rita as it provides the best launch and good airtime, although RNRC has some great inversions.
