If this whole Mr Clappy thing isn’t just one massive red herring, then a haunted toyshop type maze could work quite well with this flooring. Although like you say an exterior doesn’t make or break a maze, if they do opt for a toyshop type maze, it’s gonna look hella tacky if it looks like a tent from the outside. Lots of these small scare parks opt for this type of thing (because they simply can’t afford anything better) and it looks exactly as you’d expect… cheap and nasty. The Big Top worked as a tent because… well… it was supposed to be a circus. Who knows! Don’t have massively high hopes right now, but to be fair there’s zero theming in yet so I’m not gonna be a pessimist and I’m remaining hopeful that this could be good! I’d much rather this than nothing new to be fair, so props to Thorpe for taking a risk!

I’d like to compare the size of it to other Thorpe Park mazes such as Trailers and Survival Games. It just doesn’t look that big. I might be wrong but this looks the same size as the old picnic cover tent from 2021. I hope they stick to a theme which that they can theme well, this will be the first maze in a four years that they’ve built but will have to take down again (and even then the previous mazes were shipping containers which stay intact.) I don’t know if the quality is actually going to be there and I want them to stray away from futuristic which means they can keep everything plain 😂 A tent like this looks really low budget too for a multi million pound company.

That is sad that they can’t have the chainsaws in the maze however I still think it would give Trailers a bit more longevity to include other mazes and make it less repetitive. I have done it once every year it’s been at the park and it is getting a bit stale. Would love to see it after the big top themed room so the transition between scenes is so striking. Or maybe it could replace the Hell Cell room as I feel like that’s one of the weaker ones.

I would love them to maybe add a Creek Freak Massacre room to Trailers now that the maze has left the park. Would be a nice nod to all the fans of the maze especially as it’s definitely not returning.
