True, but 10 years on that level of investment seems to continue at Thorpe with LC12 round the corner, a hotel and no doubt another coaster just after that.I'm sure the next few years will be interesting for both thats for sure..

When you consider how quickly THORPE PARK has caught up in such a short space of time, along with the actual physical size and capacity's of the parks, its not really that impressive is it surely? But then its not all about gate figures..I'm on the fence with this one, for me, over the past couple of years altons lost its "magic" for me, the place has the same flaws which you see at any merlin theme park, and like the others look past them its possible to have a decent day out.

Aslong as they keep it to the right areas its fine, At the mo the chart musics on the beach, entrance and dome, that seems fine with me personally.

Stealth / Storm Surge opened yesterday and stayed open later than the rest of the park because of them opening late, Colossus opened today.

Saw the Ride will be around for a very long time yet. This isn't a sponsorship say like Tidal's and what not.

Surely its more the case of how much the advertising company is willing to pay rather than if Merlin want to do it subtlety or not.. I'm guessing the more they pay the more in your face they will have it..

I think the one in America has had a load more problems than Slammer ever has, I dont think it will go any time soon personally, theyve spent alot of time on the ride and to be fair it does run pretty well now, last year it ran for most of the year pretty well apart from obviously the long bit of downtime towards the end of the year, but I dont beleave that was a reliability problem as such?
