  1. The work started is pretty minimal- I'm sure Thorpe have a fairly good idea what they could install without issue before applying for permission.
  2. Can we keep discussion on topic please and away from who's right and wrong
  3. Feedback from guests using the system is much more valuable than Somone sat at home moaning about it
  4. Arena+ Fungle + X?? and you could easily add Slammer to that list is a massive part of the park if they are really thinking of removing X.
  5. Why would you want to reserve rides from home? I'm sure idiots sat at their computers with nothing better to do booking rides from home are a large part of the issue!
  6. I guess thate the million dollar question - with everyone using it you would expect the virtual queues to be longer - but on the flip side the allocations would be significantly higher than they can be with a standby queue. Personally if I was Thorpe after these trials I'd stick it on one maze and make it the only way to get on that attraction - do fastrack through it too, then they will get a true idea of how it will work.
  7. Whilst you was sat at home slagging them off I sss at the park using the system you keep saying Is a failure, If it wasn't for the system I wouldn't have got on half the mazes I would have done - I don't see how you can argue with that?
  8. When you login and activate your reserve n ride for the day you tell the system how many are in your group
  9. I didn't get there till 6 ish too - we were kind of helped by more allocation becoming available after the initial batch had all gone - once they had gone up the virtual waits were much less. You'll be fine - the park wouldn't continue to run a system if it affected it's paying customers days as much as it's made out.
  10. Got on them all apart from BWP (Could of done if had wanted) Used RnR for Studio 13, Saw Alive and Cabin. It seemed to work for us, longest wait we had was around 20 mins for Studio 13 which was better than the 60 min standby queue. I think RnR has potential, I think there being 3 Queues (RnR, Fastrack and Standby) does complicate things slightly, if they could do fastrack only through RnR and make it 2 queues that may work better but could end up upsetting fastrack users.
  11. They are all open now
  12. At the end of the day, its upto the management of the parks to decide what the rules are, if you don't like it, don't visit, no ones forcing you too.
  13. It is still similar sized groups.
  14. Would explain Fish's early closure
  15. There's no limit to fastrack plus , once you've used your first 3 you can do 3 more. To be fair they seemed to suffer the same fastrack issues - as soon as a ride went down fastrack allocations went to pot and end up stood in a non moving queue. I guess there's no 100% bullet proof way of doing things.
  16. Reduced to a degree (assuming no more guests are attracted) - for RnR to truly work they need things which can please large groups of people and not be something else you need to queue for. Either way I'm sure it will be a interesting few years!
  17. As it stands - I agree there isn't enough things to do with RnR in full operation, realistically though I think if they can make it work as they want to that is years away, in which time they could add additional things to do to help combat this problem.
  18. Having fastrack through the app in theory will help as the system will be aware of the amount of people in the normal virtual queue and fastrack queues and be able to estimate queues better. Glad they are trying it on mazes - can see it working quite well if people understand it.
  19. Not to sure about the actors but I'm pretty sure it is official!
  20. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ugM942grcS4 - thought this was pretty good!
  21. It depends on the day. If it's one of these days they know they will have a high chance of issues then security is stepped up with police presence / more bag searching.I was at one of these days at towers last year and the crowds around the towers was horrible - you literally had to squeeze through 100's of people blocking the entrances, there was police there watching over things and didn't see much trouble apart from at a couple of mazes.
  22. Heh - if you think Thorpe with maze fastrack is bad you've seen nothing till you see how much universal sell!
  23. I think this sums up pretty well this isnt a problem exclusive to Thorpe..
  24. Is it not a bit different? I thought Smiler ran all 5 of its train and was never bought as a "Spare"?
