  1. You'd think so wouldn't you.Lol.
  2. It's probably because while you are posting, a lot of your posts are also being deleted, bringing it back down.
  3. Coar. I'd love to ride Elle.:PBut in all seriousness, besides the slightly poop name and infuriating countdown thing, you actually did a pretty good job there! All I've watched is the action video thingy, but it does look like a pretty darn good project you've put together, well done. :PNext time though, if I were you, just upload the videos, the track etc. and show people, you don't want the endless 'advertising' to mar the actual ride you've created, which it has in this case (see Chaz above for evidence!). I mean, if you'd just wacked the links on here and been like 'Hey guys, this is a thing I made with No Limits, what do you think?' everyone would have just been like yeah nice one that's really good, there wouldn't have been any of the negativity surrounding it.Anyway, that's next time, all in all job well done, nice one.
  4. Just to clarify, I was planning on posting the Tomb Blaster audio right after my post, however RapidShare is taking long times.PEACE OUT Y'ALL!
  5. I have the Tomb Blaster audio, but I'm afraid I can't send it out.
  6. As per usual, Mark hit the nail on the head. :)That said, I think all this collecting theme park music is pretty lame anyway. Fair play if you enjoy the odd track, but the people that go around collecting all the music they can by whatever means possible and then brag about it on the internets are just pathetic.
  7. Where's the construction pictures? I DEMAND PICTURES!;-)

Not that I am of an opinion, but just because there isn't anyone around (as far as you're aware) that can be offended, doesn't mean that something you say isn't offensive. If a tree falls in the woods, but nobody's around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Firstly, there were 144 pages of this topic a minute ago, none of the posts needed deleting, so wtf?Secondly, I don't hate you Tommy, so don't worry! ;)Thirdly, Marc your opinion is and always has been so one sided and two dimensional with regards to Apple and Microsoft that it's almost not worth considering anymore! When stripped down your posts never appear to be much more than APPLE SUX MICROSOFT RAWK.However, I agree with you that as people are discussing the adverts, then clearly they are being successful. I must admit that my first thought was 'what?', and I didn't realise that they were employing a metaphor with the 'Life Without Walls' slogan, but perhaps all the sun has gone to my head. ;)Design wise, I do like the advert above (the only one I’ve seen or care to see), however I think it is let down by the large section of smaller text that detracts attention and means that at first glance, I didn't even notice the slogan. The garish yellow may be a little outdated too, but it does the job. With regard to the Mac vs. PC adverts, I don't think they can really be compared for obvious reasons, the formats are too different. I don't think that the Mac vs. PC adverts should be seen as 'slagging off' Microsoft either, they are just comparisons, that obviously Apple would swing in their favour; Microsoft could easily produce something similar if they wanted to. But clearly they don't want to, the advert above does nothing to 'slag off' Apple in any way, they know that this would be an ultimately fruitless venture. Companies don't just spend large amounts of money on advertising campaigns because they're upset that a rival was mean to them, they embark on marketing for a variety of different reasons, including extending the life of a current product, marketing a new one, increasing sales or consumer awareness. Adverts are generally Informative or Persuasive, not Back-stab-ive.As for the Bill Gates & Jerry Seinfeld adverts, I agree that they are good fun to watch, especially online as viral advertising, but they aren't so practical to be used with conventional mass-market advertising methods purely because of the length of them, far too extensive for an E4 advert break or a pre-movie showing. So, I still have no idea what the aim of this advert is, or what it's trying to sell me, which leads me to question if it successfully achieves its aims at all.Business 101 people!

Oblivion is great as it is. Don't fix what ain't broken.
  16. If you are able to walk unaided, then as far as I'm aware there is no reason why you shouldn't have got on anything! As you mention, being water rides both Dragon Falls and Bubbleworks boats are moved by the water in the current, provided by the pumps moving the water through the troughs. If the pumps stop, the boats will eventually stop, however this would be far from instantaneous, and especially in the case of Bubbleworks the boats would probably stack up at the bottom of the lift/station before they come to rest of their own accord.I agree with you on Vampire, while as far as I'm aware if you can't walk unaided you are permitted to ride, actually getting to the disabled entrance itself is somewhat a task! However Vampire is another ride I don't work on, so you'd be better off asking someone in that area if there is a seperate wheelchair entrance because I'm not sure.Alex.
  17. Wether or not you believe that Mr & Mrs Roper's case is justified, what right do you have to make sweeping statements about two people you've never met over the internet?Merlin Entertainments is a big company, it doesn't need potty-mouthed teenage fankids typing naughty words on their computers to defend it.I personally believe that their continued legal action is hypocritical, especially when considering that they own a factory which has articulated lorries driving to and from it outside the houses of several residents somewhere in the UK day and night. I also believe it to be petty, as it was initially about the yearly Fireworks displays, something that everyone in the country has to put up with (or enjoy, in my case) every November. I have people down the street setting off some huge display size fireworks, I haven't sued them.Thirdly it's very selfish, by attempting to damage the amount of business Alton Towers makes they are effectively trying to damage the several local B&B's, Pubs and other local amenities that benefit greatly for the people that the Towers bring to the area.
  18. Another staff member here! Mark works in Rides and Attractions, as do I (also glad to hear our area rides, Rattle and Runaway, were good!). With the four rides he listed, the issue is more with evacuation in the event of an emergency than the actual getting on and off the ride. For example, with Rattlesnake and The Runaway Train whilst it may be easy enough to get in and out of the ride, if the car/train stopped for whatever reason while you were on the circuit and we had to evacuate it, both of these rides can only be evacuated with the use of ladders. Therefore we are required by Health & Safety Regulations to only allow those who can walk unaided onto the ride, as ladders can are of course near impossible to use if you can't walk. I imagine it's the same kind of reasoning for both Dragon Falls and Bubbleworks. One other issue I can think of is that if the boats in the Bubbleworks station are stopped, those on the circuit are going to keep moving, causing them all to stack up at the entrance to the station and the bottom of the lift hill. The is different to say, Dragons Fury, where we can easily stop and start the cars for people to get in and out if need be. I don't know if this would cause any technical with Bubbleworks as it's not a ride I've ever worked on, so Peter would probably be the best person to ask about that.I do agree there is never any excuse for rude or arrogant staff members though. Of course sometimes you're just having a bad day but you should always make sure you're polite and couteous, especially when you know that sadly you're going to have to tell a guest something they don't want to hear.I can appreciate why you (and believe me, many other disabled guests) feel that there being four rides you my be unable to go on is unfair, however you can get on the vast majority of our best attractions, and whilst I can imagine it's very dissapointing, we are only looking out for your best interests by enforcing the laws layed down for us by the government. Here's a quote from the Chessington website for you about leaving comments about your day, I've included the address that you'll need to write to. I'm also more than willing to help out with any questions etc. you may have if need be. :PAlex.

You've ordered the damn thing so you obviously like it, therefore please stop f**king moaning about stupid ****y little things. It's like you're still trying to be the cool dude waving the 'I HATE APPLE' flag, yet sneaking off to listen to your new iPod every now and then hoping nobody notices.
