  1. Guys, we already have a Christmas thread Since 2011 http://forum.maniahub.com/topic/9464-christmas/
  2. If anyone wants a 25% voucher for a MAP I still have a few left May as well get them used before they expire on 31st December Oh and I will be getting my MAP that day as well, will try and get to London early so that I can get that sorted before the meet starts. Shrek - standard MAPs DO have access this year but ONLY by prebooking. Premium can prebook if they want but they can also book it on the day as well. Given that it's a Sunday, we might be OK to book it on the day like we did with the Dungeons last year (assuming everyone has premium). But I've also seen how quickly it sells out during school holidays, and there'll be quite a lot of us (well I think, I mean it's hard to know when the attending list still isn't updated ). If I was advising someone, I'd urge them to prebook to be on the safe side. But that's assuming everyone attending this meet has MAPs and that the time slot doesn't sell out/website doesn't crash If we do decide to prebook, it would probably be easier to get one or two people to book for the whole group and then pay them back On a lighter note, I look forward to Boris. I may even accessorize him with a Christmas hat.

    TPM Awards 2015

Ooh er (Although I legit don't know what meet people are referring to )
  4. AIRHOP?! This was literally my reaction: Will definitely be there
  5. Ah I should've made it clearer; I meant how did people know what type of ride each one is The map only mentions the names of the rides, it doesn't say what the actual rides are. Glad XXL is returning too, that was awesome! Kicked Vortex's ass

    Cats or Dogs?

If that person decides to feed that cat, knowing it's not theirs (and probably aware that it's not a stray as it won't look thin etc), then they are also to blame Obviously not a dig at your opinion, just a rant at those people in general I'm talking about those who knowingly and repeatedly feed and entice a cat inside their home (not just a friendly stroke outside), without even checking if it belongs to anyone or thinking about what they're doing. As tempting as it may be when they're friendly and cute, it's wrong, because it can encourage the cat to spend less time with its owner/it may not eat when the owner feeds it (or the opposite and become overweight)... or hardly come home, which is unfair on the owner as it may not be their fault; the cat could be well-loved and fed, they're just naturally curious animals. Crazy cat lady rant over Some cats can be like that, but you do get many who are very loyal, even end up lost for months or years and find their way back to their owners! And they definitely can recognise their owners There's even cats who have alerted their owners to danger, such as burglars, the smell of gas, etc. Cats Protection have their own National Cat Awards for such felines Ooh and don't forget the likes of Bob the street cat, and Jessi-Cat (the Birman cat who is really helping a boy with selective mutism) I don't deny that a dog's loyalty is different though, and that they're more excitable and pleased by things, whereas cats can be more "Meh" or picky And yes, cats own you and your house.
  7. In terms of Merlin, I don't feel I've made the most of my MAP this year But then there is the London meet coming up! Thorpe - 4 (Would've been more but things cropped up, but no loss ) Chessie - 3 (1 whole day, 2 evening after work visits ) Alton - 1 Adventure Island - 1 (and that's enough ) Did Drayton once for the first time this year And of course, returned to DLP I've actually enjoyed Thorpe this year, probably because I've not overdone it the past two years! It was good to return to Fright Nights after I missed it last year, and also to do my first MOS Loved that! The only other park I know I'm definitely doing this year is Winter Wonderland. No idea about next year, I haven't planned that far ahead. But now I have a DLP annual pass, I'd like to get another visit(s) there!

"Coffee"...as in coffee shops in the Netherlands? Efteling was blates just a cover up for a more serious addiction
  9. Yes, happy birthday to the legendary EC! And not forgetting two other legends: James2 and BBJ Good ol' times were had.
  10. CAPRIOLO? The Turbine was alright but the gondolas didn't seem to flip as fast/intensely as a Capriolo! I've been desperate to get back on one since I went on one 3 years ago, it was one of the most intense flat rides I've done The line up looks amazing, I think I'll definitely be spending more time on the rides at the London meet! May have to go twice! It's the only fun fair I ever visit (the joys of living in boring, suburban Crawley, miles from everyone else...)! How did you guys get the full list of rides, and is it accurate? The only page I've found that mentions the rides is the unofficial FB Winter Wonderland page, but you'd have to trawl through loads of comments and stuff to compile that list like TPJames has
  11. I'm just glad that the meet is on the Sunday and not the day before - means that I can actually watch the Strictly final Yeah I'll do Secret Santa (I have tons of stuff to give away anyway LOL).

    Cats or Dogs?

My previous cat, Tango, was exactly like that. He would always greet us when we came home, would even be waiting by the door as he would recognise the sound of my mum's car or be looking out the window and see us coming Whenever someone was crying, he would go up really close to them, head butt them and meow as if showing concern. And was just generally such an affectionate, loving cat, I honestly haven't known another cat like him
  13. Presumably they will still have that token system again this year. Some people may have an idea of how much they're going to spend or what rides they definitely want to do (don't even know what the line up is though!), but I imagine most won't know how many they're buying until the day itself It depends how much the rides will cost, how much money people will have/how broke people are, their mood at the time (aka rides vs sitting down after a long day, chilling with alcohol )...how long is a piece of string basically

    Youtube Videos

What with it recently being "Future Day", I reminded myself of the random BTTF videos/poops. Including this: I will forever think of that whenever I watch the film now - like with any YTP actually Guitar exit!
  16. ^They're very nice and detailed though, and have the rubber backs like the Disney ones, which stay on far better Also the packaging said limited edition when I went, and I guess with it being Dreamworks too it possibly increases the price?
  17. Just as a heads up: Drop Dead at The Dungeons will be closed from 4th December - 26th due to annual maintenance. Scream at Madame Tussaud's is unavailable for the rest of the year (since 7th September), however the Chamber of Horrors is still open.
  18. !!!Don't panic - you can't book online for the same day (I'm guessing you tried on or after midnight), however you can buy it on the day
  19. For park entry? Well there's quite a few using magic passes and they can't prebook, so you won't be the only one If anyone else needs to use a magic pass then let me know
