People who always have to have a comeback, or turn the situation into some kind of competition, when you're in a worse or different situation than they are. They do not have the faintest idea how I feel and when I try to explain, they start with the "I get that too but blah blah blah". It would be like a person who wears glasses telling a blind person that they understand how they feel but they just need to try harder to see. No. No no no!

Cheers for replying Peaj even though you're on holiday! I appreciate that you're all trying your best and there's demand for lifts... but I replied shortly after this thread was started and did say that I'd probably need a lift. So I'm a little confused why I'm on the bottom of that list. If it's based on members PMing Peaj/personally contacting him - I didn't do so as I thought it best to post here, where anyone driving could see the request. Plus, I was told a month or more ago that his car was full, so didn't see the point in contacting him. I apologise for the negativity and I'm not blaming anyone, please don't misunderstand me! I just feel bugged by the fact that I did what I thought was the quickest, most logical and polite way of asking for a lift but it turns out that I'm not really getting anywhere.

Can I shotgun shotgunning that (like, if you drop out, I've already shotgunned it lol)? Only, I still don't actually know who is giving lifts and whatnot I know Peaj and t'other mods here are busy peeps but as a suggestion, to make it easier/less stressful for those requiring lifts etc - and like Paige suggested before - perhaps there could be a list or something of who is taking who, who needs a lift, room buddies, etc. It's mainly getting there which I'm worried about, as I've discussed accommodation with a few others and have a potential plan. But none of us are sure on travel! I had a brief, silly dream about this meet last night - Luke and Liam decided it was better for the three of us to stay in Travelodge DERBY! I was pretty confused and unimpressed with their daft choice of accommodation, I have to say Oh and what's happening with the Manor Mortis thang? I'm so confused
I figured I may as well be straight forward - no chance of me getting a train up so will deffo need a lift - plus I'm probably not the only one with these questions! 1) Who is giving lifts to this? 2) Who has spaces left? 3) Please can I take a space? 4) Who is up for sharing a room with me? I don't snore, talk or fart in my sleep like some members do!
Jump off the bridge, yes It was bad enough when they randomly came to my local Tesco in 2010 - flippin' great queue of squealing girls, I had no idea what was going on, nor did I really know/care who they were!
I used to write awesome hurrendous quite awesome trip reports all the time, up until around June last year, when I didn't write one for the Inferno ERT meet; for some reason I just lost the desire and interest, and it never really returned However, now I've seen this, it's got me thinking I might do a mini one for Towers, given that the meet isn't exactly fresh in my mind anymore. Never fear - the funny, entertaining memories are still there!

Not me, I don't have anything to swim in That's if I attend the meet; I still need to find a lift and some lovely people to Travelodge it with I don't know who is driving up, plus I feel bad/too shy to ask directly, so I'd rather just ask here I have looked at trains etc, but the total cost of transport from my house to the park itself - for just one day - is the same, maybe more, than petrol and hotel costs per person in a group for both days! The total journey time for the trains there and back is 8 hours, before I've even travelled to/from the park And unless I leave my house at about 5am, I wouldn't get there for opening and I have a feeling I'd have to leave before park closing to get the bus, might be wrong though... Either way, I can't justify spending that much money and time on travel for what *might* be one whole day at the park, if there's a chance I could spend about the same for a whole weekend.
Gah, yes! Speaking of incorrect signs (although this was obviously a joke), that reminds me of a seaside cafe in Worthing which has a sign outside saying, "Open 8 days a week" Well, I'm not sure if it still does now, but when I was young, my nan and grandad would take me and my brother down to Worthing for a day in the summer holidays, and we always used to go to that cafe!
