No that was the sound of Rush Vortex doesn’t make any noise when stopped. The operator would’ve done a cycle stop/soft stop, as an e-stop on Vortex would bring the ride to an end, but would prevent the floor rising ? I couldn’t help but laugh at parts of that article - NOT the incident itself of course, but the overly dramatic way it was written and just the general Sun language ? And a chair?! I find the part about the staff “standing around laughing” odd and hard to believe though.

Maybe they’ll start incorporating bits of Slammer into the mazes ?

I had the exact the opposite the other week (Sunday 26th) - that was the first time I’ve had actors after riding it - pretty sure I’ve never been on and had actors in there before! Although I’ve not been to Thorpe that much this year and this was only the third time I’ve ridden The actors barely made a difference though...we came through the doors and they were just sat on the boxes, chatting, out of role...was pretty hilarious actually And yeah I know what you mean about that corridor smell - it’s kinda like really bad breath

I’ve now got to the point where I’d consider not even going on with my group ? It’s not re-rideable anymore. But the worst thing for me is the queueing experience. The queue moves stupidly slowly, and in all my experiences has ended up far longer than the time on the app (which is pretty accurate for the other rides). I’m not just talking about break downs - there have been times where the queue has started off moving fairly regularly, and then it suddenly slows down drastically/stops for ages for no reason. In fact, every time I’ve gone on DBGT I’ve had a negative queueing experience! The queueline itself is just awful, claustrophobic and the most depressing one I’ve ever experienced. Glad @Stuntman707 has finally given up on this, means I won’t have to endure it as often now ?

It was, and I loved it I thought it actually made it much better and more realistic! Also the staircase leading up to the station in Saw was almost pitch black (at one point we struggled to see where we were going!), but again this made it better as it fitted in with the theme Shame they can’t do that more often!
