  1. As much merchandise as possible please I'm a sucker for it I won't know where to look first in the shop!Swarm Bear and hoodies/clothing though And a keyring to add to my set of keys!Ooh and a lanyard/pen thingy, that'll be good!Like I said, love ze merchandise. Even got excited by the stuff on Brighton Pier I wonder what the hoodies etc if they have any would be like? Similar to the ones they bought out last year which didn't have the actual logos etc or with the logo? I can picture a black hoody with the face of the Swarm train with the logo/ride name above it/below it. Or maybe without, could still work! Mmmmm merchandise...
  2. Firstly, congratulations on getting the job Which department are you in?Well, don't wear jeans or trainers if that's what they advised not to wear You still want to continue making a good impression now you are an employee, and show that you have good listening skills and can follow instructions. I'd say dress smart casual; you won't need to be too smart at an induction. As for the people you saw wearing jeans/trainers...well they're not setting a very good example/bothering to make much effort if they're not following instructions already! So don't worry about them They're the ones that are the "dimlos" as you put it :PHope I've helped, have fun at Thorpe!
  3. Yes :DWill be wearing a uniform this year that excites Sheepie very much
  4. Is concerned about putting his hands up on Oblivion incase they "get chopped off by the basket!"
  5. Also, how often were trains crashing/disasters happening in Thomas The Tank Engine? :oThe one I remember the most was where Thomas crashes into the station master's house while he and his family were eating breakfast...and all the wife cared about was her toast being ruined, never mind the steam train that has just ploughed into her front room! :PMy brother used to be scared by the "Ghost Train" episode, the music :oAnd the episode of Charlie Chalk where they go on the treasure hunt And the one with the "Bye Bye Beast" whose favourite food was seaweed dipped in "Sneeze cure"! Aah it's all coming back to me now
  6. Ooh just thought of another - The Animals of Farthing Wood Quite upsetting for a children's program but was brilliant at the same time
  7. I don't know if I could name a favourite, but here are the most awesome ones: Charlie Chalk (one of the best!) Bertha Thomas The Tank Engine Raggy Dolls Family Ness The Queen's Nose The Demon Headmaster (scary!!) Bodger & BadgerRugratsWild Thornberrys Sylvester & Tweety Get Your Own Back Fun House Live & Kicking SMTV: Live Spot Pingu Robot Wars Gotta love the old theme tunes too!
  8. Actually yeah, to be fair, that's the first time I've seen that coat in that colour. Usually I see the navy blue one
  9. I was doing that I was like "OOOH Flying Fish...OOOH plane....OOOH fire engine!"
  10. "VAIR IS THE TOILET?!" :PShipping containers?
  11. Awesome stuff Although I couldn't help by being distracted by all the mud/groundwork, it ruined it a bit for me BUT according to a YouTube comment: "This video was taken during initial test runs. Since them, there has been considerable themeing and landscaping around the site." :)But in terms of the actual coaster itself, it looks amazing and sounds amazing
  12. Does it really matter if there a lot of meets in one month? Surely this is a good thing, because it gives people a lot of choice, less chance of disappointment, plus with The Swarm, the more oppornuties to ride
  13. There will be another advert because they filmed the TV one the other week, with real people :DPatience, my dears
  14. Liam getting seductive in his wedding dress.
  15. So is it the official ad?
  16. Added myself to the attending list Double checked with work today about getting the day off and even though it still needs to be authorised by this senior guy, my supervisor said it should be fine and he's positive it will be authorised. Wooo!Really excited for this and also the Mini Meet on Saturday 17th Apart from the uber excitement for Swarm, I'm looking forward to seeing people again and meeting new faces!
  17. RHUBARB!Add me to the attending list Double checked with work today about getting the day off and even though it still needs to be authorised by this senior guy, my supervisor said it should be fine and he's positive it will be authorised. Wooo!Really excited for this and also the official meet on Sunday 25th Apart from the uber excitement for Swarm, I'm looking forward to seeing people again and meeting new faces!
  18. Oh is it? Well thats taken the humour away from that moment then! Well it was still funny to hear Marc say it, whether or not he meant it or was quoting from BB.
  19. Super Booster was taken down today As I said before it's due to maintenance issues. It kept getting stuck; either at the top, where it wouldn't release so they had to slower lower it back down then test it, or it would get stuck halfway up. It happened a hell of a lot, like several times a day.One senior member of staff who was talking about it reckons it's the "sea air" which is causing it to rust, which I guess in turn damages the ride and causes it to suffer with these problems.Apprently it has been sold to M&D's so could be travelling around the UK :)I know it's only a ride and its only Brighton Pier (although now I work there I guess I'm becoming more "attatched" to the rides ) but it was so unique, the ONLY ride of its kind in the UK, intense (made even more so by the fact the seats are basically stand-up-floorles!) and such a great spectator ride. The moment people were on it a crowd would gather to watch. And you always knew when it had just dropped because you could feel this wobble wherever you were on the pier Being right next to it in the staff room was insane! For those of you who never went on it, never been to Brighton and just to remember such an awesome ride, here are some videos:Off ride On ride The guy in this one is hilarious, love his "Oooeer!" noise at 0:44 LOL!On ride at night Also love the way the wind blasts your face and rushes through your ears when you do that first drop, and the speed, gah! The noise on the POVs is great!Such an awesome ride! Really going to miss it, I hope I get to ride it again in the future somewhere! It is the second most scariest/intense ride I have ever done after the Sky Coaster at Blackpool. Even though the most intense part is the first drop, the rest is still fun and nothing could ever get you used to that drop! Makes Detty seem pathetic and a complete doddle when you compare it!(Oh and btw, this ride is not to be confused with the Mondial Capriolo )UPDATE: Here is the latest blog entry from Brighton Pier http://www.brightonpier.co.uk/blog/hello-simulatorSo, what I was told at my interview about a simulator is true...but nothing yet on the Move-It they also mentioned. Really hope they get one, would be a great addition to the pier (and great to operate)!
  20. Ok guys, we are going to have a sign with us at the meet point to indicate who/where we are, and also for the lolz So look out for this:
