When me and Mum rode it last weekend we chatted with the ride host, and he said it was a rule that Vekoma had brought in for the ride. Not sure whether it's true or not though.
  4. Could've been anything. Faulty harnesses?
  5. Nemesis Inferno did have some downtime yesterday, think someone had dropped a phone or something like that. Down for maybe 20 minutes or so. Good to see you yesterday on Stealth, Planenut. Colossus x1 NI x1 Saw, the ride x1 Swarm x4 Stealth x3 X x1 Rush x1 Oh yes, loving the Fright Night dispatch announcements on Colossus and Stealth, and the station music on Inferno.
  6. I went on the old one at Rhyl. Was a lot of fun. I did see Vikingar a few times, but SBNO.
  7. Having ridden Maelstrom at DMP yesterday makes me know why I Don't ride Vortex. A much better ride, and more capacity.

  9. Wonder how far up that second spike it'll get.
  10. And call it errrrr, Jurrasic pa......... Damn, already taken by a movie franchise.
  11. First experienced Thorpe about early to mid 80's. The only thing that was there that still is is the Dome.
  12. I did notice the top speed of the Suspended coaster in the video as 15 MPH. Unless my eyes are playing up.
  13. Might be paying a visit there next month, so might try and get some pics.
  14. Going upside down for the first time on Indiana Jones at DLP got me hooked.
  15. Is that part a new tunnel?
  16. Don't forget though Zach, it would've been thrilling for people back then, not sure what they would make of some of today's rides.
  17. Yep. Always ride that when I go there. The laterals are insane
  18. It's not that kind of park I'm afraid. They want attract families, not groups of teens like the merlin parks. I know where you are coming from though. I have been many a time and sometimes wished they had a multi looping coaster.
  19. I went there in 2006, and have to say, back then El Condor was actually the smoothest "off the shelf " Vekoma SLC's I have ridden. As a matter of fact it's actually the first one they built. We enjoyed Goliath so much, they let us have a few more goes after the park had shut, as we were camping on site anyway. I keep on saying on here, why can't merlin get a normal, airtime filled, no gimmicks, no inversions. Something simple, but a lot of fun.
  20. Haha. Harsh but hilarious.
