  1. I've done the Rita winch room, during operation. Pretty cool
  2. As long as it's not during the 25th -27th april, then I should be fine.
  3. And the general public, who mainly think woodies are unsafe.
  4. Looking promising . Thanks for the link Pluk
  5. Might have to take a trip up there sunday now, as were going to leave it. Dark Smiler, hopefully, here we come
  6. I'm going on the last day of the season, so I hope a certain ride is running for a night ride or two.
  7. 6 hours for me, same as Blackpool
  8. I wish I lived a lot nearer to oakwood. Hopefully get there again next year.
  9. Lol. Shared that on Facebook earlier. Made me chuckle.
  10. It's 4 years since I have been to Oakwood, so can't remember either of the rides. I tend to spend a lot of time on Megafobia, can't understand why though
  11. I just want to walk the length of the Grand National now
  12. Last thursday me and Mum headed to Blackpool for a day in the park on the friday, but more importantly for me to Walk the Big One. Thursday night was to see the lights from ground level, and finally got on the Big Wheel on Central Pier. Friday in the park, headed straight to the Big One for the first ride of the day. One train on, and the last 2 cars were sandbagged all day, leading to the biggest queue of the day. Everything else was walk on, and on Big Dipper several times we had to wait for more people to arrive. Put it this way, it was nice to get on some woodies again, including 7 goes on the Wild Mouse, and managed to get on the last car of the day, Miffy I think. Now for the main event, the 420 steps to the top of the Big One. I was meant to go up at 8.00pm, but was later, as the 7.00 lot were seen climbing about 7.45. The Star, where we were meant to meet was booked for a conference, so we were let in and headed to the top floor of Burger King. Had a saftey breif and then got harnessed up. A few minutes later we were getting connected up to the saftey line beside the track heading up the lift, and then up we went. We all stopped for photos and video at the 50ft, 100ft and 150ft markers, then made the final push to the summit, 235 ft above sea level. there was a slight breeze, maybe about 12 MPH and no rain Official photos were taken at the top, and then, unfortunatley we had to start making our way down, as there was an additional group after us, so yes, it's very popular. Hopefully they will do this next season aswell. Ok, at £35.00, it is a bit pricey, but it's really worth it.
  13. I sent them an email back, and had one back saying it was an error on their part. Walk back on
  14. To me, a wooden coaster should be just that, a wooden coaster. No gimmiky inversions, just a long airtime filled ride but would prefer a Twister style as opposed to an out and back.
  15. Had an email from the PLeasure Beach today saying my slot was full. I booked it on the 26th last month, got e.ticket and everything. Not happy
  16. That actually scared the crap out of me
  17. I'm doing it on the 20th this month. Will let you know how I get on, but I cannot wait. Plus a full day in the park to ride some much needed wood. Hopefully I will put some pictures from my climb up on here.
  18. I spy an RCCGB jacket on the loading platform. Sadly I have'nt been to Oakwood for 3 years. Speed is my favorite Eurofighter, with that airtime hill and intense helix to finish.
  19. I must be one of the few people that actually enjoy Goudurix. Worst one for me is G Force at DMP. You go out the station being able to breath, but come back begging for the restraint to be released.
  20. Looked like a brilliant event. Thanks for sharing all those photos
  21. Has to be either Stealth or the Swarm for me, although NI does have to get a mention
  22. Loopathon? If so, see you there.
